Looks very cute,Pretty quite and smooth, enough water for overnight! Size is just right,I bought one in Walmart before, and got it returned because it's too loud, and it's more expensive!

I used it for a few days then it was out of order. Later, I found out the return process is so simple and easy. Not satisfied with the product, still very satisfied with the services!

The mist doesn't shoot out as far as I liked. The mist sips around the pink pig face (where it meets the plastic) so the puts like 10% of the mist on the pig itself.

The noise is a lot louder than other humidifiers I've tried in the past. I wouldn't want to sleep with it in my bedroom, but it's somewhat fine during the day.

Overall, it does provide the humidity I need, but I wouldn't buy another when this one blows up.

UPDATE: After 6 months of usage, this product did blow up. Never buying this brand ever again...

It works pretty well. Ship fast and cost-effective. The water volumn might not be as large as other humidifiers but enough for an evening.

This is adorable, but that's the only good thing about it unfortunately. The "on" light is bright red, and it's so bright that my daughter's room was lit up red. We tried putting blue painters tape over the light, and that helped a little. Also, the mist didn't shoot out with enough power to moisturize the air. No matter what setting we had it on, it just fell out of the pig's nose and got everything below it wet. Sadly, we had to send it back. We opted for the pink crane teardrop, and it's working out very well.

Etree Ultrasonic Mist Maker Fogger Water Fountain Pond 12 LED

I purchaed a Ultrasoinic Mist Fogger Water Fountain Pond 12 LED that was advertised as "Ideal for indoor or outdoor fountains". When I received the product there was no product information in the package and appeared to be used. When I took the fogger out of the package to place in my outdoor fountain the powerpack reads: CAUTION Risk of Electric Shock Dry Location Use Only For Indoor Use Only.

This is the emails I received from the buyer when I ask for return information and a refund:

Thanks for your time.

Could you please kindly tell us if the item can work?

If yes,we could issue you $3 refund as compensation,is it fine?

Hope to hear from you soon.

This was after I was ask for pictures of the product. I paid $10.99 plus shipping for the item which is not the point. The vendor did not represent the product correctly in the advertising and I find the offer of $3.00 offensive if I had not wanted a refund for the item I would not have contacted the vendor in the first place.

I would not have have given them one (1) star but it was the only way it allow the review to post.

I purchased this to replace a similar product that came with an indoor fountain I got several years ago. It has three colors of LED lights, blue red, yellow, and it cycles through the colors: red, red/blue, blue, blue/yellow, yellow, yellow/red, repeat. The only difference I can spot between this and the one it replaces is that it generates less mist. It's also a little shorter so the water depth has to be a bit lower.

Between the lights and the mist, it's a cool effect. The mist is sufficient to cover the surface of a small fountain or bowl but doesn't spill over the edge much. The mist is really what makes this kind of gadget, so I'm knocking it down one star for being just a bit skimpy in that department.

I haven't been able to find another of these for less than $20, so at $7, the price is definitely right.

Update: This is no longer available at $7. At $27.57, the currently listed price, this is no longer a good deal. It's even less a good deal because the item has now completely failed. After four months, the yellow and red LED lights stopped working. And yesterday, the ultrasonic mister stopped working. I can no longer recommend this item.

Bought two of these items.

Shipping was fast.

Items arrived in good condition.

Problem is one has already failed in use.

Before I even got a chance to review the item.

China made and poor quality...

Honest reviews on Etree Ultrasonic Mist Maker Fogger Water Fountain Pond 12 LED

This is the second one I've ordered. The first lasted a year, running 24hours a day, and going dry a few times. If it had lasted longer I'd have given it full stars, but a year isn't bad for the price. These are prefect for growing orchids. My orchids do okay with daily misting from a spray bottle, but they don't truly thrive without the humidity of a fogger. If you are growing tropical plants like orchids indoors, I highly recommend this fogger. Just place it in a vase or bowl above or next to your plants. I place mine on the shelf above my orchids with the highest humidity preferences (those that go dry in 3 to 4 days) and on the same shelf as those with moderate humidity requirements (those that go dry in 6-10 days). If it splashes too much for your location you can place it's container in a larger bowl, or place it on a large drip tray or plate. I've even used mine in a tall decorative vase. Less fog reaches the plants when you do that and it is harder to monitor the water level, thus why my old one ran dry a few times, but it does prevent splashing. The lights are lovely at night. They create a soft colorful glow, nothing too bright. The light level would be nice as a nightlight in a child's room.

I purchased two of these foggers and only one worked. I took the broken one apart re-adjusted some parts and cleaned up the rust on the wires inside. it was a quick fix establishing a connection and repositioning some parts to prevent water from getting in. If I had paid more for this I would be highly upset. Both of these should have been assembled correctly, new, and WORKING.

I don't normally write review, but I saw nobody writing it for this product, so I decided to give it a try. I have this machine for 3 days now, day 1, 2, 3 works great with 2 spoons of salt ( spoon came with the product), if no salt added it won't boil. It has great amount of steam even att lowest setting, not really 25 hours running , only 6 hours running even at lowest setting. U will get the machine wet when u refill, no exception, each time have to wipe the unit dry in and out , I live in NYC, so the water I have, I have to clean it every two days with vinger, today it doesnt work, the Manuel says bc its not clean so it won't run. So I cleaned with vinger, but it stil wouldn't work, the machine mechanic parts might have water, it stopped working, I want to see if it drys will it work again, have to wait see if it works tomorrow night, but I don't feel confident about it. I had Vick ( the best selling warm mist) but bc I added baking soda to water, it caused it to leaked, if I don't put baking soda, it get dirty very fast, but now I,m thinking to try vicks 99.99 germ and return this one, I wanted to like but it's design is not waterproof, so not a good choice for me.

I love this product it works great. The tank is the bottom part so fill water to the line where it shows on the tank "water max" wipe off any water on outside of tank from splash when filling put together and good to go. The best thing of all it hardly makes any noise. Only time you will hear it start to make a sound is when water is really low.

This humidifier is terrible. It is really a vaporizer and they should label it as such. It is NOT warm mist, it is HOT STEAM that could burn. I have another high end warm mist humidifier that I love, but decided to try this due to it's compact size (which is about all it has going for it). Every time I use it I have to add salt, which is annoying. Also, when the tank empties there is brown liquid with black sediment in the bottom. I know that problem is not our water as I live in a town with some of the purest water in the world. The first humidifier I got just completely stopped working even after cleaning. I contacted the company and they sent me a new one but didn't tell me I would have to pay exorbitant S&H. I was irritated, especially since I have Prime and the first one cost nothing to ship. The 2nd "humidifier" I was sent does the exact same thing as far as the sediment and now it is not working either. Don't waste your money, especially if you intend to use it in a child's room too much potential to burn your child!

I know this is not even sold on Amazon but I picked up two of them and they both work really well. On high, the water lasts for at least 12 hours, on low closer to 18 hours and if you use filtered water it keeps the white dust to a minimum. If you see these on sale somewhere, don't hesitate.

After researching many humidifiers, I picked this one because of the Air Innovations name and the price. I love it and use it every night. We have central heat and a/c and the cool mist is great for my sinuses. I would recommend it to anyone who needs one. Very easy to use.

Best Deals for Air Innovations Healthy Mist Ultrasonic Humidifier

Received this. Excited. Followed directions to add water and put the thing together. And it leaked water all over furniture and hardwoods on the very first use. Product documentation sketchy and inadequate -only one page. Very annoyed and disappointed. Sending it back to Amazon for refund.

The IDEA of it was perfect -germ free, easy care, fits on tabletop, built in nightlight, directional mist, etc. But ONLY if the unit produces steam instead of leaking water.

If you do try it, be careful!!

Nice simple humidor. I have one for myself that I have had for a few years that I like and bought this one for a friend. Not perfect, the analog humidistat needs occasional calibration (get a calibration pack) and the included humidifier should just get thrown out.

Get a 1/2 lb (I got a full pound) of Heartfelt beads and you are good to go!

Looks really nice for the price.

I've had mine a little over a week now this looks great for something under 3 digits. I did do a distilled water light wipedown of all inside wood and the hygrometer did need adjusted, but after that, this thing has held steady the humidification (along with using the supplied humidor sponge). Only one very minor flaw in the finish, which I just let go considering the price. There are no inlays everything is painted on and then clear coated. Seal is good when shutting. Only knock is the locking mechanism, it's definitely cheap but I don't need that anyway. Nice felt used on the bottom as well. ***UPDATE*** After a month this thing is still rock solid in sealing the humidity in it. It hasn't budged in % and I put 2 digital readers in it to be sure of the number.

Love the humidor. Great value. Would be 5 stars but had to return 2 of them before I got one that didnt have pretty major factory flaws in the finish. But that is one of the great things about buying on Amazon. Amazon took care of it with no issues and I finally have my great humidor.

Honest reviews on Quality Importers Pompeii 100 Cigar Glasstop Humidor, Cherry

This is a beautiful high quality humidor and is very well constructed. I really like the glass top. The analog hygrometer is not very accurate as you would expect. I will need more time to see how well it holds the humidity during the dry winter months, but so far I am very pleased with this purchase and I would recommend this product.

Let me explain what I think about this unit. I have 3500 square feet house in Central Florida and top of the line heat pump Central Air just installed a few years ago. All works perfect except one thing: I have to cool the entire house with it and at 4500 Watts in case of power down my diesel generator at 6500 Watts is just about running it when 1100 Watts refrigerator and lights are on at the same time. Another thing is Central Air conditioner will get you over 250 bucks electric bill during summer and this is when thermostat is set to only 79 degrees Fahrenheit. Now, I ordered this unit thinking it is going to be so-so portable that can subsidize cooling now and then. The unit came in UPS, it is about 84 lbs, has wheels, is very quiet, does wonders drying the air, very nice quality built and components, remote, digital thermostat, can be converted to auto drain with just additional hose if you really must, runs on 1100 Watts, and is pleasant to look at. At 9000 BTU it is very nice gizmo indeed no vibrations, smooth working and very well made. That very same day I received it and run it for entire day, I ordered another one just like it. I hope that explains how good and useful this thing is. Get one if you need one and you will be happy you did. BTW, packaging for shipping was absolutely exemplary this thing would have to be dropped from 2nd floor on concrete to get damaged in all that styrofoam and cartons. I am very happy with this purchase. Remote is also quite handy when you use it in the bedroom at night. Water tank that had to be emptied is actually good thing, because no worries about over flooding the unit, and you can distilled water for ironing or car battery if you ever need that. The conversion adapter for continues water drain is included if you need that. I am somehow puzzled with negative review posted under Alesia, because I went to this individual's "see my other reviews" and there were like a HUNDRED of portable units, all with the SAME REVIEW and all purchased on the SAME DAY. That is very strange indeed. It is either mistake or overdose. Anyway, I think this unit is working well and it is worth the money. I use it already for over a month and it is better then ever.

We received a SPT WA-9000E 9,000-BTU Portable Air Conditioner on 6/11/10. There was an odd odor the first couple of times that we turned it on a plastic smell would be the best way to describe it. After about a week, my husband called (909) 468-5288 and left a message (no one returned the call). Later that day he called (800)330-0388 and spoke with a women who told him that as long as it was blowing cold air there was not a freon leak. She mentioned that the smell may be attributed to the styrofoam packing inside the machine. We just assumed that it smelled odd because it was new. We used it four or five times for maybe 3 hours each time. Well today is 7/6/10 and it hit 100 degrees outside; there is no longer any smell BUT THERE IS NO LONGER ANY COLD AIR BLOWING OUT OF THE MACHINE. I have sent an email to Sunpentown through the Amazon site. I want everything in writing with regard to how to get this 80lb piece of crap back to them. The financial burden should not be mine after having this item for only 25 days. I will update with their response.

Update: July 7, 2010 Customer Service has been very nice. An exchange is in the process . . .

Update: July 13, 2010 Semi-disaster. We received the replacement today but the coolant leaked all over it. I called customer service and was told UPS must have dropped the box. He told me to put it back in the box and UPS would pick it up tomorrow since it was damaged, and ANOTHER replacement would be sent out today. A return label was sent with the replacement in order to exchange the first air conditioner. I was supposed to take that one to UPS myself and use the box from today's delivery, but today's delivery is going back. We just want to be done with it. I called back to request a refund rather than take a chance with AC #3. Fortunately, UPS will pick up AC #1 the same time that they pick up AC #2. I was on the phone with sunpentown several times today and they were nice and patient, but this is such a hassle. At least I found another box big enough to send back AC #1. Free Super Saver shipping was not offered when I purchased this item, so I hope my shipping charges are refunded as well. (I don't have the heart to call back to ask since I have tormented the poor representative enough today.) To be continued . . .

Update: July 14, 2010 UPS did not show up. The short version of the saga: Stayed home to wait for UPS man but found out late in the day (after numerous cranky calls to both Sunpentown and UPS) a "damage inspection" needed to be scheduled, before a pick-up could be scheduled. Sunpentown rectified situation by scheduling a pick-up for Friday (7/16/10) and UPS will inspect the damaged item (AC#2) on their own site. Unfortunately, they cannot pick up AC#1 with AC#2 (different circumstances, hence different trucks and drivers). So I am lugging AC #1 to a UPS site tomorrow. I want these God forsaken machines out of my house!

Update: July 28, 2010 Both machines were returned and received by Sunpentown on July 21, 2010 (verified by UPS tracking #s). I just sent them an email inquiry through this Amazon site about my reimbursement.

Update: July 30, 2010 No response to email; I just sent another.

Update: August 1, 2010 Full refund received.

We purchased this unit to help cool the 3rd floor of our townhouse which has been over 82 when the house AC is set to 77. (Temps have been in the high 90s here in Northern Virginia). The unit is fairly quiet given the size. It has carrying handles on the side that made it easy to lug up our 3 flights of stairs. The unit must be vented to the outside to release the heat. The hose was of moderate length and the adapter piece for the window was adequate. We had to cut it to fit our window. We also had to make a trip to Home Depot to purchase insulating foam and tape to help hold it in place and plug the air leaks. We have the unit in a small bedroom and it blows cool air into the hallway, a distance of about 7 feet. As far as water accumulating in the unit, we haven't had much. In our house it's about half full after running it for an entire day. This may change when the humidity comes back. I am very happy we purchased this unit. We have been running it for 5 days and so far I would recommend it.

Honest reviews on SPT Portable Air Conditioner, 9000 BTUs, WA-9000E

I received this product via UPS heavy load. I set this thing up, in hopes, of a portable A/C for our kitchen...not good. One, it is way to big and bulky for any room. Two, the exhaust hose, that you are required to use, cannot be flexed in any way. In other words, the unit has to be at least 4-5 ft away from a window and sit in the middle of a room. The window attachment could not be set up in our wndow, if used, I had to hacksaw it to make it fit. I decided that it would not work for me. I then had to pay UPS to send it back, to the tune of 150.00! So, this is a product that cost more than 1/2 its price to return...so you better be sure its right for you..

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for SPT Portable Air Conditioner, 9000 BTUs, WA-9000E

The unit does not cool as much as I expected. A 5,000 BTU window unit did much better and much quicker. It is the ducting kit that keeps it from cooling very well. That hose puts off a tremendous amount of heat. I saw one persons review and they had to actaully try and keep the duct hose cool?! I know it should get warm, but this one gets hot!

The ducting kit for this is flimsy and does not install very well. Mine actually has a problem with one end of the ducting kit. So I contacted them via e mail on their website, three times, not once did I hear back from them, not once. How does a company literally just ignore customer requests?! I was not asking for a new unit, i was asking for help with the ducting kit or at the very least a new ducting kit. Nothing, no response from them.

I would not buy anything from that company again, ever.

I had this faucet professionally installed by an experienced contractor that I have used for years on other projects. On several repeat visits he tried to get the tube to seat down in the body but it never would stay. I've stood on my countertop and pushed it with all my weight, but the gaskets just roll up and out of their grooves, preventing a good seat. Hence it wobbles and it leaks badly when turned on. And the gaskets need replacing now. I replaced a perfectly functional faucet for the sake of good looks in my new kitchen. Maybe I'm just unlucky, but I think this is a fancy piece of junk.

We liked the (apparent) design of the faucet and ordered one with what was supposedly a "satin nickel" finish.

Yuck! What arrived (in a box labeled Satin Nickel so I have no reason to believe they shipped the wrong one) was the color of dull aluminum. It looked like a cheap finish & did not match other items (Satin Nickel and stainless steel) in our kitchen.

Return was painless.

This is a great faucet that works well. It is heavy in weight and appears to be more durable than most. It has a nice clean look with out the plastic handle as most models have. This is for cold drinking water and doesn't have the parts for RO or other water systems. I would be nice if it came in other styles for accomidating decor not just finnishes.

I had very good service on my order. I am disappointed that the faucet has a slow leak. The plumber who installed it said that is the fault of the design.

Buy Holmes HM5305-UC Warm Mist Humidifier

Holmes HM5305-UC Warm Mist Humidifier
Customer Ratings: 3 stars

I believe this item has received unfairly low ratings from other purchasers. Perhaps these reviews are from purchasers who have never owned a humidifier before, or who didn't bother to read the directions. I have owned three different humidifiers over the years, and this one has been overall the best.

I would agree the tank shape could stand some redesign. Like most humidifiers, you turn the tank upside down to refill, thus the top of the tank is best designed to conform to the shape of a tub or sink, so that it stays upright on its own while filling. This one does not do that, but it is still possible to prop it against the end of the tub to refill.

As for the other comments that have been made, of course it makes a gurgling noise. Water is dripping down into the base in order to be converted to steam. I have had the unfortunate experience of owning a humidifier that sounded like an 18-wheeler driving through my house--and believe me, this one is QUIET.

The only knocking noises I've heard were when the tank emptied while I was asleep and I didn't shut it off, AND I hadn't cleaned it in a very long time.

And of course the heating element is going to be hot right after you turn it off, and yes it could char a piece of wood if it came in contact with the heating element. The instructions CLEARLY STATE you must allow the heating element to cool before cleaning or refilling. I cannot imagine why someone would set something wet down on a wood table, or how the heating element came into contact with wood of one reviewer, as the heating element has a surrounding plastic framework that makes it difficult if not impossible to place anything directly against the heating element. Perhaps the user modified this plastic housing in some way.

Also, the tank cap has a mechanism that, together with the humidifier base, controls the amount of water that flows out of the tank. The only way this could malfunction and send water everywhere is if the cap was not screwed on properly (and just like a bottle of soda, if you don't screw the cap on properly, the bottle will leak), or if it is not placed on the base securely.

I have not found the recommended cleaning to be an issue. But then, I use the recommendations as a guideline, not a requirement. How much you cleaning you have to do depends on the condition of your water and your performance expectations.

The recommended "daily" cleaning is basically to remove the base reservoir and dump out any water and accumulated sediment. I actually only do this about once a week, and I have very hard water (lots of clay sediment and calcium. I cannot drink tap water, its that bad.) The recommended "weekly" cleaning is to fill the base reservoir with vinegar and soak for 20 mins, and wipe down the heating element and surrounding housing to remove any calcium deposits. I actually only do this about every 3 months. Sometimes I actually have to chisel off the calcium from the heating element! And with all this obviously poor maintenance, I have noticed no diminished performance!

I'm not sure what the 'reboot' requirement is, stated by one reviewer. The instructions clearly state that you should turn off the humidifier when you remove the tank for refilling, or when you are cleaning. This makes sense. Leaving it on without the heating element resting in a reservoir of water is like putting an empty pan on a hot stove burner. It will damage it. But turning it off for the few moments required for filling or cleaning is sufficient. No further effort is required. And I really don't understand how one is personally offended by an inanimate object.

As for the size of tank, and how long it lasts, that all depends on the settings you use, and the size of your room. The 36-hour timeframe advertised by the manufacturer is at the unit's lowest setting, as most manufacturers do. I keep mine set on low speed, with the humidity percentage at about 60%. This lasts 24 hrs. I definitely notice a humid feeling when walking into my bedroom where I keep the humidifer. My bedroom measures about 12' x 18', but I keep my bedroom door open always so the humidity isn't just staying in my bedroom alone. The packaging states accurately that this humidifier is intended to serve a medium-sized room, not a whole house or very large rooms.

I really love the fact that this model does not require filters. I've had humidifiers that require filters, and of course you can never find the filter when you need one, and they are often very expensive. I've also had a humidifier that advertised no filter required, then upon reading the fine print inside the box, learned that while a humidifier was not REQUIRED, it really needed one to function properly.

I replaced my last humidifier with this one because the lat model I owned had no controls other than on/off, and pumped out so much mist it soaked everything around it, and was a cold mist model that did not keep the calcium deposits inside the reservoir--everything that got soaked by the mist ended up with calcium residue on it that was impossible to remove.

All in all, a very good model. The only thing I would like better is a domed-top model that could rest easily in the tub for refilling.

This product has gotten a LOT of negative reviews. I'm not sure why.

We bought this humidifier from a local store...the ONLY humidifier we could find in town. We needed a humidifier for our newborn, since he was getting some dry sinuses (poor little man!)

The model had obviously been returned, as it was repacked terribly and had no manual. No worry, though; the design is so simple that I figured out how to get water into it and get it working in about 3.5 minutes, even without the manual. It did drip a bit of water as I went to fill it, but is that REALLY a big deal? Maybe for some folks; not for us.

Anyway, as to the comment about "dead lifting" a gallon of water...a gallon of water weighs 8 pounds, which, let's be honest, isn't that much. I had to cringe when I read the "injured vet" comment; agreed, filling this tank would be very hard with one arm, but I imagine that a one armed person would buy a different model (say, one of the 30 others that Amazon offers). Could Holmes have made it better by making it top filling? Possibly, but in all honesty, this design works just fine.

Is it noisy? That depends on what you mean by "noisy". Let's attack the question a different way: is it silent? No, it's not. It makes (what my wife and I find to be) a nice gurgling sound, very similar to the humidifiers my mom used to use when I was little. However, I sleep better with a small amount of white noise, so those of you who are very light sleepers and/or need total silence might look at other models.

As to the comment about not producing enough moisture to get through the night...how much do you SLEEP? We fill the tank when we go to bed, and 8 hours later, it's just about empty. That's on the highest setting on both dials (max humidity and max fan), AND we live in a high desert area with hardly any ambient humidity to speak of. Just last night, we ran it on max fan and half humidity (our son's sinuses are getting better) and the tank was still half full after 8 hours of sleep. I suppose if you sleep for more than 8 hours, or if you're trying to humidify more than one room in the house, this might not be the one for you, but come on! It tells you right on the box that it's good for A bedroom.

As far as the melting of the tanks I've read about...that's terrible, but ours hasn't done that.

I'll give this humidifier 4 stars, not because it didn't come with a manual, but because after calling them multiple times, Holmes still hasn't sent me one (even though they've told me they will, and even given me other websites to check dedicated to replacement manuals which...surprise...don't have the one for this model). Also, I agree that the "power down" "feature" IS stupid and, not having a manual, I thought I had broken this thing at first. However, one you know you have to do it, you just do it. it's like turning off your PC: I bet we all thought it was silly to go to "start" and select "shut down" to turn them off...but we all do it now, don't we?

Could it be better? Maybe, but I have no major complaints with it. You put water in, you turn it on, the room gets moist. Isn't that what a humidifier's supposed to do?

Just thought I'd post this, since it looks like the reviews are mostly one sided up to this point!

Thanks to my cold, dry apartment, I have chronic sinus infections. I bought this humidifier and it has been amazing the air is pleasantly un-dry and my nose is very happy! I definitely notice a positive difference now that I run this particular unit, and I can tell when it has been off all day (I only run it at night). :) It is easy to fill, easy to clean, and I kind of like the soft water sounds it makes as it 'percolates'. :) There was a lot of belly-aching about this product on other sites, but with proper use and care, it is a really worthwhile product.

Honest reviews on Holmes HM5305-UC Warm Mist Humidifier

I bought this humidifier a year ago. I like it because there are no filters to mess with. It's easy to keep clean and sanitized. It takes just a few minutes to heat up and start steaming. It does make a little noise, but not enough to be bothersome at night, at least for me. Since using this humidifier, I've noticed my skin is not as dry in the winter and it has been really helping with my sinus infections. A year later and it still works great.

Regret buying it for my bedroom because every 60 seconds it sounds like a boiling teapot, only pours out mist like a volcano every 60 seconds, meaning it is not a steady QUIET flow...My old one lasted two winter seasons then broke...I am not very confident in the quality of Holmes Products since they seem to break every other season...

Last fall I purchased a Honeywell HCM750 cool vapor humidifier, made by Kaz. Initially it worked fine but, following its instructions, after a couple of weeks I cleaned it. When I put it back together, it would not run and had to phone Kaz customer service. I am quite handy with these gadgets and followed their instructions but could not get it to work; it appears the core of the humidifier is a magnetic rotor that makes the fan turn and it just would not work.

Finally I sent the unit back for repair/replacement, and since it was winter and wanted to keep the humidity in my house at an appropriate level, I purchased a second unit, which I figured later on to use in the bedrooms area. It was around Christmas time, but it took three weeks to get the repaired unit back. Once back it worked fine, and I kept both units going. When both were working, my electronic temperature and humidity control was measuring between 25 and 30%, which I consider on the low end of humidity during the winter months, with gas hot-forced-air heating, and I kept the units runnning 24-7, except when adding water to the tanks.

A few weeks later it was time to clean both units and lo and behold, one of them would not run and had to play with the magnetic rotor for maybe one hour or so until it would start running properly. Put both units back to work, and the next day, one of them is sitting in a 12-inch poodle of water. Could not figure out what was the problem; took it apart, put it back together, and then again problem with the magnetic rotor. Finally got it to work only at medium speed (it has a 3-speed dial).

By this time I was quite disappointed and decided to take both units and donate them to a non-profit organization, while looking to buy another brand for next winter. Sorry I bought it. I will do better next time.

We should have researched before purchasing this humidifier. It worked fine for a couple nights, then randomly stopped working. We played around with the assembly of the tubing and got it to work, only to have it break down again a few nights later. We ultimately returned the unit, assuming it was defective, only to get a brand new one that also stops working on a regular basis.

In short, I would NOT recommend this humidifier to anyone who wants a reliable unit that you know, actually functions. If you want to tinker with it for hours on end, then this is for you.

After using this product for about 6 months, and letting it run dry a time or two, I found that, as others have noted, the pump would lock up (with a loud "clack") and the water would stop flowing. I disassembled the pump and tried various fixes involving washers, but my thinnest washer was still too thick to let the impeller spin.

I then had the idea of lubricating the impeller and the inside of the pump. I didn't have any silicone spray, but I did have a candle I used for fragrance. Smearing a fingertip with the oily wax, I wiped the wax all over the impeller, the removeable cap, and the inside of the pump, and reassembled the pump. Voila! No more locking up. This worked until I accidentally let the pump run dry again; after relubricating it it's working fine again.

This is an easy fix for the only problem I've found in what is otherwise a great product. I particularly like the fact that filling the humidifier with water is very easy and requires no disassembly; you can just pour it into the large openings even while the unit is running. Also, the wicking is clearly visible at the top of the unit so that you can tell that all's well with it.

This humidifier worked fine for a few weeks, then the pump failed. I called up customer service and they sent a new pump. It ran another month and now this pump is failing. It's a poor design, the bushing on the pump rotor wears out and the pump rotor jams. I'm replacing the pump with a small table-top fountain pump. These last much longer under continuous use.

We bought one of these near the end of November and were initially happy with it. I read some of the other reviews out here; we didn't have any issues with the motor, and didn't find it particularly noisy. It worked well for about two months. I took it apart and put the washable pieces through the dishwasher on a few occasions. The humidity in the house was finally hovering around 35-40%. No problems so far.

The other day, I decided to relocate it. I picked it up and there was a huge wet spot on the carpet where it had been sitting. No good. I cleaned it again, and set it on a plastic lid from a storage container. Sure enough, the next day it was sitting in a puddle of water.

I called Honeywell product support, they said it was defective and wanted me to ship it back to them at my expense. I told them I didn't have the box anymore and it would be cheaper for me to just toss it and buy a new one. Mwa waaa.

Pros: works well, not particularly noisy, kicks out plenty of moisture (as long as you fill it once a day).

Cons: leaks like crazy although there are no apparent cracks in the water containing portion of the unit. Maybe it isn't a leak, I suppose the warm motor could attract some condensation but I doubt it.

We threw it out. Buy something else.

I have gone through various Propylene Glycol pre-mixed solutions before for humidors and this is as good as any other. I use this both in my larger forced air humidifier and also in my second humidor with the oasis style one. No issues and for the price it is good. On a side note, the packaging with the smug cigar smoker on it is a good conversation piece too for friends.

This solution works as promised. Careful not to use too much or your humidity levels can jump to 80%. I have gone through two bottles and placing a reorder for more.

Bought it, Using it and absolutely no problems. Using bit in a high end gel cup that says it must only use its high end solution! Well let me tell you its the same ratio of mix and I am having 0 issues , its staying right at 70% what more could I ask fer? Just make sure you watch your humidor on long periods of rain and if it has a glass top and if you keep it somewhere it gets a lot of change in tempature.... enjoy !

I have kept my humidor between 60 and 70 degrees and this kept the humidity at 70%. After 2 months i noticed fuzz on my humidifier. Don't think this is truly anti fungal.
