This is a fun item. And it really cute when it works. It just takes a pretty hot fire to get him steaming , otherwise he just has a drippy nose. In the two weeks I have had it on my wood stove I have only got it hot enough to produce steam a couple of time.

This item is cute to look at but does not perform the "steaming nostrils" function at all.We tried several locations on our very hot woodstove but no results.
We have been in touch with the seller (3rd party) and she was very nice about return/ refund/ exchange.
Also was urprised that the top piece is only made of China glass, not cast iron like the bottom.
Could break on the first fall if you weren't very careful.
