The filters arrived in the shipping box without any additional packaging. They are not even in a plastic bag. You will need to get a container to store your spare filters. I suppose you can keep it in the shipping box until use.

Ordered this thinking since it was compatible with "BCM4510" it would work with my humidifier but it wouldn't fit in my Bionaire BCM4510-h

I had bought my previous replacement filters retail. The replacement filters I purchased from Amazon are identical to the retail filters but at a much lower cost!

This product was as described. unfortunately i believe this wick is made to fit numerous different products. it was slightly oversized and needed to be "manipulated" to fit. this should not deter another potential customer. just know some minor alterations may need to be done. such as using a scissors to cut of excess material.

The wick does a great job of soaking up water to be distributed through a humidifier. i find mine going through about a gallon or more a day. pretty good!

I use mine for humidification purposes only. It sits on an out of the way place in my bedroom. I run it at max speed and usually change the tanks every day and a half. I have no problem filling the two tanks, even though I have arthritis in my fingers. Since I don't clean the unit until the tanks are empty, I have no problem with lifting the entire unit when it comes time to clean. The only thing that would have made this product better would be one that needed to be cleaned less often. The cleaning issue applies to all humidifiers, so this is just ordinary maintenance.

They must have had a contest at Vicks to see who could design a humidifier that would frustrate consumers the most. And this one was the winner.

It has several hidden areas that contain water, most of which are impossible to dry, drain, and clean. The thing is huge, heavy, and nearly impossible to get a grip on. If you thought you were going to keep this on a night table, I hope you have a table the size of a coffee table. We ended up keeping it on the floor and tripping over it.

I'd purchased this to replace one of those dinky little old-fashioned plastic humidifiers -you know, a tank with a little top with a vent. Mine was about 10 years old, and looking shabby. What a mistake! The little one did a much better job of providing steam, and was a breeze to refill and clean.

Bottom line: A waste of $100. Go to the drugstore, buy a $15 plastic one, and replace it in a year or two if it looks shabby.

Excellent case. I carry it in my EDC bag and now have no risk af damaging my smokes. It also has a cool factor to it. Coworkers all want to examine it and I noticed this week one of them suddenly appeared with a black one. If you enjoy cigars and work or play in harsh environments this thing is just the ticket. If you are a large ring gauge person the case gets tight if you plan on carrying 5 sticks. I typically carry two or three, my Xikar cutter and a torch in it. I love it and recommend this case.

Highly recommended. This product does what it says and I really love the camo digital. The only annoying thing is the plastic hanger...doesnt have a real function...but over all great.

Just as adverstised. Works great and is just what I needed. The latches tend to pop off, but they do go right back into place. Other than that it works great.

I purchased one of these recently on Woot for $130. Terrible purchase.

1) Way overpriced. As a fan, it's worth about $30.

2) The mister does not really work it does not create a "mist" like you'd expect it's barely more than a glorified humidifier, worth about $20.

3) The total value then is about $50.

ALSO: the design leaves much to be desired unstable and easy to tip over, casters do not stay in place and fall out, and the biggest joke is the DISPLAY which is this utterly annoying flashing LED display as if it were the speedometer of a car 0 really annoying and there's no way to turn the display off.

Also, the units power switch only affect the fan, but no the mister to turn the mister off you have to shut it off separately. And the front panel controls are poorly laid out and it is very difficult to read what each one it. The layout make no sense whatsoever.

In short, very little though has gone into this product. It is definitely NOT worth the $150 being charged here on Amazon.

works great in the desert, humidity under 6

Works great in Desert, under 6% humidity. Not a wet mist, just a cooling mist, but don't think would be good in higher humidity, over 15%. Been 110dg 3% humidity, really helps.

I love this humidifier!! My daughter has asthma and it helps her a lot! I love how you can actually see it working! I recommend it! Enjoy the fact that it doesn't have a filter to buy.

Just finally getting to use it and the humidifier has too many parts to clean & every time we change it -to add more water it drips water everywhere!! It is a very poor design! But is cute! AND I bought it on amazon through AmericaRx and they do not let you return anything that you have opened….so I will not be buying anything from AmericaRx again!!! I would recommend you not get it BUT if you must buy it –buy it in a store that you can return it if you do not like it!

Prestige Import Group Drymistat Humidifier Tubes Review

Customer Ratings:

I own a 50 cigar humidor and keep my humidor stocked. While adding and using different cigars almost daily it is hard to maintain a steady humidity level. I was constantly playing around with the sponge style humidor until I purchased the drymistat humidor tube a month ago and have not added any liquids to the tube at all and have had a consistent humidity with all the exchanging of cigars. Highly recommended stop playing around with those sponges.

These are incredible. Only thing is they are overpacked with crystals. Wet them and when they bloat remove whatever overflows. Do it a few times and you will find it works even better. Eventually you will not be able to tell that there are not seperate crystals until they start to dry out. This will tell you when it is time to wet them again. Save the crystals and when the used ones become brown throw them away and replace them with the ones you saved.

Discount BWF100 Bionaire Humidifier Wick Filter (3 Pack)

Customer Ratings:

{NOTE: the Holmes HWF100 & Bionaire BWF100 are interchangeable}

I bought a bionaire humidifier that uses 2 of these wicks. They're a necessary evil, because the humidifer wont work without them.

My humidifier (a Bionaire BCM645) is basically a glorified self-refilling water bowl, with a pair of wicks dangling down into the water in the lower backside of the unit ... the wicks absorb water upwards, and the humidifier (basically a vertical tube with an exhause fan up up equipped with a humidistat) draws airflow in crosswise through the body of the wicks down below in order to blow humidified air out the top ... it's a simple design that sorta works.

The problem is that mineral deposits build up in these glorified (and overpriced) sponges, and they lose their ability to wick water upwards fast enough to keep up with the rate of evaporation ... the result is that they become dried out and crusty (and slowly stained with mildew), and only stay wet on the part that's dipped in the water.

Now, here's the annoying part, and why I only gave this product 3 of 5 stars ... they're needlessly fragile by design. The manufacturer WANTS you to keep reguloarly buying replacement sponges, just like inkjet printer manufacturers want to keep selling you overpriced ink cartridges. Even though I have fairly soft water, and use a carbon block filter, these wicks only seem to last me about 2 weeks per pair, by default, before they lose their ability to absorb/wick moisture and/or fall apart. Perhaps someday someone will make longer-lasting reuseable cloth replacement filters, but as of this writing, there dont appear to be any available ... because it's against the manufacturer's fiscal interests to make and sell such.

You can save money 2 ways:

1) SHOP AROUND: you can save as much as 50% by shopping around for the cheapest supplier, and scoffing at any implied manufacturer product loyalty. How ? The replacement filters for Holmes (HWF100) and Bionaire (BWF100) are functionally identical and interchangeable. They come 6 to a package (3 pairs).

2) RINSING: These wicks are rather fragile resist the urge to wring them out when rinsing them, or you'll damage them. Instead, fill a sink with body-temperature water, let them soak for 5-10 mins (to let the deposits soften & par-dissolve), then gently press them flat (while submerged) a few times. Then drain them (dont wring them) and reinstall. That should extend their performance by another week or so. Each subsequent rinse will yeild only half the benefit though. At best, you'll be able to double their lifespan.

Bottom line: I dont really recommend these wicks ... but if your humidifier requires them, there isnt much choice. However, if you use the tips I listed above, you can save up to half the cost, and make them last as much as twice as long.

I did not buy this item. But I did want those who use Bionaire humidifiers to know that there are new filters available.

Holmes replacement filter HWF100 can be used in place of this item and is available from several sellers (at a lower price than this used item) including Amazon which currently offers free shipping.

I ordered these filters for my humidifier because last time I bought the knock-off brand filters and they only lasted a very short period of time. My humidifier takes two of these filters at once... the first thing that disappointed me was receiving 3 filters... I for some reason assumed this listing meant you receive a 3-pack as in "3 replacements worth"... but I was wrong, you actually get 3 filters when you buy this. For me, this is dumb, because my humidifier takes two of them, so I'm left with an extra filter... now I have to buy another 3-pack to make it even.

The other thing that is a little weird is that this seller "cd_cellar4" doesn't include the original packaging when they ship these filters, you just get 3 filters stuck in an envelope, so there's no definitive way to be sure you received true Bionaire-brand filters, and not another knock-off brand. And, the postage they paid to ship the filters is clearly marked as $1.90 on the package, even though you get charged $4.49.

Honest reviews on BWF100 Bionaire Humidifier Wick Filter (3 Pack)

I've had an impossible time finding replacement filters for my humidifier, and this was another failed attempt. The filters that I received do not look like the one that is pictured the ones I received are clearly a cheaper version and do not have the little round blue tab that is meant to lock the filter into the humidifier. They don't quite fit into my humidifier I shoved them down in there to make it work because I didn't want to mess with returning them. I won't buy these filters again and won't buy another Bionaire humidifier (why make a product if you're not also going to make replacement filters for it????)

My Bionaire humidifier is not new. I've been happy with it for about 3 years. But once I ran through the filters that came with it, I found I had trouble getting replacements. For awhile I could buy them at a local store, and then when they stopped carrying them I tried the internet. I bought some through Bionaire, but that was a hassle. So I was very happy to find that I could buy them through and I've had no problems since except maybe that they appear to be 'off brand' rather than Bionaire filters.
