I only rate an item if it's extremely good, or really poor, and this item is great. We bought it for our daughter because she would cough at night. After we put it in her room it really reduced her coughing. It also doubles as a great night light. We liked it so much we bought a similar humidifier that was in the shape of a panda, but it was not nearly as good as the hello kitty product, and it didn't have the night light feature.

I was looking for a small and quiet humidifier and this was exactly what I needed. Also, because I had a bad experience with my previous humidifier, I wanted one with no filter. I have it for 2 months now and no problems at all.

We love this humidifier. First of all, it's quiet at all levels of output. It's easy to use, has adjustable output, and best of all...no damp, yucky filter to worry about harboring mold and mildew. We're buying another!

Now, we're not impressed. After a single winter, it began making loud fan noises and had to be thrown away--no more 5 stars for you!

I'm shocked to say...this is truly my favorite humidifier, and I've had about 8 or 9 in my lifetime. I bought it for my 8 month old daughter who just caught her 1st cold. I went online & read every review before I purchased anything, and I was surprised that these Crane animal cool-mist humidifiers were getting such a great rating. So I went for the Hello Kitty, because it's cute and also I love the nightlight feature, and sure enough...it's the best! The cool mist comes out IMMEDIATELY, which I like. It also doesn't leave anything wet anywhere around it, which is shocking! I've always had warm mist in my previous humidifiers, so I wasn't sure how much I would like it with the cool mist, but it works out great. Plus I feel rest assured that my daughter won't get burned (as soon as I turn it on, she waves her hand through the mist). She has a 12x12 room and I find that if I leave it on too long (like all day), it's almost like walking into a cloud! That's how much mist it puts out. So, if I leave it on during the 12-13 hours she is sleeping, that is perfect. Then I can turn it back on when she's napping and turn it off when she's awake (I truly don't need it running continually because you can feel the moisture in the air). Again nothing in her room got wet! I was afraid of dampness on the walls or carpet, but it just doesn't happen. And I like that it doesn't run out of water too quickly. I was worried that half way through the night it would be empty, but that is not the case. I only have had to change/refill the water every 2 days. Another cool feature, you can see how much water is left! I like that a lot. One peek in her room at night, and you can see the water line through the nightlight so I know if she has enough to keep going all night. I highly recommend this, and I like that I can just drive to Target & pick it up there too.

Bought this for my infant daughter's room since winter months are very dry. I use it every night and since it's the only one in the house (so far) whenever I go into her room at night, my nasal passages clear up immediately and I can breathe it feels marvellous!

It's cute. It works and it has a nice, ambient light. Sometimes it's hard to see the mist shooting straight into the air as the instructions say they should and I made the mistake of putting a towel under it when I moved it into my son's room temporarily (I think there must be some kind of air intake underneath because it didn't work so well that way) but those are not problems with the humidifier itself.

I would highly recommend this product. Clean it regularly (with two kids under three, it's not easy to do!) and you'll get plenty of good use from it.
