I received the filters with NO packaging, no label not sure what company that they came from. Did not look like real Holmes filters. In fact, they looked like they were cut from a larger piece. I returned these and ordered directly through another online filter retailer.

HWF23CS Holmes Humidifier Replacement Filter (2 Pack) Review
Filters came in nothing but the outer mailer bag. They honestly look like a larger filter that were cut down to size rather than an actual true replacement. Doesn't have the benefit of color change portion of filter to let you know when it needs changed-like the original filter that came with humidifier had. Once placed in humidifier water did not wick up filter thus not allowing it to work properly.

Review of Xikar Humidifier Solution 16 oz.
I have had some problems with other cigar juice, and this seems to hold the humidity better than others. Especially in colder and dyer houses. I have a brand new home and humidity is very low and it is actually affecting the humidor. this juice seems to work the best for my situation

As as an avid smoker, keeping my cigars at the perfect humidity is very important. This product is perfect and does the job well. Unfortunatly the shipping packaging has a lot to be desired and the bottle barely made it to me and dented on the bottom, although no liquid was spilled. Im writing this comment in hope of improved packaging from the shipper and we can all be happy in the end.Many Thanks!

Received package quickly, but when I opened the bottle to use it, I found the security seal was broken. This makes me question whether the contents are genuine product, or may have been tampered with. Overpriced when compared to the generic Ethylene Glycol available on amazon. This stuff comes pre-mixed, so you're not supposed to add any water to it. It's very convenient, especially when used with Xikar's crystals/humidifiers. However, for the same price, you can get a lot more full-strength Ethylene Glycol here on Amazon.Saturday, May 3, 2014

Humidifiers can be the answer for a good nights winter sleep. The Black & Decker Ultrasonic Humidifier is easy to use and has an attractive design, but it is limited to smaller rooms. Another interesting feature is that this humidifier has a built in LED night light (which can be turned on or off).
Notes-
Two settings although I can't tell too much of a difference between the two
I do like the built in night light it is a small LED light, but it provides a fair amount of light... and it looks pretty cool through the water
It really is designed for a small room I would guess it is limited to about a 120sq ft
I wish that the reservoir was larger since it only holds about 8 hours of water (measured in run time).
It does have a bit of a high pitch hum some people may find it to be annoying.

Final Verdict I like the Black & Decker Ultrasonic Humidifier, but it does have a few areas for improvement. I wish it was a little larger and had the ability to be used in bigger rooms. However, with its built night light the Back & Decker Table Top Ultrasonic Humidifier is perfect for a child's room.

1) It's truly made for small spaces -like wee apartments, townhomes, and houses with small bedrooms, and MY house.
2) It has ONE button. I LOVE it! (RSD makes it difficult to differentiate between small buttons, when I'm flared. ONE button makes things soooo much easier.)
3) It has a "soft" nightlight. (I really like this feature a lot, actually.)
4) It's ideal for a baby's or child's room, *because* it's so small and quiet.
5) It's small enough to be portable and is perfect for trips to Grandma's house -or any other place where you need a little more moisture in the air.
6) It's well designed, AND it does *exactly* what it's designed to do.
CONS:
1) Because it IS made for small spaces, the reservoir just doesn't cut it in larger rooms -even on HIGH.
2) "Table Top" doesn't mean it SHOULD be used on *all* surfaces. I use mine only on the counters top of my bedroom vanity and kitchen, and on the glass top of my side table.
3) It has a Whine. It's not bad Whine -it's so quiet that some people won't even be able to hear it at all; but it *does* disturb my neighbor's dog, who is very sensitive to sound. (My Service Dog doesn't seem to mind it at all. It must be a Dog Thing.) The sound doesn't bother me. It seems to fade into the white noise of my nights...

NOTE: I use R/O water in my humidifiers for longer life. Water in the High Desert is chuck-full of minerals and heavy metals. It's not good for anybody or anything to ingest.
I recently got a much larger Vornado 1.8 Gal. Evap3 Evaporative Vortex Humidifier fan driven humidifier for the master bedroom. I thought this one might work well in the smaller bedroom, it does. This is an ultrasonic device meaning unlike the Vornado you don't have a fan and you actually see the steam. It is quieter than the Vornado on that one's higher speeds but on low on the Vornado the two are equally quiet. This one can run at the higher speed with no noticeable noise increase. At the low speed you get about eight hours of use on the loaded water tank. About half or so less on high speed.
It's a bit messy to refill the tank. I still can't do it without getting wet. You need to take the tank to a faucet turn it over remove the screw cap and fill it with water. Since the top comes to a point with the directional thingy, it's a balancing act and water gets to places other than inside the tank. The Vornado has a larger flat bottom tank so it's a neater job. This B&D is less than half the price and doesn't use consumable filters. They include a long brush to wipe the vaporizer. You do need to periodically rinse the tank with a vinegar mixture. Overall it's low maintenance for such a product.
The noise level is very low but some may not want it right near your head on your bed. It does make a slight buzzing like sound. There is also a night light. The main switch cycles through the two speeds and light on or off. I think it does a good job for a small bedroom and may fit your needs at a reasonable price.

My husband and I recently purchased this humidifier to put in our bedroom hoping it would help us sleep. It is so quiet you cant even tell its on. A full tank will last all night and it is nice and compact so it fits perfectly on a nightstand of dresser. It has a low and high setting and a nightlight option. We are so pleased with it, we did our looking and this was the best price and had the best reviews. It is in our family room, and you would hardly now that it is there. It is a little smaller, so one tank will last about 12 hours when the humidifier is on high. It pus out a nice, steady flow of moisture. It looks contemporary and fits on the top of our low bookshelf without being obvious. Review of LG Ld650eal 65 Pint Dehumidifier Auto Shut-off External Drain
Purchase this Dehu a a year and a half ago, somewhat impressed with the dehumidification capacity (it removed alot of moisture from the air) but the product did not last more than a year and half, called LG support to inquire about the letters "CH" being displayed but they were really no help, said i would have to carry in for service. This product should have lasted much longer, now i'm in the market for another machine.

This unit started to drain improperly after only a few weeks of use. When the seller was contacted it took them more weeks to even begin to address the issue and only then by my repeated contact for a solution. In the meantime I replaced the unit from a local source as I still had a need for it's originally intended use. By the time REFURB KING contacted me they gave me only a few days to respond within my 90 day warranty and have it shipped back my costs 33.00. Amazon will not guarantee any product after 15 days, from then you are under the seller's warranty. So Basically I paid $33.00 to have their product fail to function properly and cause damage to my home. This machine is extremely heavy. Had many hopes for it bc my last one (Danby) broke after just a few years. Purchased a refurbished one. It seems that it is a bit temperamental bc if you don't close it "just the right way" it will not come on. And to close it the right way, is somewhat difficult .
