Cheap HDC-411 Emerson Humidifier Wick Filter (2 Pack)

I bought these last year for half the price of the HDC-411, but set them aside as soon as I saw that these were NOT Emerson/Essicks HDC-411. Caught with a need to suddenly switch my Emerson humidifier's filters, I've now used them and they STINK!

PROS:

None at all, as in "Golly, these are worthless junk, but at least I save a couple bucks!"

CONS:

Weak won't stand up or support the funnel shroud.

Flimsy not enough material to draw up and hold lots of water the way the Emerson filters work.

Cheaply made instead of layers of fan-fold impressed filter media, this is a cheap stamping of just

a few layers of thin filter paper laminated on each side of thin aluminum core sheets.

Short-lived: I'm used to getting 75-90 days use out of Emerson/Essick HDC-411 filters, but these fail in

JUST TWO WEEKS!! The problem is LACK OF MATERIAL.

Save your money and shell out for the real thing (look closely at the photos and watch out for trick words like "Aftermarket", which often means that the product has NOTHING to do with the product you want!

The filter is very different from the one I have been using. The replacement fits and is working to date. I have yet to determine its performance.

This is perfect for bedside use. It's virtually silent, it gives a great falling asleep experience with only three drops of oil, it's easy to clean, and it looks cool.

I've tried many other options over the years. A mini crockpot (ineffective at diffusing aroma, uses a lot of oil), a thermal diffuser with the little pads (have to keep buying pads, inefficient at dispersing aroma), and a popular fairly expensive diffuser with flashing lights, annoying beeps, and a noisy fan. That one might have been suitable in a big spa room, but not a bedroom.

I am so much happier with this one. It should win some kind of design award.

This little black diffuser seems to be working well so far and I appreciate that it does not stick out like a sore thumb on my counters (it looks like a small mortar bowl, minus the pestle). That being said, I would have loved a little more volume in the vapors. However, it does produce a fair amount, lasts several hours with one fill, and seems to be effective in getting the essential oils dispersed.

Overall... good design and value for the money!

It works consistentlybut it is quite small and does not truly infuse a room with the essential oil aroma. Not enough that I can notice anyway.

it IS small. don't plan on its mist to cover an entire family room or open floor plan home. great for bedrooms or small offices. it doesn't heat the oils, so the therapeutic quality is not destroyed. the little thing runs for like 21 hours straight on ONE fill-up if you use the timer setting. (on 10 minutes, off 20) It's still going when we wake up each morning. cute little design, not so bulky or gaudy like some i've seen. great product for the money. i may buy a second one for my husband's office.

There are dozens of 1099-20 replacements out there, and they all fit, they all work, even though the designs vary quite a bit.

This one is the best I have tried (out of 7 or 8 different ones over the years). It has no frame. It has I think the greatest surface area of any of the ones I have tried. It saturates thoroughly.

The only data I have to back these observations up this pad got my house over 50 per cent relative humidity last Winter. We have never gotten better than 45 per cent before.

At twice the price of the cheapest ones, it's worth it.

Replace your pad every year.

Bemis 1980 Replacement Bottle Caps (2 Pack) Reviews

The caps did not fit the bottles on my Bemis 497-300 humidifier. They looked like they would fit but the thread size was wrong. The caps I was sent had four crenelation-gaps around the edge, whereas the ones on my unit (and the ones in the photo) only have two gaps or notches. I contacted the vendor and was told that they "should" fit. Ultimately I had to return these and order from another source and those did work. The vendor did give me a full refund but I was out the cost of shipping back the misrepresented item.

I installed this product the day I received it and was pleasantly surprised. It worked better than the originals. I used to run the humidifier 24/7. Now I only run it 3 days a week to get the same results. Needless to say I am very pleased.

These filters are essential if you use a large console humidifier. Having extras on hand is a good idea, too. I wasn't able to find filters readily available locally, and the price was astronomical. These filters were reasonably inexpensive. They're made better than the OEM filters, and they arrived quickly and in perfect condition.

Received when estimated. I was hoping purchasing on Amazon would be almost as quick as going to the store to purchase, but it was no where close. If you need it in a hurry, go to local home improvement store. If you want to purchase a few in bulk for having around the house, buy on amazon, a lot cheaper.
