The steamer works great...and the finish appears to be able to hold up over time. It holds two 1/2 quarts of water...and our little cast iron stove has it steaming in no time.

I was worried about it being too shallow, but this big girl had more than enough room for 4 or more cups of water at once. It's very sturdy and HEAVY. Make sure to have a spare watering can to transport water to this vessel. Also keep a oven mitt near, as the top heats up quite a bit. Shipping took little longer than I would have liked but it was worth the wait. Beautiful, quality piece.

I've never owned an aromatherapy diffuser before, so I have nothing to compare this to, but this is a reasonably quiet (not silent -works by vibrating a little pad at the base of the water tank to aerosolize the water/oil, so there will be some noise) and the 500 ml tank lasts a very long time.

I'm using this with doTERRA oils to keep my bathroom smelling nice and to keep the air and surfaces disinfected and this is much nicer looking (to me) than the doTERRA lotus diffuser. The mist is quite fine and the scent travels farther into the house, so I feel like this unit gives good coverage. It's been great. I really can't stand candles (burning and inhaling wax and artificial scents? yuck!!) and aerosol air fresheners are poison, too. I don't know what took me so long to get one of these!

One other thing I like about this is that it has the option of keeping the light off, though the reason I give this 4 stars is because the colors are really half of what they say (not that I really want a colored light, anyway): The lighter of the shades (each color has a light and a bright shade) flickers like crazy. There is NO WAY you'd want that light on -it makes my brain hurt for the fraction of a second it takes to click through to the next color.

I've had this for about two months, now, and I use it daily. No problems at all. Easy to clean and has really made our bathroom nicer. I catch my daughter up on her step stool, nose over the mister, from time to time and it's great to know that I don't have to worry about her inhaling anything toxic. :)

I just posted this information in response to a question asked of another reviewer and it seems like information worth making more visible:

It is not silent but it is quiet -soothing, white-noise-machine (but not too loud) type sound. Just the sound of the vibration pad aerosolizing the water/oil.

I don't know about a warranty -never looked and threw the packaging away, so can't check.

Yes, has a no-light feature -was very important to me, too!

Yes, timer: 60 minutes, 120 minutes, 180 minutes, and ON (will not shut off until water gets too low). This will not, however, cycle automatically through an on-off cycle (i.e., on for 15 minutes, off for 45, on again, off again, etc.).

The machine turns itself off if the water level gets too low. BUT, since this is not a heat-evaporative unit, I don't know if there would be the same worry about a fire starting if the water ran out. Anyway, I know that it turns off if the water gets too low.

This will keep running for HOURS. I haven't timed it, but I know a full tank will run for at least 8 hours.

I now have two diffusers -one that uses water and one that doesn't -and I use them at different times and in different rooms. This product works well and holds 500 ml water. It runs for long periods of time, can be set for various time periods and has a "night lite" option or a brighter light option as well. Very nice!

I've had 4 different diffusers over the last 2 years and this is by far the best one. The fact that it holds 500 ml of water is a huge plus to me. You can leave it on all night and not worry about refilling. The colors are beautiful and you can change it to your favorite one or just leave it on "chaining every few seconds" mode. The vapor it gives is strong enough to fill the whole apartment. It was delivered very fast, which I didn't expect because it was being shipped from China. I had it within few days of ordering. Great customer service too, they replied within few hours of inquiry. I just hope it lasts longer then all the other diffusers I've had. But so far it is a great, great product. The price is the lowest on the market for this type/capacity diffusers. The ones I owned before were a lot more expensive and only lasted for a few months. Somehow those would stop working right when the warranty just expired. Highly recommended.

I have the AOS 7147 and of course these two AOS U650 units. I run them in the same room that is slightly bigger than the 650sqft that they can handle alone. The first thing that I noticed was that when turned on they both read completely different humidity levels. Sure, they were on different sides of the room but they were drastically different (i.e. 15% vs 40%). After running them for a while they seem to equalize out.

What I find super annoying about AOS (maybe ultrasonics) is that you have to clean them almost every week. to do this you generally have to unplug them and take them over to a sink and put the EZ-CAL solution in the bottom tray and let it soak. This is incredibly annnoying doing this that often, especially when you have multiple units (in my case, three two in one room, one in another).

I love the fact that these humidifiers regulate themselves. There are many options you can set the humidifier for a certain period of time or it can run all the time until the room gets to a desired humidity. The only thing that I don't like about these is when you remove the water tank, a good amount of water spills out. Just have a towel handy to wipe down the surface that the humidifier is on. Other than that, these humidifiers do the trick.

Pads are the correct fit to my humidifier and work without any problems. I bought a couple spares for next year.
