When I first placed the unit in the room, it ran whisper quiet. After two weeks of constant nightly use, it "rattles" when misting; the seal between parts no longer holds because water now pours through the juncture of parts. I exchanged it. Again, the unit worked well at first, but now after three months, the "rattle" and leakage is evident. I am thinking that regular use wears the parts too fast, maybe if I only used it once in a while. At the very least, I do like the design and the ease of set up. It may even be worth a round of replacement parts.

Pros: quiet, quiet, quiet > had it for three months still quiet; two mist settings high and low > does a good job for a small room at night; simple to operate > on/off, high/low; has a blue light at the mist spout which acts like a night light; because of the "Cons" I have been using it less > looking into buying another humidifier; water basin easy to clean > no nocs or squeeze space; to clean reservoir > few drops of peroxide, shake, shake, shake release and let air dry or rinse and use immediately.

Cons: pain in the you know where to remove and snap reservoir contain in and out > need serious finger gripping power to pull reservoir up and out then need ESP to snap it back in > for some reason it does not go back in the same way it came out; bottom fill > reservoir-release-cap has three delicate little pegs that go into the container opening which needs a twist-turn to lock back in place > if any of the pegs snap there goes the humidifier.

Neutral: at low setting water reservoir lasts 9 hours, on high about 7-8 > I usually sleep 6 hours a day so this fine for me.

Note: humidifiers that draw air from the bottom > place a raised-metal-wire-net rack underneath device to elevate device to allow better air intake exit circulation.

I have had it for 2 weeks, so I can't speak for the longevity, but it's very compact, good for use on an office on your desk. My only complaint so far is that on the low setting, the tank only lasts for about 5-6 hours, so you have to fill it twice for a typical work day. However because it's so small, it's not a big effort to carry it to sink to fill it. The only other downside, which doesn't matter if you are using it on a desk, is that if you are planning to use it in your bedroom at night, it does emit a bright little blue led light when on, which might irritate you in a dark room, but I guess you could cover that up with duct tape or something. It does make a little bit of noise, but not enough to bother me. Oh, and it wouldn't last all night, so I find myself when I get up to pee in the middle of the night, turning it off b/c it has run out. So, in summary, good for office desk, not for bedroom overnight.

In the beginning it worked exactly as stated in manual: 6 hours on 2nd setting and 10 hours on 1st setting. After 2 weeks it made a lot of noise and did not blow any mist at all. There is one part which collects mineral deposits which I tried to clean with supplied brush. I cleaned it for half an hour and could not get it off. I used vinegar, but it did not help much. I have noticed that other humidifiers do not even have that part, but blow the air directly, while this one redirects it. Also, the light is annoying, I covered it with tape after a few days.

Complete waste of money, I have returned it.

I purchased this product from bed, bath and beyond, and after getting it set up, found that it leaked incessantly, to the point where after three attempts at use (all unsuccessful), coupled with reading the online reviews on this site (where the product has about a 2 star overall rating), I am happily returning this product.
