This filter seems to not wick the water throughout its surface as well as the other models I have used. The top part gets dry after a while, even when there is water still in the bottom compartment of the humidifier.

Many retailers consider this and similar items to be seasonal (winter-early spring). I prefer to have replacement wicks available at the beginning of the heating season. I've waited until December to purchase these wick only to find them out of stock until the fall of the new year!! It's great to have the option of buying them any time of the year1!!!!!

These don't fit as well as the Holmes brand and they are not as absorbent. They are only effective for about a week.

This replacement wick filter just would not absorb water ended up being useless.I am not returning it just not worth the effort.
