Giving it 4 stars only because it seems that the Vicks folks could think of a little bit better design. I'm assuming this filter works in several other styles of humidifiers but, it does it job. We have well water and I strongly suggest the Protec balls that you can stick inside the water to take to extend the quality of the water.

I have a cool mist humidifer in both my bedroom as well as my children's room and we go through quite a few filters running them every night of the year. one of the problems with Humidifier filters is that a lot of brands claim they can fit any brand. I have discovered this isn't true. So when I found the brand I need at the right price, I jumped on it. even with shipping these are cheaper then most brick and mortar stores.
