I purchased this as a replacement wick to a new heater, purchased at the begining of this winter season. The wick stopped working very quickly and just seemed like a poor wick. I followed the book direction for replacement and this wick has burned evenly and put out good heat. Seems like this wick will last a lot longer than the original.

We have used several types of humidifiers in different dwellings. Cabinet styles with a rotating drum. Those emitting a mist. Even a built-in system with a gas furnace. This Venta system is the best of all. It is whisper quiet, easy to refill, and seems capable of humidifying an area much larger than the rated 800 sq ft. We keep ours next to one of the main vents into the central part of our house heated by a heat pump and the entire house seems comfortable. Strongly recommended.

The stand is subpar at best. The instructions for assembly leave a lot to the imagination...I had an interesting experience putting it together and it just looks so rickety. I found securing the the rubber washer to be a pain and experienced leaking water. The item doesn't produce adequate mist...just a little dribble. Save your money and do not buy this item..I wish I hadn't.

My husband bought this for my birthday. He put it together, says pretty easy. We both agree not stable. Not a lot of mist, some fog. I have to say, my husband bought it and it was suppose to be the best they have. The product is beautiful when put together we both thought it would have more mist and fog like they told us it would. It is beautiful.

This filter is a perfect replacement for the OEM filters at half the cost. They do not have the aluminum edges that the OEM filters have but that doesn't matter.

Like others have said, make sure you get all you need to install this right. The EP-036 only works with the Hamilton Humidifier Model 10 HF. Hamilton has their own web site (hamiltonhomeproducts.com) where you can find the product manuals and pictures of what the real product looks like with it's side rails. It is important that the pad be inserted in the right direction (black mark at the top on the original product) so the water flows through the pad correctly.

I've also had to replace the solenoid on my unit twice now, and I replace the pad each year but it continues to work great. It makes the whole house feel warmer, totally does away with static shocks, and helps to keep the hardwood floors in my house in great shape.

My previous filters had no metal frame. This one came with metal around it with perforations. I thought the perforations would work fine but like another reviewer, I found water all over my floor around the furnace. After removing the metal frame and putting the un-framed filter back in, it works great. This is very hard to find and I'd buy another. Hope this helps cross references these filters (as far as I know): EP036, 10HF, H7504, RH7504, FH-182.
