My duck looks great on my wood stove but the steam builds up and drips out of his neck, maybe the holes for is nose is to small. I think I might try and make them bigger.a good looking steamer just wish it had more vents. It's hard to determine how much humidity it is releasing.

Reviews of Autoflo 40ep Autoflo Humidifier Replacement Filter
What can I say--it is a metal filter for a humidifier. Appears to be good quality, same as the original one in the humidifier. Fits in the plastic frame. What I expected.

Review of Desktop Humidor Cigar
Customer Ratings:
List Price: $39.95
Sale Price: $28.19
Today's Bonus: 29% Off

Ok, first off the price advertised is $19.95 but when I checked out the price was $22.95, $3 difference but I still went with it.
The box arrived and considering the cost I was somewhat impressed with what I recieved. The construction was good and the lid fit fairly well. When I allowed the lid to go down slowly it wouldn't close all the way, I needed to push on it which impressed me. Since I didn't have much in this one I decided to see how air tight it really was and filled it up with water (not recommended) and began tipping it on edge. The water of course began to leak out in several places but I let it have a good soaking for about 25 minutes. I dumped out the water and let it dry in the sun with the lid open (inside the house, next to a window. This raised the hairs on wood and created a much tighter seal. I lightly sanded the interior compartment with 00 steel wool and filled it up with water again. Same treatment, sun dried then light sanding on the interior but this time I had very few drops leak out of the box so it sealed up much better.
I checked out the gauge while the water treatments where being conducted and I ended up throwning it in the trash after a few attempts at calibration. The instructions say the variation is %5 +/-, mine was closer to 15% when placed inside a good humidor with a known humidity. I would attempt adjustments and still ended up way off.
The humidification system is a foam type humidifier, I use crystal systems so that went into the trash as well. It would work fine if you want to add the juice but I find the crystal systems to be easier to use.
The size is as advertised dimensionally and looks just like the photo provided. I think I might get 40-50 coronas in there, which is why I bought it. You won't be filling this up with 50 churchills or anything over 50 ring for certain, it just isn't that big.
Overall assessment, I think it is a decent box that can be tweeked to function as a humidor. I won't be putting a box of $300 cigars inside but it should work well to improve the humidity and quality of a bundle of $30 coronas. You should plan on buying a better guage or maybe yours will work better than mine did. I actually am pleased enough with this box that I will be ordering another one. We'll see what my next one is like.

I was home sick and needed a new vaporizer. I saw this and had it shipped overnight. When I opened the box I noticed the box containing the vaporize was yellow; like it had been sitting on a shelf somewhere for years. I took it out of the box, filled and plugged it in and NOTHING. No steam. It didn't even get warm. Also the top part didn't, fit securely on the base so when I added the water it moved up and down. It is a cheap piece of junk. Oh yeah there was a bottle in there in which you can add to help you breath better but that look like it was opened and tape shut. This is being returned and I want a full refund (overnight charges too).Amazon you need better quality control. You should not be sending products that have been on the shelf since the 60's.

Danby Premiere DDR70A1GP 70 pint dehumidifier - Euro Grey Review
Customer Ratings:
List Price: $269.99
Sale Price: $254.83
Today's Bonus: 6% Off

I'll start my review by saying I'm a Mechanical Design Engineer. Therefore my comments on this are from an engineering point-of-view.
The only negative thing I have to say is this a product from China. However It's very hard to find a product in this class made in the USA. I'll stop there.
I've never heard of Danby until I received an email from Amazon for deals on dehumidifiers. I was on the fence at first but a review of their website and reading Amazon reviews I felt better about proceeding with this purchase. I do not have any regrets with my decision.
Many people only look at the capacity of dehumidifiers (how much moisture they are rated at to remove). Although this is helpful in sizing a unit for a space, the next important specification is air flow. How much air does the fan in the device move. Typically expressed in Cubic Feet per Minute. Most manufacturers do not include this in residential dehumidifiers. This device moves some air!
Upon turning it on I noticed the fan squirrel cage is clearly visible through the vent on the top of the unit. Air is sucked in from the sides and is exhausted straight up from the top. There are very few obstructions in the vent openings which allow efficient air flow. The exhaust air blows upward which creates turbulance in the room air. This helps to get the air in the room circulating around resulting in more efficient dehumidification. Great design feature!. Whirlpool and Fridgidaire units don't to this.
The controls are very simple to operate. It also displays the room temp and relative humidity of the ambient room air. You can also switch units from F to C.
Danby actually includes a drain hose! I I attached the hose in a matter of seconds. I have this in my basement so emptying the bucket is a pain to remember. So I have the hose emptying the water into a HVAC condensate pump that automatically pumps the water to my mop sink via plastic tubing.
A two year warranty.
This unit is well designed. Modern in appearance. Easy to move. Easy to operate. Had it running in les the 10 minutes.
I have a pallet of Whirlpool and other dehumidifiers that lasted up to 2 years sitting in back of my garage. I think I'll capture the refrigerant, and bring them to the scrap yard. Since these using have a significant amount of aluminium and copper in them I'll make enough to purchase another Danby unit for my garage.
I hope I've pointed out enough to help you with your decision. Danby is an excellent product in my book.
I wanted something better that would work better when at 67-70F. So I started looking at the Danby dehumidifiers. I looked at the DDR7009REE and found it was from 2008/2009 time frame. I next looked at the DDR70A1GP wich looks like it is from this year. Danby also confirmed this. So I went and got one Danby DDR70A1GP and unplugged the SoleusAir in the living room and used the Danby in place of it. The Danby dehumidifier dropped the humidity another 7% to 10% over the one I unplugged. It was still 67-70F in the house and 100F outside. So I took back the First SoleusAir dehumidifier and got a 2nd Danby DDR70A1GP and then sent back the 2nd SoleusAir.
The Danby does make more noise then the SoleusAir dehumidifier about 56DB on high. The tank holds about 15 US pints. I get almost two tanks per day with the unit set to 30% so it always runs.
The Danby dehumidifiers as far as pulling humidity out of the air are much better then the SoleusAir once.
Pluses on the Danby DDR70A1GP.
1. Does a good job when your house is cool 67-70F.
2. Easy to feel button for a blind person.
3. Air comes out the top of the unit.
4. The air intake is in the front of the unit.
Minuses
1. The hose connection doesn't work with standard US hook ups. The main reason for this is do to the fact it is flat on the top and bottun of the hook up. The manual and so forth is worked so that you think you can just use any hose and that isn't the case. Danby also confirmed this when I called and talked to them about it. They got one Star taken off because of it.
2. Noise 56DB on high. I think they could have made this a little quieter without cutting air flow. 212 CFM on high.
3. Tank design is bad. You can't set the tank down being it leans towards the back of the tank.
4. You need to use two hand to remove the tank. The best way I found to remove the tank is the following. Place both hands on either side of the tank with your thumbs above the tank on the main unit your fingurs should be on the side of the tank. Now press with your thumbs on the unit and at the same time pulling on the tank! It will come out easy. You do need two hand to empty the tank as well.
5. The cord! The cord comes straight out of the wall. They could have mae it so that the cord came out of the bottum of the wall plug.
6. Fan runs all the time even if the unit isn't pulling humidity out of the air. OK with air flow to determine humidity level but they should have the unit go to a much slower speed in this case and then speed back up to the fan speed you have set when it is dehumidifing.
7. You have to remove the tank before you can clean the air filter.
Do to the minuses I removed an 2nd star.
Just connect the hose and it leads to my basement sump pump.
When I first turned this machine on, it showed that my basement's humidity level was at 70%. After
running it for 3 hours, my basement felt fresh, no musky smell at all. The humidity level dropped to
59%. I put it on the high fan setting. By the next morning, the humidity level dropped to 50 % and
the basement smelt so fresh. By mid morning, the humidity level dropped to 46 percent. I had the
machine programmed to 40% humidity. I have this machine for about 1 month now and the lowest level
of humidity it indicated was 42%. I didnt have to empty the water at all because the hose
works very well in discarding the condensed water to the sump pump. This model also runs more quiet than
my previous whirlpool dehumidifier that I bought 7 or 8 years ago.
I chose to buy this demudifier at Amazon because they have the 2012 model of DDR70A1GP and it is cheaper
than the 2009 model of DDR7009REE offered at HD and Lowes. Amazon had it shipped promptly to me on
a 2-day free shipping. It was a win-win situation for me.

I initially had two SoleusAir dehumidifiers (DP2-70-03(Amazon)&GL-DEH-70-2(Lowes)) that I got during July 2012. Honest reviews on Danby Premiere DDR70A1GP 70 pint dehumidifier - Euro Grey
This worked great in my basement, and I was very happy with the purchase until it stopped working after 3 months. The fan stopped. I tried all the trouble-shooting advice, but nothing. If I unplugged it, the fan would start again when I plugged it in, but it was cold air coming out, and then it would stop again fairly quickly. I called Danby, and they said I needed to get it serviced at an authorized Danby dealer. They had a list, but everyone I called was either out of business or didn't service dehumidifiers. I stopped trying to find a place after I exhausted all possibilities within an hour of me, and I live in Seattle, so you would think there would be at least one place. Amazon was willing to take it back for a refund, I guess since it was still in the warranty period. So now I'm back to shopping for another dehumidifier. It won't be a Danby.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Danby Premiere DDR70A1GP 70 pint dehumidifier - Euro Grey
The Danby Premier 70 pint is a smaller size than I was supposed to get for my square footage, but the next size up jumped way up in price, so I gave this one a try. I got it last month for my basement. I did a lot of research and this one got the best reviews for the price range. It arrived timely and it perfect condition. With a whisper it has sucked every drop of moisture out of my leaky, wet, dank cellars, a couple moisture points per day. Slow but sure, it has gone from 73% to a now steady 45% moisture dry as a bone! I actually like going down there now. Wicked easy to set up, easy to move around, easy to use. I only gave it 4 stars because I live in Maine and have yet to see if this machine lasts some years and handles the winter chill well; if so, up that to 5 stars.
