I purchased this product to replace an old wick that I had in my humidifier. The new product went in fine and seemed to work...other than having a funny "factory" smell at first. After a couple days of using the wick I still noticed the smell. I took the wick out and doused/rinsed it in water. That seemed to help cut the smell. We continued to use the humidifier 24/7 for the next couple of weeks and the wick continued to be fine. It worked well for about 30 days of constant use at which point I removed it from the humidifier because it was starting to mold. Would be great for someone who uses the products sporadically.
