GeneralAire Humidifier Filter (Evaporator Pad) 2-Pack Review
These are exactly what I was looking for. It was kinda a pain in the butt to put in, but that had more to do with my installation than the filters I ordered...

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I got this for our downstairs hoping it will help prevent odor from our two dogs and two cats. I've had it for a few weeks and so far so good. It is around two feet high and the sleek silver design helps. It has three fan settings and we use it in a large family room. I have used it in the kitchen when cooking salmon to get rid of the smell that otherwise seems to linger forwever and it did a great job of removing any smell.
I have concerns over the life of the filters as the replacement filters cost around $30 and there is no indication of need to replace other than a visual check of the color of the filter in use.
Not happy about the expensive replacement filter costs or over $125 price tag but it does a good job of removing odors and keeping the air clean in a heavy traffic area with lots of guests, some of whom have allergies.
Like other air purifiers I own, this model uses two filter types that stick to each other. So the dust/pollen/odors first get caught in a charcoal filter and then a hepa filter.
My old Honeywell and Holmes models have a bigger footprint than this upright B&D but they also catch more dust. These other models are square shaped versus this upright rectangle. I have no idea why they work better. If the filter is better or the suction. I just know that the charcoal filter on the other models is dirtier after the same amount of time.
The light is too bright. I put tape over it. The sound is fine by me. I like white noise.
Here is the rub for me. My bedroom is small. I have my door shut and I ran the filter for a week and cleaned the room good before I started. I can still see what I think is too much dust flying around in my flashlight beam which is how I test.
Taking it out of the box to the floor requires the removal of the styrofoam shipping protection and the plastic covering (there's a teeny bit of irony in the fact that the "odor remover has an odor" It's just the smell of new plastic and seriously a non-issue but fun to mention for the sake of being able to use the word "Irony" correctly).
The directions show an extra liner of plastic on the filter but there was none on my filter. The directions also draw the Pre/Charcoal filter as being about 1/3 as thick as the Hepa Filter and they write about it in what I think is a misleading way(page E-5 in the manual). This "Pre-/Charcoal Filter" as they call it is simply a thin, very thin, layer of foamy like substance (I'll take their word for it about the Charcoal) that uses a velcro-like strip at the top to attach to the HEPA. Then they number the filters like this:
1. Pre-Filter combined with
2. Charcoal Filter
3. Hepa Filter
So I was looking for a 3rd item. You can stop looking. It's that thin foamy thing that they're "wordsmithing' to sound more important that it looks. And believe me, it doesn't look like much.
The controls are manual, with a Lo, Med, and Hi ability that when turned, light up the rather LONG green power light. I checked to see if the light was tied to the filter as an alert but it isn't, It's just a power light.
The Pre-/Charcoal filter gets a Vacuuming every month (according to the directions) and the HEPA they suggest to buy a new one when it is Grey or Black and no longer white.
Overall, it's a surprisingly simple but effective machine from Black and Decker that carries a generous 3 year warranty and a fairly high price. It took the bacon smell, left from my ravenous nephew, from the kitchen in about 10 minutes on hight; That was impressive.
For the quality, simple design and the fact that B&D will potentially be making money from the filter "Re-purchase" I thought the price (even the Amazon price) was a bit high. But that's just a consumer opinion based on my personal finances. If you have a room that needs dander and smell gone in a relatively fast and quiet way, this unit could work for you!
I am very glad I did. This performs much, much better than my expectations. I have three big dogs and sometimes my house can smell a little "doggie". They also have access to a doggie door, so they are constantly bringing in dust, dirt and other things from the great outdoors. I plugged this into an outlet in the family room (approximately 12x24) and in less than 24 hours it smelled 100 percent better.
Set up is incredibly easy. All one has to do is open the box and plug it in. It is very light weight, so it would be very easy to move it from room to room if necessary. It makes a little bit of noise, somewhat like a white noise machine set on low. I am very pleased witht his product.
Now I'm a believer!
First, there was no crazy filter insertion instructions or assembly, this air purifier was plug 'n play so to speak. And even looking at the manual on filter cleaning and replacement, it'll be super easy.
I've been using it for about a month now and I have already noticed visibly less dust in the room where it sits. And, for the first Spring in ages, the outdoor irritants haven't pestered me inside as well, to which I credit the Black & Decker HEPAFreshTM Air Cleaner.
So it seems like my mother was right after all (I hope she never reads this or I'll never hear the end of it). Air cleaners are awesome!

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program The Black and Decker Hepa Fresh Air Cleaner shouldn't cause you any "Wow moments" but that can be a good thing in this age of super high tech touch command world. Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program It's not that I haven't been aware of air purifiers, I have. I've even had them recommended to me by others my mother swears by them but I just (incorrectly) assumed they wouldn't offer much more than more paid kilowatts to the electric company in my home so I didn't bother; that is, until I was given the chance to try the Black & Decker HEPAFreshTM Air Cleaner. Now I'm a believer!

Cheap ACR-832 Robitussin Humidifier Wick Filter (2 Pack)
The product has a long life only if you keep it in use. So keep the water reservoir full. If the unit runs out of water and the product drys out then its lifespan dramatically shortens. By shortens, once it dries out it seems to become very susceptible to mold and/or fungus growth. The product is made with a protective coating to prevent this but it must become damaged when the filter dries out.

Although Complete Filtration is a fine company, the filters that I purchased were not. The filters did not have a 'stabilizing' section to keep it upright in the humidifier. This last purchase was an error on my part and I will not purchase them in the future. I was reimbursed in the past when I had problems, but not this time.Best Deals for ACR-832 Robitussin Humidifier Wick Filter (2 Pack)

Reviews of Glodeals Spa Soft Air Mist Humidifier Silent Aroma Diffuser
After I realized that you have to press and hold the button for the mist action to start I was glad I didn't have to send these back to China! They are similar to the ones that Earth Faire used to sell, except that these come with a cup to use for filling so you don't have to carry the diffuser to the sink. Also these have a flower design on the side, which I really didn't want, but it's not too noticeable. The lighting options give you bright/dim for four colors, plus off, so you have 9 choices. Holds a lot so you don't need to refill every time. I hope it lasts a while, I've only used it a few times since I just got it recently. I use my doTERRA essential oils which are Certified Pure, Therapeutic Grade and they smell heavenly!

I rarely write reviews, but since this item didn't have any and we bought it recently as a new-baby humidifier, I thought I'd get the ball rolling with this one. We will use our humidifiers strictly for the baby, and although we've only been using this one for a week, I may update this review for a final verdict. After reading numerous other reviews (I'm aiming to pick up another one soon), I feel slightly more educated about the features that consumers might find more desirable in a humidifier.
What I like:
* It works. I wouldn't normally add this seemingly obvious comment as a plus, but after reading other reviews, it seemed worth mentioning. If it fails in the near future, I will update this comment.
* No filters or wicks necessary. I find this feature highly desirable no added costs.
* Ultrasonic technology makes this unit run silently. And I mean silently! It makes no significant noise. Perhaps with other technologies, the mist volume could be heavier and thus noisier, but the quiet nature of this unit is pleasant. Also, thanks to the ultrasonic tech, the vapor stream is virtually instantaneous when switched on, both on warm or cold. Granted, a minor point, but nice. Which brings me to another pleasant feature....
* Emits both warm or cold mist. And does so effortlessly. One of its 4 face buttons allows a quick and easy switch from warm to cold and back, and as mentioned above, the change is immediate.
* The H4600 has 3 variable spray options. Low spray is perhaps too low, but the option is there if you want it to run all day and night. There is also a dual headed mist nozzle which allows greater choice at aiming the mist, but I don't find this feature particularly useful since the mist spray isn't all that strong to begin with, but it's a nice addition, nonetheless.
* Silver Clean technology claims to fight mold and mildew in the water tank, allowing for healthier vapors and less cleaning. Too soon to judge this feature, but even if it works a little, it'll be helpful and it's better than not having it.
* Easy interface. The front panel has a simple 4 button operation with a lit display. I found this to be a welcome feature. One button is simply On or Off. Another is variable spray volume (low, medium, high) kind of like a fan speed. The third is to switch from cold mist or warm mist. And the last button is for the night light. That blue circle on the face of the unit is the night light. It's fairly bright, but blue, so it's not as bright as it might be otherwise. Since we use this for the baby's room, we like this feature. The lit display shows the volume of spray (in a too elaborate display of LEDs), the chosen hot or cold mist option, and an indicator for low water in the tank. (The humidifier turns off when tank is too empty)
What I don't like:
* It's a bottom filled tank, meaning you need to lift out the tank, unscrew the underside cap to fill it with water. Thankfully, there are little handles on both the top and underside of the tank, but I don't understand why humidifiers don't regularly feature a top filling portal. It would be nice to be able to add water with a pitcher poured in the top rather than removing the entire tank, filling it and replacing it. The tank is fairly generous at 2.4 gallons, but that makes the full tank over 16 lbs. when full. Okay for me, but not the wife. Also, and perhaps more egregious is that the output nozzles on top (where the mist comes out) are rounded and interfere with the tank laying flat on its back when being filled. You cannot lay this tank flat on its back to fill it so it must be held, or at least braced (unless I didn't realize that the output nozzles can be removed?)
* Cost. This is one of the most expensive room humidifiers I've seen. It does have a nice feature set, and so far, operates as advertised, so I think it's worth it, but the price may discourage potential buyers. My wife bought this one because it was expensive. She figured it HAD to be the best one. I'm not sure she was wrong about that.
NOTE: For some reason, the amazon page that displays this item lists the following as one of its features, "Digital display and clock with programmable run features". I believe this was a mistake taken from some other model that isn't being shown, although I've yet to see a humidifier with a digital clock on it. The picture amazon shows is the one we have. Well, I saw no such display or feature. There is no clock or digital display here, let alone programmable features. None that I saw, and I went through the manual. Perhaps this amazon model is one notch higher in this series of humidifiers and explains why it costs $20+ more than ours.
Conclusion: At first, I was disappointed with the design of the bottom-fill tank, and the poor placement of the output mist nozzles that I thought this was a deal breaker and planned on returning it. But then I came onto to Amazon to research and buy another model, and after rooting around the reviews, I realize that this model is actually pretty good. I don't think the tank lasts 120 hours (5 days!), but it lasts fairly long. So, aside from the tank filling procedure, everything else about this humidifier is quite nice. Recommended.
** UPDATE **
The rounded silver-colored output nozzle on the top of the unit can, indeed, be removed while refilling with water. That's helpful. It's still not perfect, as the tank doesn't lay flat on its back for refilling, but it helps. Also, the price of this unit has since gone up from when I wrote my review. We paid somewhere between $160-$180. Unfortunately, I don't recall for certain, but if you're thinking of buying this item, make sure you get the model with "Digital display and clock with programmable run features" as it states in the description. Ours didn't come with that feature, and it's the only thing that explains the price difference from what we paid. I can't say if the extra cost is worth it, but I hope that helps.
** Update II **
It's now January 2013 around 2+ years after purchase. The H4600 Ultrasonic Humidifier is still kicking, rather nicely, thank you. We use it primarily for the winter months. The internal basin of the base needs an occasional cleaning, but otherwise, all is well!
Obviously since it's new I can't comment on cleaning procedures
My only negative feedback is the lights on this thing cannot be turned off. It's in my bedroom and I have the LED lights hitting my wall. Considering they have a night-light button that turns some extra lights on they could have just made that button turn all the lights OFF. I will end up taping a piece of cloth to the front to block the light.

I have an electric PTAC heater/AC unit. It provides amazing heat in the winter and dries the room out like you wouldn't believe making it so I have to wake up in the middle of the night to turn the heater off, or open a window to get moisture in the room. My last humidifier was OK, but it just didn't do enough to combat the heater. I put this on last night for the first time (and last night was snowing weather). The setting was on low, warm mist. Wow I slept so well. I didn't wake up to turn the heater off, I didn't wake up in the middle of the night to drink from my bottle of water (I go through 16-24 ounces a night). I HIGHLY recommend this product for people with dry rooms. The fact that it has a 120 hour refill cycle is awesome! It's also quiet!Obviously since it's new I can't comment on cleaning procedures

Minimal upkeep, as promised, but if you don't buy the additional demineralization cartridge, you may see some white dust on the machine and nearby furniture. Not as totally silent as I'd hoped... The 'glug-glug' sound is fairly intrusive in a quiet room (like a baby nursery). But overall, it's a good product. Only drawback for me is the lack of a hydrostat, so you can't set an maintain a desired humidity level.Honest reviews on pureguardian H4600 144-Hour Ultrasonic Digital Humidifier

The product is not good as advertised. It is good only for smaller rooms definitely not good for 1000sqft etc.
Even we try to put it in smaller rooms which about 300 Sqft and does work as expected but it is good when the door is closed. We can not feel the heat more than 5feet on maximum heat.
Purchased because this model has a humidifer chamber.
I am not sure if the electric bill will be less with using this versus my HVAC unit but will see soon.
I actually purchased 2 for the downstairs: master bedroom with open bath and one for the living room with open kitchen.

I woudl give it 5 stars but the only thing that I don't like much is the size. It is a bit big to fit in the room i wanted. It does however state the dimensions so just make sure you are confortable with the size. It is not heavy but bulky for the application I wanted. It heats quickly and works great. No complaints on performance.
