Lasko Replacement Filter THF 8 for Lasko Humidifier Review
These filters hold up well...well enough that I just replace it once a year. I toss the old one when I put it away in the spring and start with a fresh one in the fall. I'm not sure why, but they are much cheaper ($4.50 + a few dollars s/h depending on quantity) through the Lasko's online store at than Amazon's current price of $20.22.

Buy DeLonghi PAC700T Pinguino Portable Air Conditioner
I purchased the PAC600T (one step below this unit) from Amazon one year ago. When it arrived, I filled the tank with water, inserted it in the unit and my floor was covered with water less than a minute later. Turns out the unit's plastic base housing was cracked during shipment. Amazon replaced the unit, with the same results for the second unit. At that same time, there must have been lots of returns because Amazon stopped selling the unit. I stepped up to this unit with its slightly higher BTUs and hefty price.
The unit arrived fine, no leaks after filling with water, and I used it most of last summer (in a 14' x 20' room with average height ceiling). The unit puts out cool, definitely not cold, air. The only way to really use the unit is to get it started when the temperature isn't too high, then keep it running. I don't think it would be able to cool a warm room. It simply isn't overly powerful. That may have to do with the fact that it operates at 110 volt, rather than 220 like many AC units that are built into apartment walls.
The unit has been sitting behind my couch all winter. When I went to use it this year, the removable plastic water tank was cracked. It was emptied at the end of the season and not exposed to excessive temperatures, so I don't know what that's about.
I assumed that with the high BTU (and price tag), this would be the unit to use. But I'm going to try one of the less expensive units this year and check out its performance.

I bought 2 units last year. At first it worked fine. Then, this season, when I started to use the air conditioners, one of the unit leaked at the base, ruining my wood floor. I thought I could just use it without water, and I found it to be very insufficient to cool off the room. I have used different models of pinguino and I found that the newer models are more problematic. If it isn't leaking, then it is the alarm light that kept coming on, shutting down the unit. I followed the maintenance procedure to clean the unit, but it doesn't seem to help. I am fed up with pinquino. I think I may have to switch back to those window units.Best Deals for DeLonghi PAC700T Pinguino Portable Air Conditioner
This product,DeLonghi 700T,was about the worst purchase that I have ever made. The unit ran for 10 mins and then shut off. After several attempts,we finally found the service center that replaced the fan motor--after a 4 month wait for the part. But that did not fix the problem--the unit shuts down after a short run.Because all of this has taken so long,Delonghi says that the warranty is now limited and that I have to take the unit to a service center 50 miles away.It has been close to 2 years and I still do not have a functioning air conditioner.Honest reviews on DeLonghi PAC700T Pinguino Portable Air Conditioner
I purchased a Pinguino PAC 700T 3 years ago. Rated at 12,000 BTUs, it cools about as well as a 6000 BTU in-window unit. However, at the beginning of this summer season, I find that it no longer cools or dehumidifies air. I found DeLonghi's central service number (800-322-3848 in case you need it) and asked for my nearest service/repair center. They informed me that they no longer have any repair centers in Massachusetts. They suggested that I take the unit to Hartford, CT, about 2 hours from Boston where I live. Having paid $1300 for this unit just 3 years ago, I expected better service than this. It appears that DeLonghi maybe doesn't care too much about supporting their products after the sale. This will be my last DeLonghi product of any kind.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for DeLonghi PAC700T Pinguino Portable Air Conditioner
I bought the 700 Pinquino A/C unit because of its excellent energy efficiency and quiet operation. I liked the looks too, so many others look so ugly that I would not have them in my livingroom. I have had the unit for two years now, and so far no problems at all. It works great, and is very quiet, and cools my 700sqft room well, although it takes a while when above 90F. The water reservoir lasts about a day before needing refilling. My only complaint is a minor one: The plastic finish is of good quality, but it scratches easily when moving the unit around and you bump into something. If it had some color matching bumper strips or something around its middle section, that might help. I am happy with this unit.Thursday, November 27, 2014
Reviews of Glodeals Spa Soft Air Mist Humidifier Silent Aroma Diffuser
After I realized that you have to press and hold the button for the mist action to start I was glad I didn't have to send these back to China! They are similar to the ones that Earth Faire used to sell, except that these come with a cup to use for filling so you don't have to carry the diffuser to the sink. Also these have a flower design on the side, which I really didn't want, but it's not too noticeable. The lighting options give you bright/dim for four colors, plus off, so you have 9 choices. Holds a lot so you don't need to refill every time. I hope it lasts a while, I've only used it a few times since I just got it recently. I use my doTERRA essential oils which are Certified Pure, Therapeutic Grade and they smell heavenly!

Best Pure Guardian H920BL Ultrasonic Table Top Humidifier with Beaker Deals
I love this humidifier! It is quiet and gives off a lovely mist. Great for my allergies and dry-night coughs. Would do 5 stars but for two things, it's green LCD light is too bright and I have to cover it with a bean bag or it hurts my eyes while I sleep. And the water does run out in the middle of the night so I have t get up to refill it. Despite those two things, this is the best humidifier I have ever owned. If they make a 12 hour one with no green on/off light, I'll buy it and give this one to a friend. The light does turn red when the water is out, and that's really neat.
I have tried a few humidifiers over the last few years with bad results. My expectations were therefore low and also very simple:
quiet
no bright lights (so I could sleep with it on)
easy to fill up and clean
well made (it holds water and its on furniture lets not have any leaks!)
I really couldn't be happier.
The unit is quiet -unless right by your head in a silent room, you will not hear it. There IS a very slight click when the unit turns off from low water. However, mine does not click on and off and even if it did, the click isn't loud enough to bother me.
The LEDs inside the power button are green when on but so dim you can barely see it. Even if it was on my nightstand it wouldn't bother me, and I'm light-sensitive (unable to sleep with an alarm clock screen on in hotels, etc). The red "out of water" LED is brighter than the green power light, but still not bright enough to both me, and by the time it comes on it is usually sun-up out, so the light doesn't matter. The reviewers who talk about the bright light may be talking about the "night light" feature which is a blue LED that actually lights up the water canister and is quite bright. However, this is easily turned off completely by pressing the power button again: press power once, low speed no nightlight. Twice: low speed, nightlight on. Three times: high speed, nightlight on. Four times: high speed, nightlight off.
We run it on high speed and it is usually out of water when I wake up ~8 hours later. Not always, but usually. I imagine it would run the full 10 hours on low speed.
More than anything, the things that bothered me most with previous humidifiers was the poor design & poor build quality. I hated units that were built in such a way that every night I dreaded filling it up -for instance if the container was hard to fit under the water faucet, or if the thing dripped all over as you carry it across the room to refill. Or, if the way it was built was so cheap feeling you thought it might crack or leak.
Luckily none of these complaints apply. The water talk lifts off easily and doesn't drip. It is small and easy to fill. It also reinstalls easily.
Best of all it works every time I use it. Those complaining of it only working once may be overfilling the base -I've learned not to do that with all the various models I've tried. If the item doesn't make mist but it making a sound, lift up the water tank and use a paper towel to remove some of the water in the base. Reinstall the tank and it should work immediately.
I bought a different brand of larger humidifier for the living room and may return it and buy a larger one from pure guardian instead. I dread dealing with refilling the crane living room model in comparison.
Very quiet; nice selections of settings, easy to re-fill.
Necessary for dry Hotel/Motel rooms easy to travel with.
Yes, I would recommend this product.

They claim all sorts of stuff about being making germ proof containers etc. But overall this is a bad product. it doesnt even let you sleep with the constant humming noise. Pure Guardian products are a complete waste of time unless maybe used during the day when noise may not be such an issue. But then the very purpose of buying this product is to use it at night when one is sleeping to humidify the room. An absolute waste of money in my opinion!!!!.Sunday, October 12, 2014
Cheap Blueair 650E Digital HEPASilent Air Purifier
First, I would like to give a shout out for the folks at "Best Vacuum." I was having difficulty finding the Blueair 650E, and after trying to buy one at Best Vacuum, they called me and set things up so I could order one from their website. They delivered it overnight FedEx for free...a rare deal now a days! They were very good people to work with; they sell all accessories as well, so they have me as a new customer. (I do NOT work for Best Vacuum or have any relationship with them except business.)
So, my initial impressions having this unit a little over a week. I will come back later and update the review. But for now, this is what I know:
CONS:
(1) I sent three separate emails to Blueair; Two before I bought, and one after. None have been answered. This was always a deal breaker for me...I would not buy from anyone who would not respond to potential customers. However, after reading all the specs for this unit, many, many reviews both professional and from customers, and speaking with tech support on the phone, I broke my own rule and purchased it from Best Vacuum.
(2) Other than that, I am stunned by how they designed the back lit control panel on the 650E, which is used to report dust and particle numbers, use the timer, and check how many filter days are left. It also tells you the fan speed. First, they put this control panel all the way to the bottom left in front. You literally have to bend over all the way to see the panel. Even thought the panel is back-lit, the back light turns off shortly after its last use. So, at least when the back light was on, you might be able to stand back a few feet and read the panel standing up. But not for long...the back light turns off, and I need a flashlight and must bend all the way over to read it. I don't know what they were thinking. They say that the back light does not stay on as some people do not like the light at night; what would be wrong with an off and on switch so the user can decide?
PROS:
(1) The CADR numbers for this unit are unparalleled in home market air purifiers: >400, >450, AND >450. Wow! These numbers come after being tested and certified buy AHAM..the Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers. This was the primary reason I considered this model. These are the highest numbers that can be given, and I believe that only Blueair holds this distinction.
(2) Speed 1 is very quiet, and could be used at night. Speed two, the recommended day setting, is slightly louder; it can be heard but its not very annoying. Speed 3, the highest, does make noise. I just think of it as the sound of cleaner air being generated. There is also an automatic mode. The unit runs on speed 1 until it detects dust or smells in the house, then kicks itself up to #2 or #3, depending on the strength of the offending agent. It works so well that I can sit ten feet away from it and put waterless, gel type hand cleaner on and it will almost instantly pick up the odor and crank itself up.
(3) Its made of metal and comes with a remote control. The remote has a magnet in it, and you can stick it on the top or sides of the Blueair should you want.
(4) The unit is on heavy duty castors and moves around on my carpet with no problems.
(5) And finally, although the jury is NOT in yet on this, but it seems that it may very well do a great job at dust removal. We have two, top of the line Rabbit Air purifiers in our home, and have had them for about 2 years. No doubt they have helped, but we have a very unusual amount of dust in our home. Over the last 4-5 days, it seems that it really is making a dent in cooperation with the Rabbits. Again, its to early to tell for sure, but I will update this when I have an Answer. I have spent a lot of time testing it myself at home and putting it thru different tests; I'm not crazy, but after spending over $900.00 dollars, I must be pretty much convinced that it is making a MAJOR improvement for us.
Best Vacuum gives a 30 day, no questions asked return policy. They will pay for return shipping, and even have FedEx pick the box up at your home. Amazon has a direct link to Best Vacuum you can find after searching for "Blueair 650E" on their website. Best Vacuum will be one of the authorized sellers.
For now, we are very happy, but need much longer to judge its effectiveness. I will be back to update this review.
Thanks for reading. Hope it helped.

it works really well. there are three speeds. The speed between 2 and 3, however, is very different (seems like there is a missing speed 3.5)
Love the fact that it's made in Sweden, a U.S. ally, NOT from China (a nation whose nuclear missiles are pointed to the U.S. to destroy us, which I do not know why people from this nation buys items made in China and funds their military industrial complex to build more missiles to destroy us and our allies).
I have it on speed 2 all the time and it suits me well. It is able to clean my entire 2nd floor home unit (kitchen, living room, bathroom, hallway, dining room and two bedrooms)
this is a keeper

Read many reviews and research several brands. Decided to go with the 650E. It is great! I have bad allergies and I am not taking any of my meds. for them now. It is a good feeling not to wake up sneezing and runny nose every morning. Seemed a bit expensive at first, but now I am glad I spent the money. Probably the only con I would have would be the size, but it isn't very heavy and on rollers. Good job, Blueair!!Best Deals for Blueair 650E Digital HEPASilent Air Purifier
A better home air purifier is probably not developed as good as the Blueair. Only complaint is the description on the two main units for sale. Being in immediate need for several air cleaners, had I known there was the digital available, would not have purchased the other units sold by Blueair. That was a several hundred dollar mistake, however, it is the description, not the product.Honest reviews on Blueair 650E Digital HEPASilent Air Purifier

I love this little miracle. I expected it to leave a puddle during use but it makes no mess at all. The rumble from the motor is very soothing. Easy to use. I took away one star because the threading on the various size water bottle caps is very specific & tight so you can't use a common water bottle. The bottle needed is more like a sparkling, mineral water bottle than anything else; I also found my plastic vinegar bottle (from Krasdale) had the correct threading. It doesn't fit my Nalgene or any other of my permanent water bottles. I am a singer and used to some humidity, so this is excellent for travelling. It's easy to pack, I haven't had any need to clean it yet, I haven't had any problems at all. Also the description says there are "Two different sized bottle adapters" when it actually comes with 3.
Very much recommended!
After 1 year of use, still working great. The output stream is adequate for single room (hotel, bedroom). The volume of steam it puts into the air is pretty small, so when you first turn it on, it takes a while (an hour or more) to get enough water into the air to affect the humidity.

Great product so far (after first two days).
Seems to be a follow on design of the older SU-1051 (similar to the old Air Swiss design), which fixes the main problems of the SU-1051 (and Air Swiss) design. It comes with 3 different sized bottle adapters, no annoying light, no leakage of which to speak. Outputs a small, but steady stream of mist, which seems adequate for a normal sized room (hotel, bedroom).

This humidifier does not work. The first day I tried it out, after a few minutes, the steam stopped emitting from the nozzle unless I touched or shook the unit. I tried the trouble shooting suggestion in the instructions and washed the nozzle, but it still didn't work. I give up on personal humidifiers. This think leaked everywhere from day one. I really tried to make it work. I fiddled with it and got it to at least stop leaking and it misted maybe 10 minutes. It just sat there with the water bubbling but nothing coming out, like it needed a fan or something. Then all of a sudden, the water started flowing from the bottle without stopping and soaked everything again. Dried everything out and tried again. No improvement. Seriously? How could a manufacturer sell a product this poor they have to know it doesn't work! Its not like it worked for awhile and stopped. We used this one night while staying in a cabin at the beach. The next night, it would create the mist, but the fan that blows it out stopped working. I tried completely drying it out, checking again, but no... the fan motor doesn't work. And of course I'm outside of the return window since this isn't something we use every day. Whether it's junky quality control or junky components, it still equals junk. Don't waste your money.Monday, July 14, 2014

Overall, this is a great humidifier.
SIZE: The tower shape of the unit makes it perfect for environments where there is more wall space to consume than floor space. It's fairly large: as a point of reference, it rises a little higher than the arms of my living room sofas and it's rectangular shape is about the size of a magazine, plus about 1.5" on each side for the two tanks.
CONTROLS: The digital controls makes it pretty easy to operate. It's a simple, two-button interface with an easy-to-read display. The automatic humidistat can be set from 25-65% (at 10% intervals). The current and desired humidity level are shown side-by-side on the display using indicator bars. When set a desired humidity level, the automatic humidistat will run the unit until the current humidity reading is 10% higher than your preference, then turn it off until the current reading drops to 10% lower than your preference. This is a pretty nice feature it saves power and conserves water so you don't have to refill the reservoirs as frequently. You can also choose to run the unit continuously by not setting a preferred humidity level.
FAN NOISE: There are four fan speeds. The first three speeds are all very quiet and wouldn't be disruptive (or even noticeable) in most settings. The fourth and highest setting is more noticeable, sounding something like a microwave oven but slightly softer and quieter. It might be enough to make you turn up the TV a little while watching the news, but really no worse than that.
DISPLAY: The display also has a green power indicator and a red indicator to let you know when both reservoirs are empty (the unit will stop when this is the case until at least one reservoir is refilled). I did find it kind of odd that the product uses LED bars to display the humidity levels and two-digit numeric readout for the fan speed (even though the highest speed setting is only 4). It almost seems to me that these should be reversed, but that doesn't really reduce the effectiveness of the unit and the interface is still pretty easy to read and use as designed.
SETUP & USE: The unit is fairly easy to setup and maintain. The two wick units and the plastic grill covers that enclose them can be a little cumbersome when snapping them in and out of place. This is not a particularly big problem, since the wick units only need to be replaced at the beginning of each season to avoid mineral buildup.
The two reservoirs, on the other hand, are very easy to remove and replace while the unit is operating. Each is the full height of the unit and about 2 inches thick with a simple click-latch fixing them snugly to the unit's sides. Despite their large and odd shape, they're surprisingly easy to fill even at a small bathroom sink. They each can hold a little more than their rated 1.5 gallons when topped off and the fill-caps hold this amount without leaking. The instructions say that the water level in these tanks is "easily visible" from the sides. The water level can be seen from the sides, but I wouldn't describe it as "easily"; the dark tint makes it pretty difficult to see from any distance. I often have to gently rock the unit a little to find the surface of the water move before I can judge.
When this unit is running continuously at full speed, it can run through both reservoirs twice in a single day (that two times each, or 6 gallons total). Unless your environment is *extremely* dry, I think that's about the max. With more practical and conservative settings, they only need to be filled every 2-4 days, which is a much more relaxed refill schedule to keep.
The unit does work well even for larger, dryer spaces. You'll be able to notice an immediate difference in the air near the humidifier as soon as you start it, and the effect radius grows pretty quickly especially on the highest speed setting.
SUMMARY: All in all, this is a nice multi-room humidifier that looks good, fits easily, works well and is easy to operate with a nice feature set for it's price range.
I received a new humidifier within a week. Put it together and it works perfectly. You can set the percentage of humidity you would like and the humidifier shuts on and off to keep the humdity at the selected level. I like the fans 4 speeds. Setting number 1& 2 are very quiet, although 3 and 4 are not bad. The humidifier covers 1300 sq feet which is perfect for my entire downstairs. There are two water tanks, I fill them every other day, but the humidifier shuts off and a red light appears when it is out of water.
First off, the build quality is terrible. The quality of the plastic is sub-par. It's brittle, terribly molded and roughly finished. One side of the unit didn't even have the plastic punched out for the latches that hold the filter cover in place. The latches that hold the water tanks in place are imprecise and difficult to operate, leading to difficultly latching and unlatching the tanks. I could see this as an obvious point of failure with repeated use.
Forgiving this, the unit works well to quickly humidify a decent sized room. The fan is quiet and effective at lower settings (1, 2). It gets louder at 3-4 but isn't too loud. The humidity settings are reasonably accurate, tested against a calibrated hygrometer. Two full tanks will keep our large bedroom at ~50% humidity during cold, dry furnace-heated days for around 36 hours.
The tanks might have kept us humidified longer if the unit didn't randomly overflow and leak water all over the floor. I would guess that whatever mechanism is in place to prevent the gravity-fed reservoir from overflowing just isn't built to high enough tolerances to prevent this problem. We tried placing the unit on a baking sheet to contain any small leaks, but even that overflowed.
We will be looking for a different unit once the return process is complete.
The design makes it very easy to find a place that is out of the way. The high(4) fan speed is noisy, but the 3 speeds below that are quiet. I set the humidity to one below the max with fan speed at 3 and it goes through one tank every 4-5 hours. I also use a Protec cartridge placed in the base of the reservoir and have had no problems with mildew so far. This one is a keeper.
The water bottles side load vertically, and if you don't seat the bottle correctly on the small feed socket, you're going to get a 10" inch puddle. This is managed by learning how to 'quick' set the bottle into the unit. With a little practice one can get the hang of it. Still, I'd recommend you put down a water pan under the unit. I use a boot tray for winter boots.
After about 30 hours, one of the units had a fan failure. The second unit has had a problem with the control panel the switches stopped working. I was able to get it to run on full speed. I returned the first unit to the store within the grace period for a refund, but got stuck with the second unit.

The first Humidifier I received, did not work properly. I called the "800" listed on the insert if you encountered a problem. Actually a live person answered. Having used an ultrasonic humidifier for the past couple of years (before it gave up completely), we wanted to try a different style humidifier. This one seemed to fit the bill.First off, the build quality is terrible. The quality of the plastic is sub-par. It's brittle, terribly molded and roughly finished. I purchased (2) of these units from the local Menard's store. I really liked the narrow footprint and quiet operation mode. Reviews of MD1-1002 Vornado Humidifier Wick Filter (2 Pack)
I have used these filters for 6 years and have never had a problem. In the winter in Oregon I keep the unit running 24 hours a day for about 5 months. I replace the filters every 2 months or so as they do harden with the water deposits.
**********************
These filters are not genuine Vornado filters, the box says RPS Products/BestAir, but these filters seem to be spongier and more absorbent than the genuine Vornado filters I purchased a couple years ago. I used this BestAir-brand filter last winter also and one set lasted 3 months before it lost it's wicking ability. It's a perfect fit (you get 2 filters in a box, one for each side of the humidifier).

UPDATE: November 4, 2012 just received another set of these filters again, not a genuine Vornado filter which is fine with me it's also the BestAir-brand I have received for the past 2 or 3 winters and they are fine. Also, I notice NO stinky sweat odor like another reviewer complained about. I have no idea what's up with that!**********************

I bought 2 each of the original Vornado MD1-0002 and replacement versions by Peerless Aire, thinking to compare how well they worked and how long they lasted. All four filters were, however, identical in every respect, including the bar code on the wrapper. Barring an error on the shipping department, they are identical and you should save your money on the original and purchase these aftermarket ones.Honest reviews on MD1-1002 Vornado Humidifier Wick Filter (2 Pack)

This co-sleeper is everything that they promise. Our son slept in this until he was 14 months old. "Mini" is kind of an overstatement. It is very generously sized and easy to put up.
The sheets are well made and easy to change. They aren't Eqyptian cotton by any means, but, fit the bed and do the trick. The sheets fit perfectly (and snugly) around the mattress and then velcro to the mattress itself, so it is extremely safe. The matress and sheet combo then attach securely (with velcro) to the bed. It does not lay flat though it has a slight curve to it but the baby has never noticed.
The ONLY downside to this mattress/sheet arrangement is that the mattress is not waterproof. You MUST have a waterproof pad underneath the sheet as the mattress is also not washable. Trust me, get a crib sized waterproof pad and cut it to fit. One the size of a pack-n-play mattress should do it.
Overall, this product deserves RAVE reviews it is just perfect!
Overall an excellent constructed piece, secure feeling, smart design, good storage area, probably if there is one complaint would be the mattress is a bit on the thin side. You can fix that with some extra thick blankets or sheets to wrap around it for more comfort.

The mini co-sleeper was one of the first products that we purchased for our child. This sleeper has been an invaluable product that keeps the baby within arms reach at all times. The co-sleeper is easy to move from room to room and breaks down and sets up with ease. Great for those who travel with infants and the additional storage area maintained within the system saves time and energy when in need of quick supplies. A must have first purchase for new parents.Best Deals for Mini Co-Sleeper
I love my co-sleeper. It is nice having my baby next to me without the worry of rolling over on her. easy to put together tooHonest reviews on Mini Co-Sleeper
Yes, you read it correctly, this co-sleeper, doesn't require assembly. Shocked to receive the box and it says no assembly, couldn't believe my eyes. The setup took less than 5 minutes to do, yes it was just that easy, didn't even need to open the manual, awesome. The actual crib / bassinet is big enough for up to 6 month baby, wish it was a bit wider, then it'll last even longer. The packing is very smart, I was able to pack it up and take it with me on a trip without a fuss, and the baby can sleep comfortably just like she is home. You don't really need to use the extra leg or wheels, some shorter beds will work better without it, and if you have a tall bed, then use the wheel and legs to make the co-sleeper taller to fit.Overall an excellent constructed piece, secure feeling, smart design, good storage area, probably if there is one complaint would be the mattress is a bit on the thin side. When my husband and I found out I was pregnant his only request was that we get a portable cosleeper bassinet that attached to the bed and could fold up for travel. We searched and searched and this is the one we agreed on. It is easy to put up and easy to take down. The mattress is not as hard as some of the reviews have said, but, It's a bassinet mattress, it's not supposed to be squishy....squishy mattresses lead to suffocation. I am now patiently waiting for my son to arrive so we can utilize this.
