the glass top in mine leaked, i didn't realize it for some months while i kept multiple humidifiers inside to just manage mid 60% to low 70%
a single bead of clear silicone adhesive/sealer around the boarder, on the exterior, fixed the issue. i dont claim to be a connoisseur of the sticks inside, so i cant say if the solvent(s) involved before the silicone set up had any ill effects or not, though none noticed by my barbaric tastes.

Review of BISSELL 3270 Flip-It Pad and Filter Pack
If you have a Flip-it, this kit is well worth purchasing. You get two additional cloth cleaners plus an extra filter.
The filter is the real necessity -after you use the Flip-it you can rinse out the filter and set it out to dry. Put the second (dry) filter in the unit so you're ready to go next time. Then, just keep alternating.
Granted, if you only have one filter you can let it dry and then put it back in. But, I tend to forget to do that, so having 2 filters makes it more convenient.
The cloths last a long time -wish Bissell provided 2 filters and one cloth in the kit. But, fair price for what you get.
Pro: With this kind of cleaning equipment, a back-up filter and cleaning pads are a necessity.
Con: Would have also like to get an additional filter and one brush with this accessory kit (priced accordingly with regard to a kit purchase).
Recommendation: Purchase on sale and definitely with free shipping to justify cost. I have found these items packaged separately at higher price at other stores. Con would not exist if Bissell had included brush and additional brush. Purchase would have earned 5 stars if the items in the Con area had been included.
Tip: Be sure to always dry vac. hard floor before using wet vac. Yes it sounds obvious, but having once forgot to dry vac. floor before washing, the amount of time to wet vac. floor was ridiculous. Brush and pad needed constant cleaning. Filter was worse, greatly reduced vacuum draw of dirty water due to blockage by debris, especially pet hair. Almost considered using garden hose to wet down floor and then squeegee the mess out the kitchen door. Not a good thing!

I own the Bissell Flip-It wet/dry vacuum cleaner. I have had occasional problems with the vacuums filter getting wet and or clogged with debris thus reducing its ability to vacuum up the dirty water from the floor. Aggravating! The extra filter would significantly reduce this aggravation. Extra cleaning pads are good to have available for replacement of the primary pad if it becomes extremely dirty. I agree with the other reviewer--the picture *is* misleading. Bissell does actually sell the pad/brush combination. Amazon should strive to make sure the picture does represent the product or give a clearly seen disclaimer. I'm sure this product is great with the right wet mop! It was recomended with when I bought my flip ease, and I thought "why not?!" It goes to a completely different model, which I didn't figure out until after I opened it. It doesn't come with the red scrubber in the picture either. Buy Bally Cigar Humidor
I've ordered one and recieve it, but it was named as "Berkeley" on box. And look like it has another kind of cherry finish, also I can't find anywhere info that it has Spanish cedar lined, maybe it lined with more cheap cedar and I've not enough skills to understand what type is it, but I'm afraid my cigars could:(.
Another negative was that one of slats that fixes glass from bottom wasn't at its place and was laid separately. It definitely couldn't happened during delivery, it happens on humidor creation. I've fix it by myself with unpining more massive slats, and move this one while they are unpinned to its place, and pin them back. Also, this plat isn't wood it made from MDF.
On other hand, it was good seasoned and have humidity about 70% out of box. Also, its hygrometer look like accurate: I've ordered Xikar deluxe calibrateable one, and it has very close reading(about 3-4% difference)

Bought this as a starter humidor, and was very pleased with it. Nice, fresh smelling cedar on the inside, nice stain on the outside. I can see where there are minor imperfections (nicks/scratches) in the wood which were simply stained over by the manufacturer, which is no big deal for me. If you're buying this as a showpiece, might want to consider a more high-dollar item. For me, I needed a low-budget, higher capacity humidor, and this fits my needs perfectly! Two minor complaints are that the analog hygrometer is pretty inaccurate (after calibrating), and the brass keyhole was mounted crooked at the factory. Again, very minor complaints. I remember my dad looking for a source of various filters (humidifier, dehumidifier, furnace, air conditioner, drinking water) for various appliances with increasing grimness. The appliance might still be in good shape, but the store that sold it went out of business, and nobody else carried the same line. Or the manufacturer made some minor tweaks to the design, which just happened to require a different filter, which just happened to make our unit obsolete. Or it would simply be sold out, and nobody knew exactly when more would arrive. Dad was a guy who worried, and finding replacement filters provided maybe 5% of his life's quota of worry.
How he would have enjoyed Amazon. Exactly the right filter, often available from multiple manufacturers, cheap, and delivered within a few days. Searchable by appliance model number. Nice clear pictures. User reviews which point out obscure features and problems. Every time I order a filter from Amazon, I feel a little burst of thankfulness for the inventors of the Internet and to Jeff Bezos for bringing us Amazon.
This particular filter isn't especially easy to install or well designed, but it's EXACTLY the filter I needed.

I had a smaller version and really liked it. I purchased this one as a gift and the family loves it! They have an old house and their large living room is always cold in the winter. Discount 2 Pack G-Midifier (Green Humidifier) . Save Thousands of Dollars
This humidifier produces natural environment. It is easy to use and maintain. I put it in a dishwasher and run the dishwasher for cleaning. The water lasts at least one to 5 days depending on temperature. I have purchased 3 G-midifiers last year and just ordered 2 more today. It is great for dorm if the student can wash it using a dishwasher at the dorm. Since my son can come back from the dorm to home every weekend, this humidifier is perfect to make his dorm room comfortable and can be washed often. Downside is that this humidifier occupies a half space of one of dishwasher racks when washing. So, I have to run dishwasher more often to wash 5 G-midifiers.

I wrote a very positive review on the original G-Midifier which humidifies without any of the drawbacks of electrical units. This new design is blue and a bit smaller in size, but it's easier to refill without carrying it to the sink. One end of the unit leaves an open area which can be filled with water from a pitcher without getting water all over the floor. Now I just carry the water to the G-Midifier instead of carrying the G-Midifiers to the sink. I don't know if the curved evaporation pads impede airflow, but it seems the water doesn't evaporate quite a quickly as in the former design, but this design is easier to use and still gets the job done.Saturday, January 18, 2014
Discount Vicks Humidifier, Warm Mist
I bought this warm mist humidifier after owning a vaporizer and a cool mist humidifier. The vaporizer was fine except that it was too hot and burned my son's arm, so i needed something else. The cool mist humidifier (different company) broke very fast besides for the expense of changing filters.
This humidifier is great.
1) The warmth is very soothing but not too hot-it won't burn you if you put your hand over the mist.
2) It never leaks onto the floor or gets the surrounding furniture wet (the other one did all the time).
3) It is whisper quiet. You can hardly hear the very soft humming sound even when right near it even on high.
4) It gives out a nice amount of humidity even on the low setting.
5) It is very simple to clean.
6) It is very light and easy to fill up.
On the low setting the water lasts well over 12 hours-I haven't timed exactly how long. On high it goes for about a little over 11 hours. The auto shut-off works very nicely.
I really think this product is great so far. I've paid more for it at a local store and still think it's worth it. The Amazon price is really great which makes it a great buy.
1. Empty the tank whenever unit is going to be off for more than a couple hours. I forgot to do this once and it formed lots more scale and took a lot more time and effort to remove it.
2. If you do not use distilled water (which I don't), descale the heating chamber with white vinegar every day or two. White vinegar is cheap. I don't have to mess with gallons of distilled water bottles or filters for my faucet. I live in a very hard-water area and this method has worked for me: When I get up, I unplug the unit, empty the tank, and put vinegar in the heating chamber. By the time I've showered and dressed, the mineral deposits have begun to fall away from the heating unit. It only takes a bit of prodding to remove the stragglers. I then wipe with a cloth. If I'm going to be home, I refill and start the unit. If I'm going to be gone, I put everything in the dish drainer & it's ready to reassemble and use when I get home. This amounts to about 5 minutes of effort daily. Once a week I disinfect with the bleach solution as recommended in the manual.
I hope this helps. Using the above methods have made this the simplest humidifier to run and keep clean that I've ever had. It also looks like the washer in the tank cap can be purchased at any hardware store, an issue I've had with previous humidifiers. It would be nice if the product came with with a replacement washer and gasket but it's not a perfect world.
UPDATE, Dec. 12, 2010: Starting the second winter of using this humidifier. I've discovered it's even quicker & easier to keep scale at bay if I make sure the tank does not go empty. In the morning I then unplug the unit, remove the water tank,cooling chamber & tray but leave the water in the heating chamber. I then add vinegar to the water in the heating chamber & let it set for several minutes. This loosens what little scale has formed overnight and it's easily prodded loose. I then empty & rinse the heating chamber, dry it, and the unit's ready to go. I've been using the unit this season since Thanksgiving this year & it's performing like new. I always run it on low but will probably use the high setting sometimes later in the season. If you let the tank go empty using tap water the scale build-up is much worse. I'm still very satisfied with this product.

I received an Evenflow vaporizer during my shower and thought it would help once baby & I got sick. Way to small for my room. I absolutely love this humidifier......but you can get it at Target for only $29.99 and that isn't a sale price....PLUS no shipping. I don't know why everything is just more expensive at Babies R Us, but I found this to be true with ALOT of the items that we were looking to purchase and ALOT of the people who bought us things just printed my registry off and went to either Target or Walmart to make the purchase.
