I love this product. The problem with most humidifiers is the high bacterial growth in the water. You can tell by the musty smell in the air from the dirty and contaminated water in the tray and in the tank. Clean steam has no odor. I am doing this review based on the specific humidifier machine I own, the Honeywell Model HCM 630. I live in NYC in an overheated apartment during the cold months. My husbands and I got a lot of cold, dry coughs, dry skin and nose bleeds from the heated dry air that was why I bought this machine two years ago to alleviate our suffering. There are three hidden maintenance steps that every humidifier owner must perform that the manufacturer of the humidifier usually did not mention in their instruction booklet in order to keep the humidifier hygienic. The first, one must keep the tank and the water scrupulously clean by scrubbing the inside of the tank, the inside of the lid while changing the water daily. The second, once a month, after cleaning the tank, you drop one of these Protec cartridges in the tank and let it do its work as it helps slow down growth and migration of mold, fungus, algae, and bacteria in the water and on the filter. The third and just as necessary as the other two, replace the big round filter monthly or as often as every two weeks especially if you keep the humidifier running 24/7. If you do all three steps regularly, you'll enjoy the clean steam that helps protect your mucus membranes from drying out (much healthier for all of us) during the winter months and one added bonus, not being zapped by static shocks when touching another person or a metallic object when the humidifier is operating.

I have purchased many Crane (kids) humidifiers -a couple for myself -and I love them! They are quiet, efficient, and they work with less mold/mildew or crusty sediment than other humidifiers, thanks to this little jewel. I guess it would work for any sonic type humidifier and I'm sold! I'll keep using these during the winter months when inside air is so dry that I need to run the humidifiers!

Chi weathers are dry as a mo-fo. I run my humidifier during the day so I can actually sleep at night. These little guys are great at keeping the unit clean. I replace mine every month, but thing I will start to cycle twice a month.

I tried the other bottle type humidifiers (Air-O-Swiss & Sunpentown). This one was the quietest, put out the most steam, and cost the least. I use it on my bedside table during the night and it has eliminated my sinus trouble. The company ships fast and uses priority mail. I am very pleased with this purchase.

I just got one of these to use in my office last week. I've been testing it out over the weekend and it has been working quite well for me. One thing that I will mention: The adapters that come with this unit do not fit on standard American 20oz bottles. They are sized for a european sized opening. The instructions mention Evian and some other brand of bottled water that has this size opening. I had to go pick up a couple bottles of Evian to use. I'm sorta surprised that no one else mentioned this.

Otherwise it's been working with for me for several days running for extended periods.

2012-01-28 Addendum: I've now had this for some time, and it's still working well, although I've found my office is apparently connected to the desert, and I've had to move up to a larger humidifier. Also, an additional note on the adapters. I re-checked my adapters after reading in some reviews that people got this working with US bottles. Upon close inspection, the 3rd adapter IS slightly smaller then the other 2. I think it's intended to be sized for the plastic screw top opening common to US products. That said, I had tried all the adapters when I got it, and I re-tried just now to be sure. I think the adapter I got is either bad, or it's not made with tight tolerances. I am unable to get it to screw all the way onto a bottle, it almost always cross-threads. When it doesn't, it won't screw down very far, and as a result, water leaks from around the adapter, so it's un-usable for me. Maybe I just got a bad adapter there, your mileage may vary.

I was heading to Jo'burg, South Africa where the humidity is very low during the winter. I knew I was going to need some humidity in the hotel, but didn't want to lug a traditional humidifier down there. This little guy did well. I bought a very large water bottle (1 liter) and used the adapter which was included. Plugged it in and it ran for several hours. I'm not certain if it really increased the humidity of the entire room, but just in the area around me was well humidified. It was a cold mist, and pretty quiet. The only annoyance was the light. Otherwise, the gurgle from the water bottle emptying wasn't too bad. It was great to fit in my suitcase. Not too heavy, not too difficult to use. Overall a great little device to have on hand.

Works great and very compact. I recommend using the SamsClub/Walmart 20 oz bottle of purified water. It fits tight into the adapter with no leaks and lasts 9 hours on medium-high setting.

I bought this to use at the office since they have the heat turned up high, the air is so dry making it hard to breathe thru my nose. I got this delivered on saturday so i got to test it out over the weekend. One 16oz bottle of water lasted 10 hours. I set it up right by my bed. it definately made breathing much easier....i slept like a baby.

I'm here at work now using it. It takes up very little space and makes little to no noise. My supervisor is already asking me where I got it and for how much. I highly recommend it.

We purchased the SPT hot water dispenser as a replacement for a Tatung unit that lost its heating element after many years of service.

The SPT unit arrived with a dent in the housing, although the carton was intact. I suspect that it was shipped this way from the factory. It was not a large enough cosmetic defect to cause us to return it, but did nothing to raise our confidence in the company.

This unit has both manual and automatic dispensing, which is a nice feature. The manual pump is stiff and difficult to operate, however. The sides of the unit are warm to the touch, implying that it is marginally-insulated and so not as energy-efficient as it could be.

I ordered two. One of the dispensors was received damage and Amazon quickly replaced it. The dispensor is a good sized and is working with no problems. I like the special one-touch auto dispense feature, my previous dispensor only had the manual air pump. The dispensor is attractive and should be perfect in any setting. The water temperature holds well for the whole day for that extra cup of instant coffee or tea.

The product itself is fine. I ordered this particular set for the brackets. I wanted to stick them in the lid of our diaper pail. Our pail is really a kitchen trash pail and doesn't have a place for deodorant disks. The adhesive on the brackets is pretty weak. So they fell off after a few opening and closings of the lid.

Just bought these at Target. First of all, the air freshener does not stay in the clip, it falls right out. Second of all, the fragrance isn't strong enough to make a difference. Right now I have it sitting on top of the diaper pail, just to see if I can smell it (I put it on the inside of the pail & it fell out) and I smell nothing. These are going back to the store.
