Aromatherapy feature works GREAT: adding a few drops of an essential oil transforms the whole aura of the place.
I uploaded a ton of pictures with notes, check them out. I am a lousy photoghrapher, those pictures lack luster but they show you everything you may want to know about this model.
That said, there are a couple design features showed in the pictures:
1. The snout has the tip wrapped insidewards, forming a pocket of plastic. This causes backflux: condensate accumulates on the tip and flows back. Too much condensate, the unit shuts down. You have to take the hood off, shake the water out, dry it out a bit before replacing it and restarting the unit. To prevent this from happening, do not unplug the unit immediately after you turn it off. After you turn the unit off by pressing the button, the fan keeps running (humming) for about 2 minutes more, to clean up any moisture accumulated in the hood. Unplug the unit after the fan stops naturally and you should be fine.
2. The on/off button placed on the bottom, not the most comfortable place unless you park the unit up on a nightstand.
3. The air inlet on the bottom does not allow the unit to be placed directly on a carpet, it has to rest on a hard flat surface. As it shows on my pictures, I opted for a 3rd party plastic tray.
That said, still, even at this price, I bought the second one for another bedroom and will buy one more for my home office.
Out of 2 units I ordered, 1 turned out defective: it was much louder than the good one and the area around the button was strangely hot. I contacted the manufacturer, they are processing replacement for free.

Up north, the winters are dry despite the snow, so my husband and I like to have a humidifier in the bedroom. I've always hated the way they looked, but it was an ugly necessity. But now, this little number has solved the problem. It's beautiful and runs silent, filling the room with just the right amount of moisture. Keep in mind it has a limited water reservoir, so it has to be refilled nightly, and is made for a smaller space, such as a bedroom. It has settings for different levels of humidity and alerts you when the water tank is empty. Well made, durable, and handsome!
