Mini Max Aroma Diffuser/Air Revitalizer and Humidifier - WHITE Review
First I think it is very much over priced. In this case quality and price were not directly proportional. There are units at less than half the price that are of equal, or better quality. The unit arrived three days after the expected arrival date range from "As Seen on TV". I should have know better then to buy from them. Based on what I have seen in stores these products are of low quality and people who are heavy TV user are probable mesmerized into buying this stuff. If you are use to low noise and light levels don't buy this product. It makes a bubbling nose like a cat licking itself excessively and it has a blue light that is very distracting. If you overlook the above it does do what it says.

Old Mountain 10129 Pre-Seasoned 2-Quart Cast Iron Tea Kettle Review
A good kettle for adding humidity to the air on top of a woodstove. Do not buy this for drinking (tea, etc...) it was not made for that; it develops an interior rust crust after about a week. I would buy this again for my woodstove.
I guess the inside is not treated because it rusts pretty badly. The outside, however, stays nice and black. Also, it is pretty heavy to move so we have been taking a cup of water TO the stove to fill the kettle, instead of bringing the kettle to the sink.

This was a good buy for us. We live in Wisconsin and have a woodburning stove in our house. The kettle makes a noticeable difference and makes the air less dry. It also looks nice because it matches our black stove.I guess the inside is not treated because it rusts pretty badly. The outside, however, stays nice and black. The kettle arrive quickly and in good shape. While I originally wanted a larger kettle, I have to admit that this one is easier to handle than my old one. It says that it is pre-seasoned, but it began to rust inside immediately and even shows rust aroun the rim under the lid. One good thing about cast iron, though, is you don't have to worry about it boiling dry as you do with other kettles.Honest reviews on Old Mountain 10129 Pre-Seasoned 2-Quart Cast Iron Tea Kettle
happy with product, was at a good price. i use it on my woodstove as a humidifierFind helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Old Mountain 10129 Pre-Seasoned 2-Quart Cast Iron Tea Kettle
Like other reviews I experienced rust boiling water as instructed. Had to season it myself -not sure it was ever seasoned. Made in china. Don't trust the production standards there. Could have been painted for all I know. Good for use as a decorator item and humidity source with a wood burning stove. However, it will rust if used as a humidity source. I won't drink anything from it.Monday, August 4, 2014

If you own a Stadler Form humidifier that uses these cartridges, they are essential to reducing the white dust that forms in your household when using an ultrasonic humidifier. They do not clear up the problem entirely. Dusting is still necessary. The only thing better is going to the expense of purchasing or making your own distilled water. Secondly, the cartridge creates a slime-like residue in the water chamber of the humidifier that's another cleaning chore. These cartridges are not inexpensive (even at Amazon pricing)probably because of the nice plastic housing. Depending on the hardness of your water, and if you use your Stadler Form humidifier constantly, you will be spending between $90-180 a year on cartridges, a not insubstantial sum.
This is a must if you use an ultrasonic humidifier. If you don't change the filter you will get white dust. The best way to test if you need to change the filter is to put a mirror up to the mist and see if you get white dust on the mirror.
If you own a Stadler-Form humidifier, this filter will work for you.

I use this with the Stadler-Form William ultra sonic Humidifier. You are suppose to soak this in water for 24 hours before first use. If you have soft natural water, it will last up to 60 days. If you have very hard water it will last about 10 days. All of this is assuming you run a full tank each night. This is a must if you use an ultrasonic humidifier. Put new one in and still have white dust all over. Doesn't thread on as easy as the original one with the unit.Wednesday, June 25, 2014

The installation on this product was pretty straight forward. The only problem I find is when the water solonoid is turned on there is no "flow" control over the water going in to the humidifier media and there is a LOT of wasted water. After using this a month I found it DOUBLED my water bill because of all the wasted water down the drain. I have since disconnected this humidifer because I don't need to spend that type of money going down the drain. It would be nice if there was some type of float device that would fill up and the meter the water in to the media and be used instead of pouring water down the drain.
As for the other reviews indicating the massive water waste, they are not installing this properly. Any central humidifier (as in mounted to a furnace) needs the control wires to be tied into the heating circuit on the control board. In fact, most newer furnaces if not all of them also have contacts for landing the 110V wires on so that it can only run during a heating cycle (usually marked "HUM"). Set up properly, this unit will not use that much water. Running this humidifier when the furnace is not in a heating cycle (not just the fan running, but actually heating) is a complete waste of power and waternot to mention how much faster you will wear out the pads.
During the winter when quests come over they all notice the lack of static electricity along with the fact the air just feels better and it's easier to breathe.

We have had this for two years now. It worked well in the first year as we saw a significant reduction of static in the house in the winter. We saw a lot of water drain, just like the first reviewer. The second year did not go well as I noticed the fan running and no water flowing. I had to drain the water line and take apart the flow assembly to clean it to get the water to start to flow. It has been trickling and I have to say it is not running like it did in the first year. I'm trying to see if a little TLC might help it along and we get more use out of it.Best Deals for General Aire 1137 Legacy Series Power Humidifier
I've done commercial and residential heating and air since '97 and have installed literally 100s of these, maybe more. Truth be told there is no difference between this and the other powered humidifiers. They all work off the same principle. These are very easy to service and simple to install and are my favorite just because parts are easy to get. The media pads are available all over the web as well as most hardware stores. As for the other reviews indicating the massive water waste, they are not installing this properly. We've had this unit for over 10 years, aside from changing the filter it's been maintenance free. A proper installation will include a airflow microswitch that turns the on the fan and allows water flow only when the heater's blower is on. If you don't have this then your installation is not complete and you'll waste a lot of water. During the spring and summer I unplug the unit, shut the water supply off to it and remove and clean the filter compartment which is easy to do.During the winter when quests come over they all notice the lack of static electricity along with the fact the air just feels better and it's easier to breathe.
