We bought a Lasko humidifier and ran it all last winter. Did a wonderful job keeping humidity levels high. We have very hard calcium rich water which produces a lot of scale, so the filters were pretty bad after just one season. I priced these around and Amazon blew away the competition, as usual.

I purchased this to replace a dirty filter in my Lasko 1128 humidifier. It is a direct replacement of the filter that came with the device and fit perfectly. It humidifies just as well as the OEM filter. This also has antibacterial properties built in and so far so good. Amazon has it for the best price of any place I've seen (Prime for the win!) I've seen these as expensive as $24.99 at a local Lowes so definitely get it on Amazon with your prime membership.

this is exactly what we needed and we got it fast. It works great for our LASKO Cascade Humidifier. Fits perfect. We have hard water so we need to replace these quite often which is a pain, but necessary when you see how gross they get.

I've been using the filter for the past month now and it does everything the product description says it would do. For someone who lives in the desert, our water supply isn't the best. I love this product, unfortunately I can't say the same for the humidifier itself. This filter significantly reduced the dust emitted into my daughter's room. When combined with filtered water I barely had to clean the room. The other humidifiers left dust that had to be cleaned 2-3 times a week (we have hard water). The humidifier itself was overpriced and died about 10 days after the very short 90 day warranty expired, despite weekly cleaning as instructed. I wish these filters were available for other humidifiers. Great product.

Even with softened water my digital Crane germ defense ultrasonic cool/warm mist humidifier would spray out a lot of mineral dust all over surfaces in the room and its insides would accumulate mineral deposits. After I started using this filter cartridge with the unit those problems went away.

This case is great. It's sturdy, durable, spacious and convenient. There isn't much more to say than that. It does its job, and it does it well.

Con: Upon receiving the case, I immediately opened it and noticed a faint chemical/adhesive smell. After a closer deeper sniff there was definitely the smell of a chemical or adhesive. At first I suspected that it may be the foam, but when I tried to remove the foam I discovered that it was being held in the case by double-sided tape. I carefully peeled the foam away from the tape making sure I didn't rip the foam. Once the foam was removed, the tape scraped away with just my finger but with some difficulty (this is good tape – NASA grade). Without a doubt, the tape is there to hold the foam in the case (it also hold the humidifier in), but once I removed the tape the foam stayed in the case just fine. The foam is cut to fit the case exactly plus a little bit more, and the little bit more is just enough to keep it wedged in there without the glue. I allowed the case and foam to air out overnight, and that seems to have made an immense improvement. The foam still has a faint smell, but its foam. That faint smell may never go away.

Every cigar smoker knows that you don't want something that gives off an odor (like glue) to be near your cigars because they'll absorb that odor. Who knows how long you would have to keep cigars in the case before the glue odor was noticeable in the cigar; maybe it never would be. But, I'm not going to find out. I docked the case one star for the glue odor and excessive use of the tape. There are other adhesive options that would do the job just fine without the odor.

So, after a bit of scraping and airing out, I now have a five star travel case for cigars. Excellent.

I am not the biggest cigar aficionado but usually like to have a couple cigars on hand when I am with my friends. This case is very sturdy and it's easy to throw in your suitcase when you're headed somewhere for a weekend. The blaze orange and waterproof features of this humidor are great because I typically take mine camping. It's nice to know that if you leave it outside on a table overnight your cigars will stay nice and safe. Depending on what size cigars you smoke you might run into some issues fitting 5 bigger gauge cigars in it but it does typically fit 5. The humidifying disc that is on the lid of this case is probably it's biggest downfall. It is just a little foam disc that you need to place droplets of water on frequently to keep it humid and it just doesn't cut it. But once you have something better to control the humidity in the Caddy, such as a Boveda pack you'll be set! Overall this is a great travel humidor that I would recommend to any causal cigar smoker.

I bought these two days ago. The smaller unit was for my bedroom and the larger one for my daughter's. She is a baby and has started rubbing her nose and eyes and is stuffy. So I bought these units in hopes of cleaning the air. In just two days I have noticed she is breathing easier.

A special note, the larger unit was loud. It had a high pitch kind of rattling sound. My husband pulled the filter out, messed with some wire or other and now it is whisper quiet, like the smaller one.

Good buy overall. A little pricey on Amazon but my daughter is sleeping easier which was the whole point.

I use one of these in a room on the first floor and one in my bedroom. They are pretty quiet but not silent. The higher you set it the louder it is. They really seem to help with dust and such in the air.

This a full-featured thermostat which will handle most HVAC configurations. I use it to control my furnace and heat pump in a dual-fuel setup. The only improvements I could think of would be a wireless outdoor temperature sensor, more settings for temperature differential, and maybe more parameters for 2-stage furnace control. For the price it's tough to beat.

1F95-1291 White Rodgers Premium Touchscreen Multi-stage or HEAT-PUMP Programmable Thermostat

I purchased and installed the 1F95-1291 thermostat 2 years ago this May.

So far I am very happy with it. It does take a bit of programming knowledge

to get around in it. (Even for me and I program building automation for a living)

My system is a York modulating 95% furnace and a 2 stage heat pump. Everything

purchased and installed in May 2009. I have the system set up as a hybrid. I normally use

the gas heat for the most part because I like it better and its cheaper.

I put in the optional outside air temperature sensor. The wiring for the thermostat

and York furnace/heat pump is a bit complicated. I actually ran 10 conductor to the

thermostat (plus the outside air sensor cable) furnace and heat pump. I am using

almost all of them.

There are tons of features on the thermostat reminder for changing air filter,

reminder for changing the pad on the humidifier. There is a cool savings mode that

will raise the set point based on the humidity in the building. Automatic humidification

which will run the furnace fan and humidifier to add humidity to the building.

There are 39 programming steps for all the options so it gets a bit interesting.

All in all I am very happy with this product...

Bulb needs replacement after @ 2000 hours of use. The bulb needs to be the one designed for the Slant/Fin humidifier, not any old UV bulb. It has a small bead of metal (? mercury) in the bulb that acts as an activator. Once replaced, the small yellow light goes out on the humidifier indicating that it is working. So far, it is working well. The problem is finding it on the internet. Prices range from $13.00 to $24.00

Let me begin by saying that I spent many many hours researching online and looking at units in stores. I knew that I wanted a small unit that had both a humidi-stat as well as an auto function. I purchased this humidifier nearly three weeks ago and it has met and exceeded all of my expectations.

I noticed, during my research, many people experienced issues with unusual smells or leaky water containers. People, read the instruction booklet that comes in the box and have reasonable expectations of the hardware. This unit is solid, perhaps a bit noisy on the high setting. The unit will run for 48 hours before needing to be refilled. I use this overnight and the runtime is about 8-10 hour per on-time ans it's days before I need to refill the tank. Also, the manufacturer has a program that you can sign up for and they will send you replacement filters on the schedule of your choosing and free shipping. What a deal.

I would recommend this humidifier.

I'm pretty sure I have a defective humidifier. When I first purchased it I was pretty happy with it, I had to turn it off when watching movies etc. due to the low ambient noise which was fine and it did help the low humidity. In time however, the noise has increased and now 2 months later I will be buying a new humidifier and throwing this unit out because it is just too noisy. Sometimes if I give it a bit of a whack it will run quiet again for an hour or so but the sound of what can only be described as a pebble in a blender is just beyond grating. It is unfortunate since I find the design and size to be among the more workable humidifiers in a home interior.

We have a lodge style home, it gets very dry as soon as the heat comes on and we are soon sniffling and experiencing bloody noses. I usually get the ultrasonic type for the bedroom and put up with the white film and sputtering. We started using Vornado fans last year as a method to move air through the large, high ceiling spaces and were very satisfied. The dogs chewed the cord off the humidifier from last year and I thought I'd try this one. It is very nice but as I've read elsewhere and in the manual, it needs to be run full on until the house adapts. THe house is dry too and will soak up the atmospheric moisture until it is equal to the air. With the space and high ceilings I realized I will need another for the living room open area and leave this one in the bedroom. I am getting the larger size for the bedroom.Vornado HU1-0021-28 Whole Room Evaporative Humidifier I do not find it louder than most humidifiers but we also normally use 'a white noise' to sleep, which might give us a higher tolerance. Also, the lower settings are quieter, I imagine after you bring your room to proper moisture balance, you can reduce the settings, given our house, I am not sure that will ever be an option for us.

The construction is good and it makes tasty milk. I like the filter-less design. It seems to be similar to sonya 18B (minus the ss top).

Time will tell how reliable it is. The warranty is not very good: comes with 1 year warranty; service can take up to 6 weeks to fix it with new or refurbished parts and warranty will not be extended for the fixed product (i.e. if broken on month 12, subsequently fixed, malfunctions again even after a dayyou're out of luck), the fine print is fuzzy on who pays for shipping from the manufacturer back to you.

Like our soy milk taste stronger so we would use about 1 1/2 cup of soy bean, soak for a few hours, and using boiling water and add to max water mark. Selecting the soak bean option and the total process time is approx. 18 mins. Make sure to clean up promptly before the pulp dry up.
