We've been very happy with this humidifier. The cool mist is very fine, so it feels more "misty" and less "damp" or "rainy" than some other humidifiers we've tried. The controls over how much or little mist it produces are effective, and it's very quiet. Although this product is a little more expensive than some other types of humidifiers, it's worth it. I know several people whose babies have been burned by warm mist humdifiers, and they also tend to breed bacteria, neither of which is a concern with this product. Also although we originally bought a cheaper humidifier, it turned out not to be as inexpensive as we first thought because we kept having to replace the wick and it quickly broke. This humidifier doesn't have "hidden costs" and is sturdy and well made.

Also if you take off the lid and watch what it does to produce the mist, it's really cool (not a reason to buy the product in itself, but interesting ....)

Our son gets asthma and croup from colds, so having a good humidifier was essential to keep his airway open. This was our third and final humidifier. After wasting our money on cheapo humidifiers that stopped working after a couple months, and that were awkward to fill and transport without spilling and to assemble correctly to get going, this humidifer worked like a charm. Sometimes there is a slight medicinal smell in the room in the morning, but it's not overwhelming, or that different from any other humidifier. We have had this humidifier for two years now and with proper maintenance it still runs like the day we bought it.

We tried 3 humidifiers for our baby, and this was the best. It's quiet, and the tank is big. You can get two night's use out of a single filling. I also like being able to control the amount and direction of the water vapor. The only downside is having to clean the tank and base on a regular basis (a small price to pay when your baby has cold).

As devotees of ultrasonic humidifiers, we snapped up 3 of these units to compete with the forced-air heat. There is a lot to like: large capacity tank, very quiet, fine mist. Unfortunately, I think there is some type of engineering problem with either the ultrasonic transducer or the water-level sensing circuit. We have sent two back for replacement, because they simply quit working -regardless of the cleaning and demineralizing routine. One replacement failed after two uses. One of the remaining three is now becoming erratic, and the ultrasonic transducer is delaminating. The water demineralizing cartridges are a great idea, and work pretty well, but be aware that they don't prevent all of the mineral dust. Still, use them.

So in short, these units are a great idea, but they need some better ruggedizing. My Holmes ultrasonic is 10 years old and still runs fine. You're lucky to get 10 months from these.

Like some of the other people reviewing this item, ours developed a bad odor after a month of use. I have cleaned the thing thoroughly according to the instructions, but it still smells bad. I cannot find the replacement filter anywhere. It's very good at producing mist, but the room gets saturated with the odor. It's the last time I'll buy a Vicks product.

This is a great humidor, I've visited many cigar shops and priced a dozen or so and this came out to be the most inexpensive by far. I use this as a travel humidor, its still light even with all of my cigars packed into it. I don't think it gets 300 cigars in there unless your packing them tight. So far I got probably 150 and running out of room. I take this to events and socials so we can get nice cigars already at that perfect humidity point. The front bottom drawers actually slide out, good place to keep cutters and punches along with torches ready for that smoke.

If you are using a Honeywell humidifier or any humidifier that uses a paper filter, you NEED to get these! I was even using filtered water for my humidifiers and, STILL, the filters were turning YELLOW in less than a month. I purchased the Protec Antimicrobial cartridges, and all growth has come to a STOP! For details, including photos of the internal workings of this evaporative humidifier, look for the 2055 AirOSwiss reviews done elsewhere on Amazon which has plenty of images of the inner workings. To summarize, it's an evaporative humidifier which works by drawing air in through the top via a fan then over a disk pack of about 10 slowly rotating plastic disks which dip into a pool of water, then the air exits the side carrying the humidified air.

Pros: No heated element to worry about overheating when it runs dry, no ultrasonic misting to leave water droplets on carpet/furniture, easy to clean, no filters to be replaced, and it traps air particles on the discs with the water so it does 'wash' the air.

Cons: Evaporative which means it cools (fine for the desert country, not so good in winter in the Midwest), no heating, and the fill valve on the water tank is the stupidest location you can imagine, so that at best you can fill it only 3/4 full.

The other con: They SAY on their website they have a 10 year warranty, yet when I got this thing from Bed Bath and Beyond the plastic shaft inside had corroded from time and was crumbling. It was a major effort to get these guys to agree to replace it. It is NOT SAID on their warranty, but apparently the 10 year warranty does not apply to the rotating disc set (surprise!). I told them they had better put that in writing if they don't want to tick off a lot more customers other than me. They eventually replaced it. Also note, the 10 year warranty does NOT apply to the water tank and its part . . .that's only 3 months.

For $260 bucks or more, the above limitations cut it to a 3 star, even though it's a reliable humidifier that cranks out the humidity from the unit with no filters and very little maintenance. As a personal aside, I can't stand the reviews which deride humidifiers because their hygrometers show no change. Humidifiers can only be evaluated by how quickly they put water into the air . . . the ultimate humidity change is depending on the room's air flow, items of absorbency, and atmospheric conditionsnone of which are in the control of a humidifier!

If you are in the market for a humidifier and are willing to pay a premium price the AOS 2055A merits serious consideration. If you are primarily interested in air purification you should look elsewhere; while air washers do remove a small percentage of large particles from the air (the rotating disk sweep some particles out of the air) they don't have the flow rate needed to compete with a good HEPA filter and they don't remove the full range of particle sizes a HEPA filter will. Additionally, a good HEPA filter will capture 80-99+% of the particles that enter the system (depending on the quality of the device) whereas there is no guarantee that a particle entering an air washer will make contact with one of the rotating disks. The primary benefits of the rotating disk design don't come from air purification but rather from the increased surface area available for evaporation that permits a smaller and quieter fan to be used in their design. Also, the action of the rotating disks helps prevent the water in the basin from becoming a stagnant breeding ground for mold, bacteria, etc.

Air-O-Swiss has a tendency to slightly inflate the statistics for this product. The box claims that it operates on 20 W of power whereas the documentation admits that it actually needs 29 W on the highest setting. The noise level is stated as being below 25 dB; this may be true of the lower setting which is indeed very quiet, but the higher setting is well above this level although it is still quiet compared to most evaporative humidifiers. The water output is claimed to be up to 3 gallons but 2 to 2.5 gallons of output in a fairly dry room (RH of ~35) seems closer to the truth. Finally, the capacity of the storage tank is effectively only about 1.1 gallons because it is virtually impossible to fill completely. The actual performance statistics compare quite favorably with other humidifier designs so I don't see why the manufacturer feels the need to exaggerate.

The system is well designed, very quiet, easily cleaned, and provides a decent amount of humidification (of course, if you want to humidify a large home you should expect to need several of these units). This is the only humidifier I have owned that didn't occasionally leak. The primary deficiency is that it lacks a built-in hygrometer so it will only shut off when it runs dry. In practice, however, hygrometers are often very inaccurate so many products that include them are still not reliable enough to operate in an automated mode. It would have been nice if the unit had 3 speeds and a larger storage tank, but these are minor quibbles. This product sells for a premium price but it is a solid performer and is worth the cost.

Purchased this about 5 years ago (or similar model with rotating discs and digital humidity reading) for about $350. As far as I can tell, this is the best humidifier on the market. Tried a few other models including heating element, ultrasonic. wick, and this is by far the best. Have run it almost non-stop in the winter for a number of winters, and also ran it a little bit in the summer if my room gets too dry with the air conditioners in a former apt that had underpowered AC. It has kept my room at about 40 percent year round. Like any other humidifier you can't have any drafts coming in from outside or a window open in the winter or it won't help you much.

It has had NO problems over the last 5 or so years. It is also very energy efficient and quiet and looks nice. The ultrasonic humidifier created too much white dust for me, and the mist could damage furniture. A wick humidifier caused some water damage on a floor after it cracked open.

You do have to clean the water out periodically by pouring it out and gently cleaning the base, and once every month or few months or so in the winter take all the discs out and wash them with something like ecover dish washing detergent and a sponge. I keep an upright piano in tune almost completely year round. I would recommend a second separate humidistat if you are tightly controlling the humidity in your home for a piano, or other such application. For just comfort, the built in humidistat is fine, though you have to increase the setting to a higher humidity setting in the winter to keep the same room humidity, and lower the setting or turn it off towards the spring/fall and summer.

Not a bad unit, but small water tank. In my house I use two on the first floor, and I need to fill them each three times a day. As for "cleaning the air", I think that is definitely overblown. The ONLY thing I find in the base of the unit, which needs to be addressed not monthly as they state but weekly, is the calcium build up. No dirt in there, only crusted deposit from the water going through there.

My husband has severe allergies. He has used this brand and model of air cleaner for a long time. It helps keep the air in our bedroom in good shape and his allergies bother him less with it running. We even take it with us when we visit our families.

He does have to clean it regularly to keep the scum and/or mold down. This would be true of any appliance of this type. Just be aware of that before you buy.

This works perfectly as an aid for air quality in my office. The Menthol Eucalyptus extract is also a great addition to the product and really kicks it up a notch. I would recommend this to anyone who has dry working conditions as well as a small bedroom. I'd say a full tank of water lasts 5-6 hours. I've tested this unit 4 times in 2 different locations with a calibrated hygrometer and have the following information to pass along. Overall, it is easy to use and maintain. The water tank is simple to fill with either distilled or bottled purified water. To avoid possible problems, never carry the unit from place to place while the water tank is filled. Jostling a filled humidifier increases the chances of water getting into the fan workings and that can cause problems. Locate the base unit where you want it. Fill the water tank and screw the cap on. Carry the filled tank upside down to the base unit. Place the tank on the unit and it is ready to go. This little unit produces a nice stream of cool mist that can be directed by turning the dial rather than having to turn the unit. The unit will run for 4-5 hours with a full tank of water. So, for overnight or longer than 4-5 hour use, this unit is not sufficient. In testing the Vapor-Eze in a variety of situations, I found that it performs best as a personal space humidifier. It will raise the humidity about 5 degrees in a severely dry environment and will raise the humidity about 10 degrees in a moderately dry environment. I use the Vapor-Eze on my desk and it does a beautiful job of raising the humidity level of my personal space. Highly recommend this unit for short-term, personal space use.

Then it began this awful clicking noise that would wake us up at night instead of simply turning off. I have only had the Vapor-Eze 2760 for about three night now and it works very good. I found that I can get it to run for eight hours if I fill the container totally full and then add some water to the base of the humidifier. It just has a switch to turn it on, no adjustment for the mist and this is OK. It is a personal humidifier. It works very well for one person. The eucalyptus med. that comes with the humidifier works good, if you are breathing the mist from the humidifier. You can't smell it otherwise. And it does help my sinus. I ended up putting black electrical tape over the led. For me this is better, I don't need a night light that changes color.

Well, if you have a humidifier that requires this size filter, then you have no other options really. These filters can last for about 5 months if you have extremely low mineral content water. In Tucson, AZ where the water is very hard we only get about 2.5 months out of one of these.

The entire concept seems like a scam. You plug this thing into the wall and it pumps out soothing, moisture-filled air that allows a congested person to rest easier. I laughed when I first read about them. But once again, my inner cynic was forced to admit error. These things help my children sleep when they have a cold. I finally broke down and bought a drying rack since I was tired of using doorknobs, doors, and chairs to dry my clothes. I did a fair amount of research and ultimately settled on the Badoogi BDE-V12. After using it several times, I'm ready to declare that I'm very happy with my purchase.

I was first drawn to this product since it was medal, not wood. I had used an accordion style wood rack in the past and it was very poor (i.e., wobbly, not a lot of space). I find this product to be very secure and sturdy. The assembly was very quick and painless. I also loved the price.

Another great feature is the adaptability of this model. Because all four racks have the option of folding down, you can use 1-4 racks at any given time. This is a nice feature if you want to use it for a couple of sweaters or for an entire week's worth of laundry. The wheels make transporting the rack easy, too. It's easy, fold down design makes storage very nice.

I can't think of any cons at this point. Great product.

Highly customizable and very well designed. It fits well in almost every place of my apartment (bathroom, kitchen,...) I like it very much and recommend it.

Some measures that you may find useful:

The lower level has a height of ~14 inch from the ground, so I would say that you have 12 inch height of useful space.

The upper level is separated from the lower ~16 inch, so I would say that you have 15 inch height of useful space (considering that you are using both levels).

If you do not use the lower level, you can fold it and use only the upper level, what would give you ~27 inch height of useful space.

As you can see in the image, you have in the total sixteen spaces, each one measuting 20.5 inch where you can hang your clothes. (8 per level, being 4 in each side).

I have being using this for some weeks now on a daily basis. Easy to put together. I just fold one side down and use the front racks. No need of hangers. I wish it was little taller but work just fine. I move it from 1 room to another with wet clothes diapers on it. It doesn't tip over when I use one side of the rack. I use the other side racks when folded down too. Great drying rack. It is great to dry wipes, dish towels, unpaper towels, dishcloths, rags, diapers... in brief small to medium length clothes. For longer items, just fold down the bottom racks and use the top ones. There is a fair amount of space among the racks up and down and between.

I really like this drying rack and find it to be quite useful and usable! The shortcoming, from my perspective, is exactly that -way too short. I don't know why the manufacturer couldn't have added an extra length of piping to raise the drying racks another foot/foot and a half! So, I like it but it could be far better designed. I do like the rolling base and the fact that it folds up easily. I've not tried to dry a lot of heavy stuff on it, however.

Works great just as I expected from an OEM filter. Much better than those 1" thick cheapo filters. Of course, this filter requires the correct equipment otherwise it wouldn't fit.
