I cannot believe all the great reviews. I never even got to use these sheets because they shrank to 50% of the original size when I washed/dryed them for the first time (and our dryer doesn't even get hot). I was a stupid first time mom who registered for 4 sets and washed all of them together. Had to purchase another sheet set (2) which we've used for 2 1/2 years. This is at the very top of my stupid baby purchases.

Reviews of Carters Easy Fit Printed Crib Fitted Sheet
We got several of this style sheet, as well as several of the easy-fit sateen sheets. The sateen ones are great, and after 20 months still fit on the mattress, but this style shrank to the point that it no longer fits at all. Waste of money.

Best Small Filigree Steamer - Brown Majolica Deals
Customer Ratings:
List Price: $70.43

We have a Pacific Energy Alderlea T5 with a majolica brown porcelain finish. This little guy matches perfect. While it's a little small, I don't think I would want it any bigger for appearance purposes. We don't go through too much water since it typically does not sit directly on the steel stove but rather the built in trivet on our stove. If you're planning to put this directly on top of the stove, just plan on the need to fill it more often (it's not recommended to let it dry up and sit on the hot stove). We're using distilled water so our well water doesn't wreak havoc on this pretty little guy.
This is a competitively-priced steamer that is solid in construction and looks better than anything else we've seen, and most importantly (for my wife), it matches perfectly. I would highly recommend buying this and then buying the PE Alderlea T5 wood stove to match!

Buy Honeywell HCM6013 Cool Mist Air Humidifier
Customer Ratings:
List Price: $179.99
Sale Price: $128.83
Today's Bonus: 28% Off

We bought the Honeywell HCM-6013i cool mist humidifier to replace a GermGuardin humidifier that stopped working after 90 days of use. So far, this unit is performing quite well.
According to the specification in the owner's manual, this unit is capable of outputting 11 gallons per day (I'm assuming per 24 hours). Do not confuse this with the unit's water holding capacity. In two separate tanks, the humidifier holds about a total of 3.5 gallons of water. And you will not notice any humidifying mist as you might with other types of humidifier. This humidifier works by the same principle as a swamp cooler.
I usually have the fan speed on low and the humidity level set on auto at 35%. At these settings, I have to fill the water tanks every one and a half day or so. The HCM-6013i built-in hygrometer (humidity sensor) is no where near accurate. Although I have the unit set on 35%, actual humidity measured by a separate and more accurate hygrometer, measures 45%. I recommend buying a separate hygrometer so that you can find the right humidity level. If you're not as picky as I am, you can always go by feel and adjust the humidity control up or down until you find your comfort level, to where the unit turn on or off based on the setting.
This unit fits together from essentially four pieces; the base, the motor housing, and the two water tanks. The pieces do not exactly fit together that well. The design of this unit reminds me of something that was made from the former USSR. It's clunky...but it works. It has no problem keeping up the desired humidity level when the AC is on and the outside relative humidity is 10% 15%. It draws water from one of the two tanks at a time. When either one of the water tank is drained the unit makes a buzzing noise from the empty lighter tank. It's a little annoying, but a little tab or jolt usually resolves this buzzing noise.
I recommend buying a spare HC-14 replacement filter for this unit. I already notice that within a day if not hours of use the water-wicking filter mentioned was turning a little brown on the top. I don't know if the browning of the filter is due to using tap water for the humidifier or the air in my condo is that dirty. I hope it's the former rather than the latter.
The manual states that using tap water is OK because the water-wicking filter will absorb and retain the minerals in tap water, while the Protec water cleaning cartridge will help fight bacteria and other microbes in the water.
As mentioned above. This humidifier works about the same way as a swamp cooler. In a dry and warm environment, this humidifier does put out a noticeably cool breeze.
This product also boasts of having an "Air Washing Technology", and an independently controlled air ionizer. I can't comment too much about these features because I can't attest to how well they work. Again some swamp coolers can also claim of being able to wash the air as they cool...right? My gut feeling tells me that these features are a bit gimmicky. Does it really "clean" the air in my condo? Maybe. Does the air in my condo really need cleaning? Sometimes.
As another reviewer noted, the parts were not designed to fit snuggly, so the unit will occasionally start rattling very loudly. Shifting one of the tanks will usually solve that for a few hours or more, but it's no fun when it wakes you up at night to do that. Otherwise, the device is reasonably quiet, especially on the lower fan settings.
The most surprising thing about this humidifier is the lack of a tank-empty indicator. This unit has a total of 10 LED indicators on the top, including five just to show the selected humidity level. It does have a float which cuts power to the fan when the tanks are empty, but no indication of that is given. The only way to figure out when you need to refill it is if you use the ionizer function: if you do that, you'll notice the blue indicator for the ionizer is lit but the fan is silent; that only happens when the tanks are empty. Yes, figuring out when to fill the tanks requires subtle detective work.
Considering most humidifiers costing half as much have a tank-empty indicator, it amazes me the manufacturer chose to save a few cents by eliminating this critical feature.
January 2010 update: Due to the poor fit of the parts, one of the two tanks doesn't latch into the water valve, and so it doesn't empty unless the other tank is removed. This makes the unit effectively an oversized 5.5 gallon one, instead of 11 gallon.
NOTE: This review would also apply to model #'s 6009,6011, and 6012. All these models are basically the same with the exception of minor control differences--(knobs/digital led indicators).

The unit seems to do a reasonable job at humidifying a 1300 square feet apartment. The tanks are easy to fill, and the controls are easy to operate. As another reviewer noted, the parts were not designed to fit snuggly, so the unit will occasionally start rattling very loudly. Best Deals for Honeywell HCM6013 Cool Mist Air Humidifier
I just put the unit in service 12 hrs ago and it performs as advertised. I have had other humidifiers so using this one and setting it up was not an issue for me, nor did I have any expectations outside of an improved comfort level in the treated area. The design is simple and some may say somewhat crude but it simply is not a highly designed piece of technology---it's a humidifier and effectively raises the moisture level in the air. My home was so dry 19% RH with an outside temp of 12 F. It has been so cold and dry the last few days that my skin has actually been itching. On a high fan speed the unit went through both tanks of water in about 8-9 hrs which is consistant with the advertised spec of 11 gals/ 24 hrs. Again, the air was very dry and before running out of water I achieved a RH of 38% up from 19%. It will take a few days to get the area (1700 sq ft) to a comfortable RH of 45%. I would expect at that point the water usage and or need to refill the tanks will decrease as the humidity level increases--(moisture output should slow down regardless of fan speed as the moisture/humidity in the room air increases--I think). On the high fan speed the unit is a bit noisy and you probably would not want it in a bedroom at night--med and low fan speeds provide a reduction in the air noise--on low the unit will /can be tolerated in a bedroom and should not disturb sleep. The only other sound of note is an occasional water gurgle as the water leaves the tank and enters the reservoir. I haven't noticed any rattles that other reviews have mentioned though there could have been some rubber cushions placed in a couple of areas during production which would have eliminated the occasional plastic on plastic rattle---easily remedied by placing a thin piece of foam packing, paper towel, napkin, or material in between the tanks and the motor housing---simple but again something that should be part of the production process. The lack of a water level gauge or simple sight window that allows you to see in the tank would be helpful but after a few days of use you will become familiar enough with the unit and develop a feel for when the tanks need to be refilled based on your use preferences/settings.NOTE: This review would also apply to model #'s 6009,6011, and 6012. All these models are basically the same with the exception of minor control differences--(knobs/digital led indicators).

Review of Air Innovations Healthy Mist Ultrasonic Humidifier
I know this is not even sold on Amazon but I picked up two of them and they both work really well. On high, the water lasts for at least 12 hours, on low closer to 18 hours and if you use filtered water it keeps the white dust to a minimum. If you see these on sale somewhere, don't hesitate.
The IDEA of it was perfect -germ free, easy care, fits on tabletop, built in nightlight, directional mist, etc. But ONLY if the unit produces steam instead of leaking water.
If you do try it, be careful!!

After researching many humidifiers, I picked this one because of the Air Innovations name and the price. I love it and use it every night. We have central heat and a/c and the cool mist is great for my sinuses. I would recommend it to anyone who needs one. Very easy to use.Best Deals for Air Innovations Healthy Mist Ultrasonic Humidifier
Received this. Excited. Followed directions to add water and put the thing together. And it leaked water all over furniture and hardwoods on the very first use. Product documentation sketchy and inadequate -only one page. Very annoyed and disappointed. My wife has tried every humidifier on the market. This is, by far, the best one she has ever had. We also bought a second one for our daughter. Do not listen to the person who gave it a one star rating. This humidifier is awesome!Wednesday, September 24, 2014
Review of Objet d'art Release No.258-InchSulu Bleeding Heart-Inch Endangered
I tried the other bottle type humidifiers (Air-O-Swiss & Sunpentown). This one was the quietest, put out the most steam, and cost the least. I use it on my bedside table during the night and it has eliminated my sinus trouble. The company ships fast and uses priority mail. I am very pleased with this purchase.
Otherwise it's been working with for me for several days running for extended periods.
2012-01-28 Addendum: I've now had this for some time, and it's still working well, although I've found my office is apparently connected to the desert, and I've had to move up to a larger humidifier. Also, an additional note on the adapters. I re-checked my adapters after reading in some reviews that people got this working with US bottles. Upon close inspection, the 3rd adapter IS slightly smaller then the other 2. I think it's intended to be sized for the plastic screw top opening common to US products. That said, I had tried all the adapters when I got it, and I re-tried just now to be sure. I think the adapter I got is either bad, or it's not made with tight tolerances. I am unable to get it to screw all the way onto a bottle, it almost always cross-threads. When it doesn't, it won't screw down very far, and as a result, water leaks from around the adapter, so it's un-usable for me. Maybe I just got a bad adapter there, your mileage may vary.
I'm here at work now using it. It takes up very little space and makes little to no noise. My supervisor is already asking me where I got it and for how much. I highly recommend it.

I just got one of these to use in my office last week. I've been testing it out over the weekend and it has been working quite well for me. One thing that I will mention: The adapters that come with this unit do not fit on standard American 20oz bottles. They are sized for a european sized opening. The instructions mention Evian and some other brand of bottled water that has this size opening. I had to go pick up a couple bottles of Evian to use. I'm sorta surprised that no one else mentioned this.Otherwise it's been working with for me for several days running for extended periods.

I was heading to Jo'burg, South Africa where the humidity is very low during the winter. I knew I was going to need some humidity in the hotel, but didn't want to lug a traditional humidifier down there. This little guy did well. I bought a very large water bottle (1 liter) and used the adapter which was included. Plugged it in and it ran for several hours. I'm not certain if it really increased the humidity of the entire room, but just in the area around me was well humidified. It was a cold mist, and pretty quiet. The only annoyance was the light. Otherwise, the gurgle from the water bottle emptying wasn't too bad. It was great to fit in my suitcase. Not too heavy, not too difficult to use. Overall a great little device to have on hand.Honest reviews on Objet d'art Release No.258-InchSulu Bleeding Heart-Inch Endangered

I've owned this humidifier for over a year now and I am in the process of looking for it on sale to replace all my other ones in the home. It's filterless so I haven't had to worry about moldy smells or finding a filter in the middle of winter at ridiculous prices. Anywho, this one is in my kids' room and I keep it at a low setting and it gives off this soft hum that actually drowns out other home noises. I fill it up every third day and I haven't had problems with water spilling or any other malfunction (like I've read in other reviews). Once a month I clean the base with a clorox wipe and I'm set. I also add an anti microbial solution (from Kaz)every time I refill it and it helps keep it clean and odorless.
No more Holmes products for me and I'd recommend that you steer clear as well. This is a lousy product from an apathetic company.
Because the humidifier is 2 years and 1 month old, Holmes would not stand by their 2 year warranty. There was no attempt on their part to recognize that the unit had only been used for 2 seasons.
I recommend that readers never buy a Holmes.

I bought this unit for use last winter. It performed well for the season, but the o-ring degraded over time. I also noticed the plastic near the spout was also beginning to break down and the two sections making up that area were starting to pull apart. I contacted Holmes to get a new o-ring. They told me 1) they were on backorder, 2) they had LOTS of orders for these, 3) I could not buy just the o-ring, would have to buy the "cap assembly" (mind you, the o-ring fits in to the tank, NOT the cap) and 4) they would put my name on a list to be notified when the parts were available. So, now winter is approaching and I call again and am informed that they are no longer making this o-ring (also, keep in mind this is a unique o-ring...nothing you could buy in catalogs or HI stores). I will not buy another Holmes product if I can help it. I am shocked to see they are still selling it despite not having parts for customers who will eventually need them.Best Deals for Holmes HM495-UC Ultrasonic Comfort Select Humidifier
I already have a Vornado humidifier, but bought this one because I was tired of buying and storing replacement filters. This humidifier is extremely quiet. If you listen carefully, you may hear a slight trickle as the tank drains, but the blower is inaudible. The tank is very capacious. I run it on high all day and night and only refill it twice a day. I've been very happy. It only gets four stars, though, because it's a bit underpowered. The vaporizer is capable of producing a lot of steam, but the blower can't push it far enough into the air. If you run the unit on the highest setting, you must place it on a raised, waterproof platform so that the water doesn't settle to the ground. If Holmes had included a more powerful fan, it wouldn't be a problem. For now, I have a fan pointed at it to mix the steam with the air.Honest reviews on Holmes HM495-UC Ultrasonic Comfort Select Humidifier
I live in a very small town. We have one variety store from which to buy things like this, and the only humidifiers they carry are Holmes. Over the past couple of years, I've bought several of these--not because I have a lot of rooms to humidify but because their products are so disposable. Either the motors go out or the 0-rings break or they spring leaks in the base. When I have had occasion to contact customer support to try to obtain a new o-ring or lid, I've been told twice that this model has been discontinued (when in fact, year after year, this piece of junk continues to appear on shelves and websites). No more Holmes products for me and I'd recommend that you steer clear as well. This is a lousy product from an apathetic company.

I bought a Holmes HM 495 humidifier on Dec 8, 2007. In Jan, 2010 I decided to begin using it for the dry winter season. The rubber gasket that that prevents water from flowing from the tank above into the reservoir below had dried up and crumbled away. I e-mailed Holmes Service twice describing the issue, but never received a reply. I finally called the Service department to learn that they no longer make this rubber gasket. Thus the humidifier is useless, and must be disposed of.Because the humidifier is 2 years and 1 month old, Holmes would not stand by their 2 year warranty. There was no attempt on their part to recognize that the unit had only been used for 2 seasons.
I recommend that readers never buy a Holmes.

Bigger than I thought or would have liked. But so far serves its purpose! Just a basic black box. Perfect if you want to hide what it's use.Saturday, December 28, 2013
Broksonic Hybrid Ultrasonic Humidifier and Diffuser Reviews
I was so excited to get this from Brookstone because of the good reviews and it looks so beautiful. However, it is a bit loud for us to put in the bedroom while sleeping. I don't know what other reviewers think of the sound of the motor but it bothers both me and my husband so much that we have to turn it off after 15 minutes of us trying to get some sleep. The motor makes this power noise for a minute then shut off for a second and turn back on again and repeat it constantly. It also has 3 lights on the bottom of the unit for "on/off", "medium/high" and "2hr/4hr" that's like yellow green and red. You can hardly notice them when the room is lighted but when we shut off the light for bed, these little lights shine like crazy. We finally decided to put it in the living room instead since it won't bother us if we are just watching movie. Over all still a pretty humidifier but it won't work for the bedroom if you have an issue with noise and lights in the bedroom.
Easy to use and fill.
If on the high setting will last you one night's sleep. On the low setting you will get more than 2 nights without refilling.
I don't feel that it really pumps out a ton of moisture that I am used to with other humidifiers unless it's on the high setting.
If you like clean minimal design instead of a bulky ugly machine, this is for you.
I am generally happy with it.
The one problem that it has is when you take the cover off to refill, some of the condensed water drips out and you need to wipe those few drops off the floor or the table it's sitting on.

Humidifies my bedroom and looks great enough that my partner will allow it to stay out on our dresser. No other company makes a fashionable humidifier.Honest reviews on Broksonic Hybrid Ultrasonic Humidifier and Diffuser
Handy, even set on high runs a long time. It's been helpful for winter dryness. It blends in well to the home space as it looks like a vase on a table.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Broksonic Hybrid Ultrasonic Humidifier and Diffuser
great humidifier, really love it, but it doesn't hold all that much water, so you have to refill it often. But it looks good on and off : )Thursday, December 26, 2013
Germ Guardian H4500 120 Hour Pureguardian Ultrasonic Humidifier ( Review
I love this humidifier. Doesn't "algae up" like most of the others. Runs relatively quietly, though I personally don't mind a little background noise while I sleep. Really helps with the dryness when the heat is on... i.e. husband sleeps better. I am using distilled water in the humidifier and there is no increased dustiness in the room. The product is worth the price!!!

This is the first wireless weather station that we've found to read through steel siding. We tried 2 others with no luck. This is a great product and we love Oscar. Even my husband looks to see what he is wearing or if he's carrying an umbrella.
She says she puts the main unit in whatever room she wants to and gets a reading from out side. She also likes the humidity reading for inside. Highly recommended.
I love the the graphics that gives you a clue what kind of clothing you need for the day. The Weather Man (who most people call Oscar) changes his clothes depending on the temperature outside. He will start to wear long sleeves when temperature goes down to 66 degrees F. At 50 degrees Fahrenheit he will wear a hat and a coat. When it supposed to rain, you will see him holding an umbrella.
I got this unit from Woot, another online discount retailer owned by Amazon. Opening the package is such a pill though. I muttered a few words that I haven't used for a long long time. I almost got poked by the sharp plastic trying to pry it apart. There are two units in the package, an indoor unit where it has the large LCD panel, and the outdoor unit that you attach outside to monitor the outside temperature. Both units requires two double As batteries not included. You will need to follow a pattern when putting the batteries. First put the batteries on the smaller stick that you will place outside the house. Then put the batteries on the main unit. In about several seconds to a minute, you will see the temperature on the LCD screen appear on top. This tells you that the wireless is functioning right. If not, repeat the process of putting the batteries. Make sure to have both units close to each other during the wireless synching. After it synched, you can now place it outside anywhere you like as long as you don't place it too far. 300 ft. is the max according to the label.
It also shows humidity, date and time. The weather tendency indicator, shown with an arrow inside a rectangle on the upper left of Oscar, tells whether the air pressure is going up or down. Going up means the weather is expected to improve.

This is a fairly accurate weather Station. It is the second one of the same brand and model that I have purchased. The first one worked well for about 2 years before the sensor began malfunctioning and began requiring a change of batteries every 2 weeks. For the price it is a decent La Crosse Technology The Weather Channel WS-9630TWC-IT Wireless Forecast Station with Advanced Iconweather station.Best Deals for La Crosse Technology WS-9630U-IT Wireless Forecast Station
I got this for my mother and installed the sensor for her. I put the sensor in a relatively shaded area on a tree just outside her house. It was easy to put up, came with 2 screws. She says she puts the main unit in whatever room she wants to and gets a reading from out side. She also likes the humidity reading for inside. Picked this up for Christmas. So far it is working fine, even down to 29.7 degrees BELOW zero Fahrenheit. It did lose the connection with the outdoor wireless sensor one time, but a quick battery removal/replace of the main unit reestablished connection. I would buy it again.
