I bought this through Target--their reviews said it was great! It seemed to dehumidify, although slowly. However, I was concerned that the "brick" on the AC cord was hot, so hot that I couldn't hold it for more than a few seconds. I found out online that such a problem could be a fire hazard! I called the company, Sunpentown, and they mailed out another cord with the instructions that if this one was also abnormally hot (which it was), I should mail the whole unit back (which I did). Sounds like they've had this problem more than once before. The replacement unit also has a really hot cord. So I suppose this merry-go-round will continue until they hopefully refund my money.

The unit worked ok until the plug melted. The part of the plug that connects to the unit got so hot it melted the plastic. Major fire hazard. I am going to see if I can get a refund.

This product is totally worthless. I ran this for five days and it only collected about 1 ounce of water. And I had 55% humidity in my house! It is worthless. I had it in a tiny room and it didn't drop the humidity 1%. It is also very loud and the AC block gets super hot. A sure sign of a worthless poorly made piece of junk.

The worse part is, I ordered it here on Amazon, but some other company shipped it to me. Now Amazon won't give me a refund. They say to email them and they will set up a procedure for you to return the item. I have e-mail twice over the past three days and nothing!

I needed a dehumidifier for making screens for screen printing on t-shirts. I went to Lowes and bought a small $150 unit. In a few hours the humidity in the room dropped from over 50 to the low 40's and it had collected about eight ounces.

Take my advice. Buying a $50 humidifier was a huge mistake and a waste of time. I will seriously think twice about ever ordering from amazon.com. Call me old fashion but I think I should be able to return a product to the store(in this case website) I bought it from. Imagine buying something from Lowes that is defective, then when you try to return it they say. Oh you can't return that here. You have to return it to Joe's Hardware!

I would give this product and Amazon.com negative stars if I could.

It will remove some humidity and replace it with heat. So, you're left with a semi-humid hotter space after installing this thing not good. It runs hot. After about a year it has started to make a loud noise and is not dehumidifying with any degree of efficiency. It appears to be on its last leg. Stay away from this product.

I have a W12 Bionaire Humidifier that requires TWO of these filter packs. Check your humidifier carefully before you order, I thought I was ordering a spare filter, but in fact required two quantity of this product. The part ordered here is for one single filter (there are two filter elements per pack).

The filters fit perfectly. They are exactly what are required, for about a month worth of humidification air filtration. If you are a little bit handy, there is an infinitely less expensive solution to this, well, I hate to say it, but, highway robbery. Purchase a standard furnace filter, 3M Filterette is a really great choice. The plastic frame of these filters pop apart fairly easily (there are a series of tabs you pry apart). Cut down the furnace filter, and place it inside the plastic frame. Be extremely careful with the sharp ends of the wire mesh on the filter.

Adding things up, four pairs of these filters per humidification season plus a wick, and this humidifier is a very expensive unit to run.

The steamer works great...and the finish appears to be able to hold up over time. It holds two 1/2 quarts of water...and our little cast iron stove has it steaming in no time.

I was worried about it being too shallow, but this big girl had more than enough room for 4 or more cups of water at once. It's very sturdy and HEAVY. Make sure to have a spare watering can to transport water to this vessel. Also keep a oven mitt near, as the top heats up quite a bit. Shipping took little longer than I would have liked but it was worth the wait. Beautiful, quality piece.

This co-sleeper is everything that they promise. Our son slept in this until he was 14 months old. "Mini" is kind of an overstatement. It is very generously sized and easy to put up.

The sheets are well made and easy to change. They aren't Eqyptian cotton by any means, but, fit the bed and do the trick. The sheets fit perfectly (and snugly) around the mattress and then velcro to the mattress itself, so it is extremely safe. The matress and sheet combo then attach securely (with velcro) to the bed. It does not lay flat though it has a slight curve to it but the baby has never noticed.

The ONLY downside to this mattress/sheet arrangement is that the mattress is not waterproof. You MUST have a waterproof pad underneath the sheet as the mattress is also not washable. Trust me, get a crib sized waterproof pad and cut it to fit. One the size of a pack-n-play mattress should do it.

Overall, this product deserves RAVE reviews it is just perfect!

Yes, you read it correctly, this co-sleeper, doesn't require assembly. Shocked to receive the box and it says no assembly, couldn't believe my eyes. The setup took less than 5 minutes to do, yes it was just that easy, didn't even need to open the manual, awesome. The actual crib / bassinet is big enough for up to 6 month baby, wish it was a bit wider, then it'll last even longer. The packing is very smart, I was able to pack it up and take it with me on a trip without a fuss, and the baby can sleep comfortably just like she is home. You don't really need to use the extra leg or wheels, some shorter beds will work better without it, and if you have a tall bed, then use the wheel and legs to make the co-sleeper taller to fit.

Overall an excellent constructed piece, secure feeling, smart design, good storage area, probably if there is one complaint would be the mattress is a bit on the thin side. You can fix that with some extra thick blankets or sheets to wrap around it for more comfort.

When my husband and I found out I was pregnant his only request was that we get a portable cosleeper bassinet that attached to the bed and could fold up for travel. We searched and searched and this is the one we agreed on. It is easy to put up and easy to take down. The mattress is not as hard as some of the reviews have said, but, It's a bassinet mattress, it's not supposed to be squishy....squishy mattresses lead to suffocation. I am now patiently waiting for my son to arrive so we can utilize this.

My wife and I both have allergies and this little unit definitely helps improve the air quality in our house. I recommend it.

Austin Air also makes the same unit but with a HEPA filter which supposedly targets different particles; we've tried both and can't tell the difference between them. Either way we can tell the difference when we shut it off for a while.

but not cool air. Doesn't really make much difference the temperature of the water or how much ice (yes, ice) you add, it doesn't do much to cool the air temperature. Dropped the temperature a whopping 1.3 degrees F in my first test (from 85.3 degrees to 84 degrees), and 0.9 degrees F in my second test. Don't bother.

Don't waste your money.

Very poor quality. Doesn't help to cool very much.

Difficult to refill.

I tried using it for my bedroom which is pretty average sized, and my fan worked much better than this. Do not expect the cooler can cool your room in the summer.

I've used swamp coolers for years but can't have on in this 10th floor apartment with no porch. I use this cooler to both cool and humidify my bedroom. It does a good job, and unlike the other reviewer I find it easy to fill; I keep a gallon jug in the bedroom and fill it from the tub. It takes around 2 1/2 gallons, which lasts me around 18 hours. It's quiet at low and medium settings; the high fan speed is louder, of course. It costs almost nothing to operate, too.

It only cools if the humidity is below 40%. The humidity here ranges from 5% in mid-summer and mid-winter to maybe 25% when it's overcast (when it rains it's cool and more humid anyways). Check your average humidity; if it's above 30% or 40% this may not help you.

Second, if you put it inside a room, even with the door open, it will happily humidify and cool away UNTIL the humidity in the room reaches around 40%. Then it just gets humid.

Here's how I use it:

In the winter I put it in the doorway of my bedroom and run the ceiling fan on low in that room and the adjacent room. I then open a window in the adjacent room (yes, I like things very cool). The cooler pulls the dry air into the bedroom, cools and humidifies it, and the ceiling fan distributes it.

In summertime I put the unit inside the bedroom. I blow air-conditioned (read: dry) air from the adjacent room to the bedroom at night. This circulates the dry air over to the cooler, which humidifies it and cools it a few more degrees.

As you can see, this ISN'T an air conditioner, which would cost three to four times as much and suck up lots more electricity. If it was ducted to a window it would force air through the room and cool like a swamp cooler. Unfortunately, I haven't found anything that does this. Until I do I'll keep this unit as long as it runs.

To be fair, the product does not claim to be an air conditioner. However, it does claim to cool 12 degrees cooler, which I didn't find at all. I live in a dry Colorado climate, and still it is barely cooler than a fan. You have to fill it with tons of ice to even get that, and it requires refilling with water and ice often. If you don't clean it at least once a week, it starts smelling really bad.

All this effort of refilling and cleaning is not worth the 3 to 5 degrees cooler you get. For that, I'd rather just plug in a fan and not have to worry about it every day. Save your money and buy a portable air conditioner. It's worth the extra investment, trust me.

Don't buy this thing unless you don't mind having to continuously put ice in it. Also, if you don't live in a desert it won't cool at all. Any moisture at all, forget about it. Just get an AC. I gave mine away, was just eating my space up. Total loss.

I don't know if this is a glorified air freshener or not but whatever it is my son hasn't made a peep for the last 2 nights we have used it. He was sleeping horribly because of a nasty cold. The night we plugged this in he rolled over, closed his eyes & we didn't hear from him til morning, as well as the next night. Maybe he was feeling better, maybe he was just that exhausted and it's a coincidence but I can't say anything negative about them. Oh... well, the aroma is a bit overwhelming at first but that didn't seem to bother my son. The low setting is high enough.

We got this product for my 6mo old baby. He had a bad cold, it seems the Vapors is helping him to sleep better. Read the instructions, pads MUST NOT be placed on any furniture, clothes OR/AND SKIN! We place this product in a very small room and Works great, but the smell is strong, I guess it will work on a middle-sized room too. The light is not annoying at all,and it has an individual light "control" tap. I only wish it had an auto-off setting, but it works great anyway. It is amazing that it seems to work better tan a full sized humidifier/vaporizer.

PS: You'll get a better price through Amazon.com (for the plug thing and for the pads also).
