The picture is misleading and obviously photo-manipulated because it shows the 3 mists all going up. Real product has one nozzle pointing up and back, and two on the sides pointing parallel to the floor. So if you have anything directly adjacent to it, it will become soaked.
I also have the Crane "Drop"-shape humidifier; much bigger tank and cute for kid's room as well.

This was not a good product. It leaked all over. The water leaked out of the side and eventually flooded the stand we placed it on. Tried a few different places to place it and still had the same problem. Looks better than it works.Best Deals for Kids Line Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier
We just received this today (12/03/2011) as a Baby Registry gift from our friends. This cool mist humidifier is very cute and it's made with very good material, we just love it. Here's how we got it to work, super easy. My wife just opened the package, filled up the water tank, put it back, plugged in the power, and turned it on, that's it. The cool mist then just started to come out on top of the monkey's head and both of his ears.I was a little worry about this Kids Line Humidifier before because I read reviews from another web site stating that this model leaks water, but there is no water leaking at all, it works perfectly and safely. I bought a Crane Humidifier a month ago, and we had to return it because it didn't work. The major differences between the Kids Line Humidifier and Crane Humidifier is that the way the water tank is designed. After we filled water inside the tank, we have to turn the water tank upside down in order to put it back. Here lies the huge problem with the Crane models, the water from inside would come pouring out onto the bottom part of the humidifier, which wets everything under it. The Kids Line Humidifier doesn't have this problem, the water tank doesn't leak water when it's turned upside down.
Honest reviews on Kids Line Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier
I was hesitant initially to purchase this item based on the mixed reviews but after buying it I'm so happy I did. I love this humidifier! I've used it daily since 12/1/12. Some highlights:PRO's
1. It fits the jungle theme perfectly in my newborn's bedroom and the humidifier works great. So far I've only used this in my living room which is approximately 500 600 sq ft. It gets refilled 2-3 x's to keep my humidity between 35% 40% ( 20% without use) will vary depending on room size and desired humidity level.
2. No filters! I have hard water so I have followed the instructions to soak in vinegar (left for 1 hr instead of 20 min bc I got sidetracked). Only soaking 1x per week rather than daily; haven't noticed any effect. Note: I considered using bleach but would imagine this would deteriorate the water seal. Just follow the provided instructions to use vinegar!! See note for product in Con #1 if you're concerned with bacteria.
3. The 360 degree mist. Comes out of each ear and the top of the monkey's head. Have not had leaks like other reviewers -I have had it sitting on a cheap, 12-in round pan just to ensure no damage to the wood stand it was on.
CON's:
1) Can't reach inside of water tub to scrub out. I would use my Holmes Humidifier Bacteriostat solution but I don't think it's necessary since the water doesn't sit for an extended period.
2) Manual functions no digital display or timer. NOT a big deal. I decided to buy the Acu-Rite Home Comfort Monitor from Amazon and love it! Monitors the humidity level accurately and saved me money not having to spend more for a built in humidistat.
One additional note: My allergist informed me that dust mites cannot survive above 40% humidity (I am highly allergic). Keep this in mind when humidifying the intended space for your child. My humidistat ensures that I stay within a comfortable 30-40% level.
The con's had no impact for me, therefore, I gave this adorable monkey a 5 star review. If anything changes, I will come back to provide an update.

I just got this home and I opened the instruction manual. Here is what it says verbatim:"Place the humidifier on an elevated, non-metallic, lint-free, water resistant, level surface at least 5 inches away from walls, heat sources, and ledges
DO NOT place on carpet, towel or fabrics. The fan vent is located on the bottom of the water basin. The fan vent MUST NOT be obstructed.
DO NOT place the humidifier on a wooden surface or near furniture that can be damaged by moisture.
(Then underneath in bold)
Do not place the humidifier on top of a towel or a carpeted surface."
So let me get this straight... I can't put in on carpet, and I can't put it on wood, and I can't put it on metal, so where the heck am I supposed to put it??!?! I bought it for my baby's room, which is hardwood floors with a rug in the middle of the room... so where can I put it? Does this company think that all rooms are made of tile? I really don't get the design of the this product... it's completely impractical to be used in any bedroom or family room, which is where most humidifiers are used.
I would just ignore the manual, but I don't want the thing to break in 3 weeks. Ugh... back to the old drawing board I suppose.
