Single Stage Countertop Water Filter System Review

Customer Ratings:

This is our second Countertop H20 Filter. The last one worked for well over the 5 years promised. It removes that odd taste from chlorine. We change the filter cartridge about every 6 months and that is all the maintenance that is needed.

Buy Cigar Mechanic Humidification Bag

Customer Ratings:

These little beads are awesome. I replaced the gel crystals in 4 jars with 2 bags and they work great. tried refilling the brick style humidifying agent with the beads but they're to small and fall through the slots. The jars are holding my humidors at a perfect 70% humidity, and only need distilled water every 60 days or so. Great product and fast shipping.

Suffice to say up until the past week over here on the eastern seaboard, it's been extremely humid and extremely dry outside, and since I'd been out of town the week prior I had one of thirteen humidors that needed a decent boost in humidification while I was away. So I placed the order via Neptune through Amazon the Saturday before the 30th of June, it arrived a few days later, well within sufficient time before I headed north. A little background on said humidor, it's a large glass-top rosewood Savoy that has never kept a decent humidity level even with a large Diamond Crown humidifier which was empty every other week for seven+ years, and I'd seasoned it well over a dozen times; approximately a year and a half ago I had pulled the DC from the humidor and plied it with crystal jars and humisticks. They've been fluctuating the humidity between 63-78%... Not ideal at all; however after the short prep time of thirty seconds with the "nano-pearls" that are in all the Cigar Mechanic systems, that one pouch inside of a 100-150ct humidor even with the all those crystal systems has systematically isolated and regulated the humidity at a steady 72%. I think I'll be snagging at least two-dozen or so more of these bags for the rest of my humidors.

One fact not generally known is that the beads start to absorb when humidity gets above 70%. The gel only gives off humidity constantly while the beads give off humidity and when needed absorbs it back. That's it....BEADS HANDS DOWN!

Great product works as described just put the distilled water in there and let it go for a couple of months when you see the change in humidity just reapply the distilled water.

This will probably work for 10-20 cigars at most. For the price I was thinking it's way larger, others sell 1/2 lbs for that much.

Cheap 30 Pt. Dehumidifier

Customer Ratings:

Noisy but works great!

Small, portable, efficient, but way too noisy.

Dry air only goes straight up, needs an adjustable deflector to keep air circulating.

Good drain hose included.

....this will NOT hold 15 large ring gauge cigars. Holds 15 Coronas, Lonsdales, Panatellas, etc., but only 12 Robustos, Toros or Churchills. But that's fine with me as I can't imagine needing to take 15 Churchills anywhere.

Solid as a tank with two secure latches and a lanyard. Great travel accessory for any cigar smoker.

I ordered this humidor in the Spring of 2013 and I have been using it very regularly during my summer travels. I love this humidor and I didn't have any problem opening it. It holds and protects the cigars perfectly with one exception. The top row of cigars will press against the humidifier and if you use a propylene solution on the humidifier, it will get on your cigars. My solution for this is to stack the 1st and 2nd level cigars on each other and put the foam divider on top to protect them from the humidifier.

Other than that, this is a must buy for the traveling cigar smoker and it's a great price on amazon.

Does its job, good for the price, the only think I dislike is the latches pop off when you open the box. They hook right back on.

I have a hour and a half commute so a cigar to and from helps keep the stress level down. I stock the cigar caddy once a week and it does a wonderful job even with the varying conditions in my car

Customer Ratings:

I paid for regular shipping and I had my filters in about 2-3 days. Impressive. Also my HVAC company would have charged me a bunch more for the same filters. Great service. SHould consider creting an auto ship service to help us to remember to change our filters every 6 months.

Filter worked fine once correct one was received. Company accidentally sent wrong filter. They quickly sent right one and that one fit fine.

Four years ago, I bought a bunch of these air filters for our forced air heater/ furnace from Climate Doctors via the Amazon web site. My daughter has strong dust allergies and, when these filters are changed a couple of times per year, they seem to work well.

I am now in the re-ordering mode and looking to buy some more of the same. The Climate Doctors supplier sent the filters without any problems and they worked as well as can be expected. So, I plan to go back to them again. I will let you know if things have changed and the supplier does not deliver.
