It's hard to tell if this product actually adds humidity to the air. It would be great to use a measuring device to confirm it's actions. I can only say that running the unit constantly did not seem to improve the air. The replacement filters and cost would be another factor to keep in mind. Honeywell usually makes good products, so this unit is a bit of a mystery.

THIS IS A VERY NICE HUMIDIFIER, EASY TO FILL RUNS QUIETLY, THE ONLY PROBLEM IS... YOU NEED TO CHANGE THE FILTERS WHY TO OFTEN. OVER A YEARS PERIOD, YOU WILL BE REPAYING THE PRUCHASE PRICE OF THE ITEM. I AM NOT HAPPY WITH THAT AT ALL. PLUS THE FACT MY OTHER HUMIDIFIER FROM HUNTER RUNS THE SAME SIZE TANK AND LAST FOR 48 HRS, RUNNING CONSTANTLY, I ONLY RUN THIS ONE 9 HOURS AT NIGHT, AND IT NEEDS TO BE REFILLED. DOES NOT EVEN LAST A DAY. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS ITEM.
