Best RLF1103 Aluminum Metal Mesh Filter with Light Lens Deals
After moving into our home a few months ago, I noticed how filthy, greasy, and just plain GROSS the mesh filter was above our stove. I looked in to replacing it and found the RLF1125 filter, and without an owner's manual with my appliance to order the exact replacement, I crossed my fingers and placed my order (after measuring the dirty one and comparing it to the measurements described for the new filter). It fits perfectly, but for a reason I can't determine, it won't click into place like the old filter. However, with some careful adjusting, the filter has stayed in position and looks exceptionally better than the original one. The light that shines onto my stove top is now brighter and clearer too... a bonus!

Buy Austin Air Healthmate Air Purifers
I am very sensitive to chemicals. I give the HealthMate Plus credit for saving my life. With it in my home I can handle odors and chemicals from other apartments and the outside.
Mine has been thru neighbors painting, and remodeling. I did have a break down with it and the warranty was honored. They even put an emergency tag on the repair so it was repaired faster.
The newer ones are so much more quieter than the old ones. When I got mine back from the factory I was constantly putting my hand on it to see if it was running. It was just so quiet.
This is one of the first items that I recommend for a chemically sensitive person to buy.
When the box arrived all I had to do was lift the box off and plug it in. It was so well packed I was impressed.
We particularly like two additional features. First, the white noise on the high setting is perfect for a baby. Second the compact size fits well into our nursery without becoming a fixture in the room.

The unit works well but has some design flaws that could be added such as: a variable speed control to adjust the speed (sound) beyond just the three choices, the outlet could be adjustable so you could direct the flow of the air wiout moving the unit, the strength of the casing could be stronger so that if somene accidentially sits on it that would not be a problem (got kids?), and the manufacturing company could bother to answer their emails and cold write you back (which they don't) with a confirmation so that you *know* they have received your warranty registration online. I would buy the unit again and wanted another unit, but since the company did not answer back my emails when I had questions about an other use for an additional one I did not bother to buy the second one. So far I don't feel the manufacturer cares much about their customers and hope there will be no problems when I have to deal with them in the future.Best Deals for Austin Air Healthmate Air Purifers
After much research and debate, I decided to go with this purifier because it was an Austin that I could afford and it seemed like the Austin brand was the most reliable. I actually purchased the pink version because it was on sale and then spray painted it. It is great. The air in my bedroom smells much fresher, and the lowest setting is very quiet and not at all disturbing. It's easy to maintain and you don't have to worry about ion particles. I'm delighted that I purchased this and I would do it again.Honest reviews on Austin Air Healthmate Air Purifers
We purchased the Austin air filter for our baby's nursery. We live in a condo with no outside air circulation so we wanted something to cycle the air, remove dander from our dog, and eliminate household odors. This product has met our expectations and gone a step further. We particularly like two additional features. First, the white noise on the high setting is perfect for a baby. Second the compact size fits well into our nursery without becoming a fixture in the room.

This product does exactly what it proposes. We have noticed an immediate cleaner and purifier living space in our bedroom. I run it on low each night when we go to sleep. We always wake up more refreshed and with non stuffy noses. I'd highly recommend this product for a bedroom or baby's room.Saturday, May 24, 2014
Medisana HAH1500 Personal Humidifier Review
This is the kitschiest humidifier I've owned, replete with a phallic-shaped aquarium (at least you can turn off the blue light), but it's also pretty practical. Set-up time is nil, it's as easy to fill as a water glass, and it really kicks out the vapor for the better part of a night. It's not completely silent but quiet enough for me. The only thing not to like might be the power adapter--another one of those monstrous and heavy pieces of metal that will monopolize your wall outlets or power strip. Also, beware of variable prices. Medisana appears to get an extra twenty bucks for the item when it's marketed as an aromatherapy rather than a humidifying device. (Simply add a few drops of your favorite scent.)

We bought this for our nursery b/c it is difficult to regulate the temp in our son's room. We kept it on low heat/humidify, but one problem is w/o an auto-shutoff, it would get so warm in the room that we would have to turn the unit on and off throughout the night to keep the temp decent. We only used it for 2-3 weeks before we returned it and bought an auto-shutoff unit and separate humidifier. Within that timeframe, our electric bill went from $50 a month to $116!!!
Another issue is the heat and humidity kind of work against each other: the heating unit is on the bottom and the humidifier is on the top, so when the cool mist comes out, the heat that's rising seems to evaporate the mist b/c it never actually feels 'humid' in the room (and it's a smaller room).
For the price, I definitely would not recommend this product it would be better on your wallet to simply get an auto-shutoff unit and separate humidifier...
Envion customer service is very poor.
The humidifier uses a wicking mechanism. The "wick" rotates vertically and the moisture it absorbs from the water container then gets blown into the air by the fan. The controls are easy to understand and you can use just the heater or just the humidifier, or both together.
The water container holds enough water for easily a 24-hour period if you run the humidifier constantly. You can simply top off the water container each day, but eventually you need to empty it and clean it because the water does get cloudy. This, I assume, is from the impurities in the air that get trapped on the wick and then deposited in the water as the wick passes through it. The wick is easy to remove for cleaning and can be washed by hand or in the washing machine. You can order extra wicks from the manufacturer.
All in all, the Humidiheat does everything it says it does and at a very fair price.

I bought this product a year and half ago. The product worked good until I needed to get a new wick and lower roller due to roller breakeage. And then the problem started. Called Envion customer service and ordered the two items. When received, the wick was almost an inch wider then the old one, to the point that it rubbed the sides of the unit. The rollers arived as two upper rolers and not one upper and one lower. Called back talked to a supervisor who promissed to send the corrected items. Today the new wick arrived. It is the same larger size as before The rollers still has not arrived. This is going on two months and I still can't usr the unit.Envion customer service is very poor.

Died with no replacement parts available. $125 down the drain. Worked we'll until now, but it seems a bit overpriced for what it doesHonest reviews on Humidiheat Heater/Humidifier
This is our second season using the Humidiheat humidifier/heater/air washer. We researched quite a few humidifiers last winter and we're very happy we settled on this one. We use this in our bedroom and it has proven to be more than adequate. Our primary need was for a humidifier, so the fact that this is also a heater and air washer are the icing on the cake. To compare the air purifying qualities of this appliance to that of a stand-alone air purifier would be silly, but the fact that it does clean the air to some degree is impressive for what this is.The humidifier uses a wicking mechanism. I love this, it's low maintenance and it warms my kitchen up in no time in the mornings. It's quiet and I don't have to lug any big heavy water tanks to fill it.Sunday, February 9, 2014

Filter seemed slightly longer than necessary and the mineral filter material on the ends of the plastic frame it sits in causes the ends of the filter to bunch up on the air intake side. While the combs separate the filter on the other side, it bunches up on the air intake side. I think the combs should be on the intake side to optimize air flow across the filter media, but I didn't design the filter. (The plastic frame can be reversed in the filter box but then the removal handle is not accessible to remove the plastic frame due to the metal guides which fit into groves in the plastic frame).Best Deals for Rps Products Sg4 Bestair High Efficiency Furnace Filter - Quantity
