Buy Sears Kenmore 83200 GFP 4 Pk Replacement Carbon Pre-filters Large
I have a Sears air cleaner that this is advertised as a replacement prefilter for. In my opinion it is thicker and fits as well or even better than the original. Overall I think it is better than the original shipped with the product.

Best Royal Sovereign BDH-550 Dehumidifier 55 Pint Deals
The Good: The product performs as mentioned in other reviews. It is effective. I plugged it in last night and dropped the output hose into a bucket to measure the collection out of curiosity. By morning, the unit had collected nearly a gallon of water. That is the good part. The bad side is that this thing is NOISY. I read reviews on-line that said the unit is quite. I even read one that said it was as quite as an "average" fan. Lemme tell you, if your fans are that loud, it is time to change them out. This thing sounds like on older style window unit AC...seriously every bit as loud. Other reviews stated that when the pump kicked on the unit was unbearably noisy. I hate to inform anyone who doesn't know this. When you run a sump pump without any water in it to pump...it is going to be noisy. However, if you allow some water to get into the unit and allow it to work as it is supposed to, the pump is not even noticeable compared to the 747 like noise made by the fan unit. So, basically, the unit works well. Just don't plan on having any quite conversations in the same room as the dehumidifier.
I haven't had any trouble with the pump or anything like that. I always double check that the hose doesn't have anything blocking it because it will stop the dehumidifier. I would recommend calling their customer service if anyone has a problem. I called them because I thought something was wrong with the pump/hose and they just walked me through any possible reasons it wouldn't work. They were really nice and on top of everything.

Royal Sovereign bdh-550 worked great for a few months. It no longer dehumidifies and is now just an expensive fan. Repair costs are too high to merit not just buying another dehumidifier (of another brand). Think twice before purchase.Best Deals for Royal Sovereign BDH-550 Dehumidifier 55 Pint
Don't quite know how long we've had it, lost the invoice, but know it's past the warranty. The pump seems to have stopped working. Great difficulty getting customer service. Several requests from both the web page, and phone messages led to no response over several months. Finally my wife impersonated a retailer to get someone on the phone. Was told it was probably the pump, but since we did not have the receipt, warranty service could not be provided. We called the suggested local repair shop, only to learn that they were suspending warranty service because Royal Sovereign had not reimbursed them for a long time. Also learned that the expense of fixing and replacing the pump would nearly meet the cost of replacing the unit. He also said that the pumps failing was not so unusual. I've been looking to get a dehumidifier for a while and finally settled on this dehumidifier. I really like the bucketless feature because I never empty buckets of water now. Nice for my back. Also the design is nice and compact so it won't take up a lot of space.I haven't had any trouble with the pump or anything like that. I always double check that the hose doesn't have anything blocking it because it will stop the dehumidifier. I would recommend calling their customer service if anyone has a problem. I called them because I thought something was wrong with the pump/hose and they just walked me through any possible reasons it wouldn't work. They were really nice and on top of everything.

roolen Breath Ultrasonic Cool-Mist Humidifier Reviews
This is the first humidifier that I really wouldn't mind displaying around the house. It is very simplistic and minimalistic yet very functional. It is just stunningly beautiful.
Roolen Breath is an ultrasonic humidifier that knows how to adjusts itself in respect to the humidity level in your room. The dryer it is, the harder it works. If it sense humidity is just right, it puts itself on standby.
Quick specs:
World voltage operates on 100-240V, 50 to 60 Hz
Power consumption 20W
Capacity 3.15 liters (0.83 gal)
Tip:
Use filtered water preferably. You can use regular tap water but must clean it regularly to prevents sediments build-up. It is recommended to clean it every week if you use it daily.
Nothing on the front except the LED status indicator light just below the "roolen" name.

This humidifier works more quietly compared to my other humidifiers (We had a Vicks that require to replace filters regularly and humidifiers in all sort of shapes of animals). It still operates with a fan but somehow manages to keep it mum. Overall, it is a great product and I love it.

The Roolen Breath is a compact and easy to use ultrasonic humidifier.
It consists of just three parts: the reservoir tank, the mister/fan unit and the AC adapter. After filling the tank with water (slightly less than a gallon), it fiushts over the mister. A single push button cycles the Breath through four modes: standard, high, auto and standby.
Standard mode offers about 24 hours of humidifier operation, high about 12 hours. The auto mode offers 24+ hours as the machine self regulates maintaining humidity between 40-55%. The standard and high modes run continuously. I operated the breath in room considerably larger than the 400 square feet that it's designed to treat. On a blustery fall day, it raised the RH in the room from 46 to 50% in 90 minutes and to 55% after 5 hours.
When operating, a plume of cool-to-the-touch is visible about 10 to 12 inches above top of the humidifier, which as about 10 inches tall. It is very quiet in operation, and will likely not be heard over ambient sounds in even the quietest rooms.
Roolen recommends filtered water, but tap water can be used if the tank is rinsed weekly.
The Breath includes a good, complete user guide and excellent pictographs in full color printed on the carton. Less one star for no water level indicator or sight glass.

The build quality seems pretty good, which has been a sore point for me in the past with humidifiers. They never seem to last very long. While it's too early to say for sure, I'm hoping the nice construction quality translates into a long life span. I'll update this review should that not be the case.
Filling it with water is very simple just turn the "tower" portion upside down, unscrew the cap and pour the water in. It is a pretty tall unit, but it does fit under the spout in my bathroom sink. If you have a shallow sink or a low profile faucet, it may not fit. But it will certainly fit in a kitchen sink for refilling ease. The cap fits tight with zero leaks when replaced on the base unit.
It has three operational modes, all selected by a single button on the back. Low continuous, high continuous, and auto, with the latter controlled by a non user-controllable humistat. Basically the auto mode (the mode I use most of the time) will turn the humidifier off when the RH reaches a set point, usually around 55%. I found the auto setting maintained a comfortable RH level for me even though I could not set a specific RH for it to hit and maintain.
Operation is whisper quiet, making this perfect for a bedroom. You'll hear an occasional water gurgle, but it's very muted. The operation light (which shows what mode it's in, plus indicates if the water container is empty) is very small and doesn't cause a problem or become an annoyance in a dark room.
The power plug has a somewhat large "wall wart" on the end, but that seems to be unavoidable these days. It is styled nicely in a rectangular shape with rounded corners, so it's not too bad.
It is fussy with regard to water. The manual recommends filtered water, but tap water can be used if filtered water is not possible. Weekly cleaning with vinegar is recommended if you use tap water to keep the mineral build-up low (which is always a problem in pretty much any type of humidifier). The process basically entails filling it with a mix of vinegar and water, shaking, letting it sit for 20 minutes, another shake, and then drain/rinse.
This is an ultrasonic humidifier, so the water is not heated. The mist (which sort of looks like smoke) is cool to the touch. On the downside, an ultrasonic humidifier can leave white dust in the room due to the mineral content of the water (another reason not to use tap water).
A quick primer on humidifier types. A warm mist machine heats the water in a small cup. The output is warm. A cool mist machine blows air through a pad that is saturated with water. There is no visible output. A ultrasonic machine, such as this, uses ultrasonic waves to create a cool "plume" of vapor.
Each has pluses and minuses with regard to maintenance, noise level and the ability to add items to the water (such as menthol to help with colds). My favorite type is the ultrasonic. While it has the downside of potentially depositing fine white dust (which is usually minor) and lacks the ability to add mixtures to the water, the benefits are that it operates quietly, there's no danger of burning your hand if you get it right into the mist, and they tend to be the easiest to maintain since no replacement pads are needed.
Of all the ultrasonics I've used over the years, this is a real standout, and I would highly recommend it. A bit pricy, but great looks and performance.

Pictures don't do this humidifier justice. The white model I have is simply wonderful to look at. The plastic is a soft matte finish that feels good. The glossy black top makes this look like a Scandinavian design volcano. Everything about this humidifier is gentle sweet curves that are wonderful to look at. Most humidifiers are hideous; they have blue plastic tanks, ugly big controls, or are a great big box with louvers all over them. This is a thing of beauty.
Pretty would be nice, but humidifying a room is the critical thing this does. In that regard, it works spectacularly well. When the unit is running there is a beautiful white cloud emitted from the top of the unit. We all love watching this cloud it does look like the volcano is erupting (minus the lava). Controlling humidity it is right on the money. The room I'm using this in went from 43% humidity to 50% in fairly short order. It has maintained the humidity between 48 and 50% ever since. For a home humidifier, that is incredibly precise. We are just on the cusp of heating season, so it only used a gallon of water in a couple of days. I have this in a fairly large room and we have hot water heat.
The unit makes no fan noise at all when running. There is a very slight water dripping noise every once in a while. If this were in a bedroom with absolutely no other sound, you might hear the noise. Oddly, I find that water noise pleasant and relaxing. I contrast that to the fan noise of a lot of other humidifiers. Some ultrasonics also make noise with fans. This is silent.

If you use deionized or filtered water, the ultrasonic device won't have to be cleaned very often. And the glossy black top will not get white water spots on it.

The last version is ultrasonic where a metal plate is vibrated at incredibly high frequency underneath a layer of water. This creates fine water droplets that naturally rise. Some units have a fan to help blow those droplets out of the unit. These tend to be sanitary and work very well. Their down side is hard water deposits can accumulate on the ultrasonic plate and make it work less efficiently.
The Roolen humidifier is an ultrasonic unit (the generator they use looks similar to every one I've ever seen in a home humidifier. Where they win huge points is in the humidity sensing and controlling, the silent fan they use to blow the cloud out of the unit, and the incredibly beautiful design. This is just an amazing humidifier.

In beautiful piano black or white, this humidifier is both functional, and aesthetically pleasing. The tower like design keeps the unit compact and the footprint to a minimum. This would be perfect for use in a main living area or in a bedroom, and would blend with most decors. Setup is very simple out of the box. In addition to the humidifier and power supply, you will find a very easy to follow instruction booklet to get you off and running in a flash.
After filling the unit with cold water and powering the Breath on cool mist begins to gently flow from the Breath. Gentle and soothing puffs of cool moist air begin to mix into the room creating a more balanced humid environment. The Breath gives you a few good options for optimizing the humidity to your desired level; the unit features a low, high, automatic and standby feature. In terms of noise, the unit runs very quiet. A different brand of humidifier I had constantly sounded like a fan turned on so I was pleased to see this unit runs quiet and I know that can be important for those who may be light sleepers. This product makes it easy to get the humidity just right, especially heading into winter when it starts to become drier, especially in our houses.

The fabric is nice and the waterproof works, however after only using the pad for 6 months, half of the quilting stiching is coming apart. I would not recommend this mattress pad for the quality of the craftmanship. As a side note it is very difficult to track down the actual manufacturer of the pad. IT IS NOT MADE BY SERTA. It is made by LaJobi. They do not have an email to contact and I gave up waiting on hold after 30 minutes. A mom does not have 30 minutes to wait on line.
Although it was not easy to get through to their support, LaJobi is standing behind their product and sending me a new one. They did resolve my issue very well.

I purchased this as an extra mattress cover since my son is now entering the potty training stage. We already own two organic mattress covers from a more expensive label. We have had those since my son was born, and I love them. I do not feel the same about this cover. First off when I use my son's A&A sheets I can see right through them and the sheep on this mattress cover shows. Not too much of a problem, just a little annoying when I use patterned sheets and notice this clash. What really bothered me was the cheap polyester siding. I doubt this will last. I'm a repeat customer for this crib mattress cover for my 2nd son's crib. It's been a great mattress pad for my older son almost 3. Over the last few years, many many washings and stomach bugs, diaper accidents, teething drool the mattress pad has keep its shape, elastic on corners still tight, and provides a solid warm barrier between cold mattress during winter. Only downside is that it's almost too soft for a newborn. I was worried they'd not be able to breath right as a newborn till 1month+ as it was very soft vs firm. I needed the temperature in my baby's room to stay the same even though we're in a small apartment. This really did the trick. It looks great is very compact compared to other ugly large heater humidifiers AND it is both a heater and humidifier so even when it warms up in there it does feel so dry. It also has a tip over feature, which or safety is great. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is I wish you could operate the humidifer separate from the heater but you can't. Can't have it all I guess. Oh, and we have a modern looking apartment and this fits right in!

We bought this because of the humidifier feature. However, the humidifier is very hard to fill (You have to pour it in at a trickle), and the reservoir is tiny. Fortunately, neither of these things are really a problem because it takes weeks to even produce enough humidity to go through that tiny amount of water. I think you could literally just leave out a glass of water and it would evaporate faster than what this thing puts out. DON'T waste your money buying this. The heater is totally adequate, but you can find one just as good without the humidifier for one third the price. Buy a separate heater and humidifier and you'll still come out ahead and you'll have a humidifier that actually works. Seriously. I never take the time to write reviews, but this thing is a joke. I bought this heater for my husband who suffers from arthritis. He likes is extra hot in the room so we were using a space heater at night. However he started getting bad nose bleeds from the hot dry air. The SPT SH-1505 Ceramic Heater with Humidifier has stopped the nose bleeds altogether. As others have noted, filling the humidifier reservoir is confounding because one must poor so slowly. Plus, humidifier consumes full reservoir of water on low setting if run overnight. Moisture/humidity not appreciably better. "Thermostat" is nothing more than a manual switch which allows high/low/off settings.On the plus side, the heater seems to fire up quickly and the fan is very, very quiet---almost imperceptible.
I've concluded that getting separate humidifier and heater is probably a better way to go.

The heater works real good, but the heater has to run for the humidifier to work. So can't run it on high as it will shut off, but found out on low it runs all the time so I run it on low to get heat and humidity.Wes
