Tried different ways to put it in the humidifier but these never drew enough water for the humidifier to be effective. Went back to buying the OEM filters from Walmart.

This is not exactly the perfect fit for my Bionaire but will still work. I ordered extra to have when I'm cleaning the others.

Although this product may work as well as the original, there is a difference between what I have gotten from the store before (Home Depot)(which is the same as the original wickpad) and the one I received thru the amazon.com order.

The original had a sturdy plastic net on one side to keep the pad rigid. This one has a metal net in the middle of the pad to keep the pad rigid. I don't know which is better.

The original pad came with a button tab stuck thru the top which is inserted into the filter holder. It keeps the filter sort of hanging, although it does touch the bottom. This one did not come with a tab, but can be used. Again, I don't know if this affects performance.

I did not realize until later that the price of this product was abut $2.50-3.00 higher than the store. I usually don't mind this, considering the price of gasoline, but it should be noted. It should also be noted, that in a pinch, almost any paper humidifier wicking material can be used by cutting to size, being sure the wick is cut and placed in the right direction to wick the water upward, rather than sideways.
